I’ve been flicking through this thread and there’s some interesting conversations happening which seem to be on track to what I have been testing.

It seems that most are having issues with their “Boss” rotation as well with much more attention going into when to pop mw if say ue cd is near or lvb is just coming off cd. After a year of never not (double neg ) having a button to mash waiting for a cd just seems alien to me.

I am curious to what the theory crafters have thought about the new glyph system however. I do plan to test this when I get home, however one thing did strike me. With SS becoming less important I wanted to look at ditching it as a prime glyph and going for lvb in its replacement.

Elemenal viability

Hey, I am lvling a shaman at the moment and I am having a huge interogation in my mind. Can elemental shamans be first dps in a raid with equal gears with a mage or a rogue....?

I know its stupid but I really like to be on the top of the chart, and I NEVER saw any elemental or enhancement shaman beat my mage's dps. But I really am bored of mage's rotation cause you have 2 skills to use.
thx

Im just looking for some good advice for my lvl 19 rogue. Ive decided i wanted a lvl 19 for battlegrounds just for a fun and see what its all about, but im not sure about anything on rogues.
Basically what im asking is if anyone has found a good rotation for a lvl 19 rogue where its possible to kill my enemy as quick as possible without sustaining to much damage?

Rotation

I've been a lock for a while now and it is the only class I even enjoy playing. I go back and forth with CoD and CoE for damage. I know the CoD does a good amount of damage but in that 1 min of time with 13% bonus damage from all my other skills due to CoE wouldn't I get more damage than CoD from that bonus? Also, it tends to benefit all other casters in DPS so in a raid wouldn't that be better? I know this is just for now 'cause when Cata comes out there will be other stuff us Destro locks will use. I have a couple of friends who can't answer the question so I figured I'd bring it here.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the "guides" are assuming you have an Unholy DK or Boomkin in the raid, as they also have the 13% spell damage debuff.

If neither of those classes are in your group/raid, then I would agree on applying CoE.

Do they stack?

Nope though CoE lasts the longest at 5 minutes with boomkins' Earth and Moon near 100% uptime and unholy DK's Ebon Plaguebringer maintaining their buff last.

It is not worth casting CoE if either a boomkin or Unholy DK is in the mix.

re: boomkins: if the target is immune to arcane, go ahead and use CoE as Earth and Moon won't work.

Hi, I'm not looking to be a super pro, but can anyone help me do some minor changes to my dk, Bonehoarder? Any advice would be welcomed! Just looking to improve my dps which is a pathetic 3k on a good day and should be much higher with my gear.
thank you very much in advance,

I have a quick question:

I have been reading websites looking for the answer and I keep getting different answers all the time.

I am gnome arcane mage, what is my arcane hit cap without me being in a group.

Should a Retribution Pala go for Devotion Aura which is about 2% less damage taken or better Retribution Aura to hit a little passive damage?
Of course I know about frost and shadow auras vs mage or warlock but I'm wondering whats better vs warrior, dk and especially for a mirror match.

Thanks
anything but ret aura pmuch

As far as Blood Boil, DnD, and your diseases (i.e., all of your AoE capabilities) are concerned:

1. Necrosis affects 0/3, as it only adds to your melée auto-attacks.
2. Dark Conviction affects 2/3, as both Blood Boil and DnD may crit.

Which do you think you should take for an AoE spec?
answer: dirge... which, given GCD constraints and runic regeneration without it, is one of the most useless talents you can buy, at least in my personal experience. i never have a gap in my strike mashing on single target when i don't have enough RP for a DC (except for maybe like 2 seconds out of every 30 or so) - unless you're finding yourself actively and consistently RP starved, the only thing Dirge does in my experience is make people think they need to RP dump more than they really need to, and sacrifice Strike time to do it.
though obviously that's going to be based on your personal style - i assume *some* people most find the spare RP very useful, or else Dirge wouldn't keep showing up on builds.

I have recently acquired heroic Bryntoll, and I was wondering how good the proc was for a 2h unholy (sub frost, no reaping?) DK. I've tried the sims, but they either seemed very inaccurate, outdated or just simply did not work. I'm currently wielding Glorzenzelg, which has me on 32 expertise. If I were to equip heroic Bryntroll I would drop to 17 expertise, so I'd probably have to gem expertise to make up for being under the cap. Point is, I am losing so much strength and crit by doing that, I'm not entirely sure it's worth the 20 dps/proc upgrade.

And while I'm here, I'm still gemming str/haste in yellow slots, as I already have around 37% crit unbuffed due to the Whispering Fanged Skull. Swap to str/crit or keep on going?
