I'm curious about a couple of things. First one is the new bear mangle. Basically it does twice as much damage as before and with the agi change and a vengeance stacked full will we really be seeing 20k bear mangle crits when 4.0 hits?

Second thing is vengeance. How will effects like savage defense and priest shields effect it. If I absorb 10k damage will that still stack my vengeance or will it just be the damage that goes through?

Third question is about the new thorns. Since it doesnt seem to require mana will it be castable in bear and catforms?

Few things on the list that might be wrong.

Trash (direct) is affected by mangle
Trash (bleed) is affected by armor

The first one I don't know. It might be the same deal as with maul so I appologize if that is the case. the second one is probably a typo since I've never heard of a case where armor would affect a bleed.

the bow from Lady Dw 25 heroic has wrong stats.
ilevel 277
Live: 288.8 + 91.5 dps (arrows)
Ptr: 325.8

LK 10 heroic xbow
ilevel 271
Live: 270.8 + 91.5
Ptr: 365.9

so it should be 380+

i reportet it several times in german ptr forum and on the ptr with the ingame tool but i think the devs don`t read eu reports.

The first recommended gem listed for blue sockets is Quick King's Amber - Item - World of Warcraft which is a yellow only gem. Could you update with one that is blue, purple, or green, or would you just suggest going with Energized Eye of Zul - Item - World of Warcraft (the alternate listed for metagem reqs)?

Agreed, tbh. I prob should have turned the two around as the nerf for the buff an subsequent rebalancing of the affected classes is indeed more likely.

Yes, the DP proc takes too long. Almost a full GCD. If I try to play with 3HP, than i loose too many DP proc.
An another problem is, that the TV can proc a DP too, so if u pushing the TV button twice or more, because u want to be sure hit in right time, u can release a 1HP TV, which is a loss of a whole GCD.

I made some tests on PTR. I wanted to know how strong is our haste atm. I reforged all possible haste(40%) to mastery. After this i tested my dps on dummy and noticed, i make around 15-20% less.

Compile Error: object library invalid

I have update my Office to 2010 - When I go in to gear part of your spreadsheet I keep getting "Compile Error: object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found"

I haven't had a problem with my old Excel any idea on how to fix this problem ?

I, too, was mislead by tool tip, '... damage dealt..' contrary to e.g. CoE's tool tip ' ... dmg taken..', seeing Shadow's Embrace like kind of 'my personal debuff on target' and therefore as dmg modifier, which would lead to 2 SBs at start. Dmg dealing is caster's active part, taking dmg is target's passive one to me, maybe just some problem caused by english not being my native language. Hope I do understand mechanic of SE right, now. (Hope dies at last^^)

After thinking about it for a while last night I think blizz just asked themselves the wrong question when trying to figure out how to remake druids. Instead of asking How do we keep them from blanketing rejuv?-they should of asked How can we make casting rejuv balanced? In trying to keep us from using our main hot they are turning the class into a bit of a mess. Regrowth is an abomination and couple that with clearcasting procs and you have a play style that just isn't interesting. I would bet money that regrowth is headed for some sort of nerf in the future if the style remains this way.

They don't want us casting too many hots, but they left us with a tree that is designed around it. Our signature ability requires a hot on the target as well as our cheap casted heal. Our longest hot is 12 seconds which makes it even more difficult to use other abilities. Our new mastery talent also requires a hot on target to be effective. The entire design seems very off. I have been playing this druid for a while now, but turning me into some crappy version of another class is painful to watch.

They really have to make it so tossing rejuvs out is viable and not OP-I am not sure how the class will be fun to play any other way. I guess they could decouple siftmend and nourish from hots, but then again what is the point of being a druid? I play this class because of the style. I don't understand why blizz is trying to take a class that is fun to play and completely change it instead of balancing it. I know that WG/rejuv spam is boring and OP, but there has to be a better way to change it.

I don't know if this would be OP or not, but a couple of suggestions:

1-Cap the number of rejuv targets at say 5 and increase the duration of rejuv to 15 and make the cost say 1000. At least it would give us some sort of AoE healing and ability to be predictive in our rotation.

2-Maybe give it some sort of a chain heal type effect and increase duration to 15 seconds. The first rejuv you cast could be very strong and each additional one would be weaker. That would actually require people to think about it and the cost of casting one would become very steep. Something like this would impose a self cap anyway and make playing a druid fun and actually require your brain.


Edit-now that I think about it maybe they could just leave the healing alone and increase the cost of each additional rejuv cast. Maybe first 1000 second 1500 third 2000 4th 2500 etc.

Looking forward towards the pre-cataclysm patch (Last few weeks of raiding in WOTLK) it would appear that Arms will certainly be the most viable dps spec at 80 since there's no way to get to Deep Wounds as fury at this level. Doing a dummy run on the PTR I found my dps as Arms to be about 1k higher (in my fury gear, so under hit and over expertise for arms). Obviously Arms will get the bonus from 2 set while Fury won't, but 4 set seems to be useless for both. On my dummy run I was rarely able to get 1 slam off as fury due to rage starvation. It is possible that in a raid environment with the various haste and crit buffs that rage generation may be great enough that the 4 pc might be of use for fury, but I don't see it as likely.

Basically I was wondering if anyone had done any investigation into raiding during the final pre-cata patch or any other general comments on the above.
