I find it disheartening he managed to dance around every single well-thought out enhancement concern posted. Don't get me started on elemental's reliance on going into melee to drop magma totem. I don't even play elemental, but i recall people listing the cooldown on earthquakes AE and asking what they were supposed to do in that downtime period, run in to melee and drop magma? it's a bad mechanic, he missed the point while "attempting" to answer the question.
Points missed are as follows: reliance on feral spirits, spell hit for enhancement, SOE for enhancement in pvp, static shock changes, shield changes, defensive cooldowns, malestrom weapon getting the static shock treatment, and the list goes on!
Does anyone else find it funny that holy power is suspiciously similar to maelstrom weapon 2.0? It generates from attacks, only takes three stacks instead of 5, comes stock with a nifty UI, and has less RNG as it generates from specific cooldown attacks. I also found Long Arm of the Law rather sad because its sort of what some have been asking for; separating spirit walk from feral spirits. Granted its not exact, but its along the same lines. We have a plethora of issues, many which another class may share one or two. I recall postings from GC saying we dont like that model, we're going to change it, but there is nothing addressed with the same issue for enhancement. I.E. rogue reliance on cooldowns...I can't recall the rest as of right now. Anyone care to post on that thread with a definitive enhancement post asking for specific issues, some of which have already posted, to be addressed? I'd do it, but i don't have my authenticator just now. I just feel like he really danced around many of the important topics!
There are three combo point classes as of now, enhancement being the only one relying primarily on rng and without its own UI. Granted, I don't care about the UI because i utilize power auras classic and shock and awe, but it feels like a slap in the face. This is a giant burden for movement and pvp.
Banzaii, what you always have to keep in mind when reading any thread in the official forums is that any blue response is going to be written for the lowest common denominator. Ghostcrawler, no matter what is said in these forums, is anything but stupid. He gets the mechanics and the numbers. He isn't going to post them though unless it's something necessary like the mechanics of armor-penetration because the stuff is confusing for that lowest common denominator. Post the numbers and he will see them and even if he doesn't address them just be content in knowing that they are being looked at.
The fact that he is talking in a shaman thread like that means that his development team is either talking shaman or is about to talk shaman. Personally, I'm getting a bit burned out on it at the moment but I know that they have seen all of the crap I have posted there over the last month or so. If you don't like a direction they are taking then get over there and point it out where it actually might mean something.
As for the crap about holy power or long arm of the law, please get it the hell outta this thread. Do paladins have ghost wolf or frost shock? No. Does it matter that they don't? No. Because we are different classes and diluting any valid arguments you could be making by bringing up comparisons like that is pointless and has no place here. Same thing with Rogues and their cooldowns, doesn't matter since they aren't us.
Maelstrom weapon looks to be making spells mana free, that's a good thing. Static shock was changed from a random model to something more directed, that's a good thing. I like the new version of shamanistic rage, although I really do wish they would incorporate 2T10 into the talent. As for SoE and fire nova and all the other things we have really good reason to complain about, complain about them there. They are certainly talking about us, so give them reasons to fix those things. Good reasons that don't involve "but they got that so I should get it too". Entitlement means crap to them, it's a video game not an equal rights convention.
Changes are coming, at the end EJ will be here to run the numbers and figure out the best way to play what we end up with or it will help you to figure out what you would rather play in Cataclysm. Just save the bitching and wishlisting for the official forums.
Jessamy, if I overstepped myself here I am sorry. Also if you want me to delete or edit the text due to backseat moderation, just let me know.
I like the 1min. CD on the updated Chakra. Because most of the effects last fro 30 seconds, it will be up typically, about 45% of the time. Not only that, but it also buffs damage, making a Holy DPS spec viable (especially considering the Disc splash for Arch and Evangelism).
More importantly, Lightwell is becoming a T3 talent. That's a big change. Also, the other big change is the SoR change, so that Spirit isn't increased by 5% for taking the talent. That's going to be a huge difference in regen.
Still, it's going to be interesting talenting once the new trees are implemented.

I have tested it out many many times on the dummies and always COE outperforms COD for my destro spec, and that's a target with no resistances! If the target had any fire resistance the result would be greater. Add that to the fact that COE is going to increase the DPS of anyone attacking that target and I can't see that there's much of a choice really.
If you have any other locks in your group, will multiple COEs stack? Are there any other debuffs from other classes that don't stack with COE?
The reason you don't use COE is that unholy dk's and boomkins can keep the same effect up and they don't stack. Of course COE outperforms COD on a dummy, you have to add 13% more damage to everything you do without it. Using COE in a raid environment is just wasting a GCD usually, whilst using COD is a gcd that does damage.
Hey all. I am a destruction lock with the rest of my points in demonology (The World of Warcraft Armory - Locknloadd @ Nazjatar - Profile). For some reason my DPS will not get over 3k and it is really starting to annoy me. What could I do to get my DPS up? Is there a different rotation or talent build that I am missing? By the way I got my talent build from here. Please help!
I just wanted to ask if Intelligence is still the most important stat for a holypal. I'm more ore less ICC10 equipped right now and all of my gems are Intelligence except for one because of the meta. I have around 2,5k Spellpower, 41% Holycrit, 424 haste, 205mp5 and 32k mana unbuffed. Would you recommend to pay more attention to any of these thats or is it a good way to go?
You shouldn't plan your stats around cooldowns like BL or Berzerking since that you will spend more of each fight without those active. You want enough haste as Fire to get your GCD down to 1 second, since instants are a big part of our rotation. With full raid buffs and 2T10 that point is right around 780 haste. RAWR always wants me about 810-820 haste for whatever reason when I look at my gear and gemming. I'm not sure exactly why, but since that just means using 1 sp/haste gem right now to get that I just do it. Once you have enough haste for the GCD to reach 1 second then you want to gem sp/crit rather than sp/haste.
Yes. As a Holy Light Spec'd Paladin you want to stack INT, Haste, and then MP5. INT being the most important.
There are some who prefer a more raid healing friendly Flash of Light build. This requires you to stack Spell Power over INT. The general consensus is that the Holy Light Spec is by far superior to the FoL build in terms of healing throughput.
There is a great thread in this forum loaded with information that you may find useful. Here is the Link:
