Here is my armory link.. Spreadsheet says with that gear and talents(affliction not destro) and 30% ICC buff I do 15k dps.. although I'm doing 7-8k dps.. Rotation is usual SB->Haunt->UA->CoA->Corruption and again.. Ofc 25% is Drain Soul.. I just want help what's wrong with me.. I am looking not to loose dots etc.. I am confused. Thank you in advance

So I got into an argument with some of my guildies about using pestilence during the 25m Saurfang encounter. It was not a heroic mode fight - my guild hasn't downed LK yet - and they told me that I shouldn't Pestilence because of the blood beasts. Now, I wasn't able to time my pest with the blood beasts perfectly, the beasts got hit by my disease around 2-3 times, but I told them that GoD was the only way to go. They told me it was better to do IT, PS to refresh my diseases.

I'm the only frost dk in the guild, they don't know how to dps as frost, and they can't get it through their heads that i HAVE to pest to pull highest dps. I lost only to an unholy DK - only because i didn't DBW.

Also, I was told that Armor Penetration wasn't that good for DKs...I almost fell out of my seat laughing.

I told them about the heavy reliance on obliterate and melee - but they said that was only 2 things, and trinkets like DBW should go to combat rouges. While we have no limitations on who gets the trinket (not ret pallies/enh shammies/mut rouges, but who it helps) but its retarded that my DPS is treated as sub par.

I love my guildies, i believe they are just misinformed, does anyone have any suggestions on how to broach this subject?

Edit: decided to scrap this post as it came a bit too close to wishlisting about what a different SS debuff could be.

We'll just have to wait and see how they deal with this LvB/ED issue and go from there.

Expertise affects Combat like it affects others melee dps : it prevents your attacks from being parrying or dogded.

But in the Combat spec you got a talent which increase your expertise by 10, so you don't need as much rating as a Mut rogue, for example. You only need something like 132 Exp rating (tooltip reading 16 w/o talents) to cap with the Weapon Expertise talent.

With starter Icc gear, Combat rogues usually take the LW craft (Footpads of Impending Death) to help a lot , and the Ikfirus Sack of Wonder helps too.

To any other slowly but surely players, hang in there. I am astounded at how much of this I understood. And a big thank you to the author of this doc... outstanding. Does anyone know if there is a glossary for all the abbreviations or should I just continue to figure it out as I go along?

Why they said you shouldnt pest ? if you got agro from your disease you should blame range dps, unholy dk might want to pest too since it'll apply ebon plague to all beasts.
Just tell your guild pestilence is part of rotation, Pest+OB > IT+PS anyday.

Arp is slightly better than str but you need to reach atleast 90% arp to make it effective.

DBW is good for all melee and hunters but some classes and spec got more benefit from it.

Ok, thanks Myuu. My guild basically hates melee dps, they much prefer ranged dps, because they feel that ICC 10 is more built to be ranged dps friendly. So I really can't blame ranged dps haha...but thanks anyway

My guild have 11/12 25hc progress and I think we can kill LK 25HC in about 2-3 months. I don't be had Shadowmourne. My question: what weapons is best choice for me ?

Now I have Cryptmaker HC and Shadow's Edge what I should chose, another Cryptmaker HC (rawr say this) or Glorenzelg, High-Blade of the Silver Hand (Landsoul Spreadsheet).

It is not entirely satisfying listening to wither Alex or Garona. Garona has always been protrayed as a lithe, agile and generally 'fragile' compared to the normal Orc female. Her voice makrs her as even more rough than the NPCs. It makes Medivh's little dabble seems rather... fetish'ish (his only known 'encounter' is with a woman that is more male than he ever was and sounds like it as well). The quality isn't terribly impressive either. The voice is devoid of emotion and direction. Sort of similar to the new voice of Sylvanas.

Alexstrasza, again the voice isn't fitting with her as such. She represents herself as a Belf/Helf at her best, but sounds like te age she really is. It makes for wondering about her own ability to see her age and try to fight it. :P But when I think back on all the other dragons we have faced, most of them have timeless or young voices. This is most apparent with Malygos. Deathwing is slightly different since he isn't physically the same anymore, but even he has a voice that sounds more ragged than old. I wonder if her model will now be hunched over with a walkingstick.

It's ok with both voices, an argument could be made, but the thing that grates me is that Blizzard ha already made their decision on how they should be represented. This goes against that unfortunately. But, if there is a quest or a dialogues somewhere where it is mentioned that Alexstrasza has suffered from the sundering and the loss of Malygos or some stuff like that, then an older voice isn't bad at all.
I just fear that it is the case of Sylvanas again.

Hello again all,

I've done a couple of searches on wowinterface, wow.curse, and this site, but couldn't find what I was looking for.

I'm looking for an AddOn (preferably lightweight) that monitors the casting of (specific) party/raid members.
To illustrate what I mean, I've got two outdated and no longer working addons:

An updated CastMonitor would be the best thing ever. It looked like this:

Which is pretty epic.

PartyCastingBars was also alright, but that display casting bars for all party members, and only in a party, not in a raid.

Therefor I ask, does anyone know something like this?

hey im having a huge problem with dps. my gear is samazing yet i still do only about 7or 8k dps yet my friend does 12k dps and he has same gear as me and same gems n enchants. can some1 please help me out i would really apprecite it

One thing I don't understand about the spreadsheet is, at the beginning it had me gemming AP, but I got some new wpns, and a trinket now it is telling me to gem nothing but haste, wtf!!!!

The spreadsheet is going to recommend whichever gems are the highest EP value, even if its only a .1 dps increase.
