what's the way to go now? reforge haste+hit to crit or to mastery? What's the desired crit? haste? I am sitting at 43%crit and 700 haste (no armor or int) and 3470 sp. Before the patch i was doing 16k+ on tank and spank but now i am doing 10k on a dummy selfbuffed on fire while as arcane i was pulling 15k+. Should i regem to 20 INT in every gem? or mentain 10int 10 crit for 5+sp bonus sockets? Also is black magic better now? scaling with dots? or still 63sp is better? this is very confusing for me (new hot streak sucks )
edit : if someone could look at my armory page, i would be gratefull -even tho this is not a good thread to ask this (i think), Best of luck

Just wandering about how most of the disc priests are handling the 36 point based tree to be effective for wrath raids. Theoretically, can we still go either MT healer or Raid based? I have seen the in progress works many have been doing thru the cata thread for lvl 85 builds, but have not seen anything for new lvl 80 build to go with the new 4.0.1.0.a8 patch.

Aimed shot bug

If u cast aimed shot, it interrupts autoshots.

Can anyone else confirm that?

Raiding on patch day is always a pain, definatly when there is an entire hallover on your playstyle. Not to mention the glitches that are still left and other issues you might have on a patch day.

I'm a Combat Rogue and used the following Build (click!)

I tried a ruptureless rotation yesterday in ICC 25 HC: 4cp SnD, 5cp Evis (with RS used on 3 or 4)

with the following prime glyphs: SS, RS & EV

I felt that keeping SnD up with the changes to haste's effect on energy regeneration wasn't a problem at all. Using RV on the 3rd or 4th cp to give the extra damage to Evis. (without it critted raidbuffed for about 18, with it went up to even 27k at times, more than when I was ARP capped even).

These are my stats




Now I definatly didn't have my best day, I was having a lot of issues with some patchday bugs (sound on fights where comming in delayed (like 30 seconds) which really put me off a lot) My health bars above enemy targets kept fading away, which was really annoying as I already have eyesight issues :P Anyway I don't want to bore you with my inconveniences however I do believe that with some practise and without bugs I could put out around 14.5-15k dps on Saurfang (most static fight so easy to use as an example).

However, this is a World of Logs link (click!) from a few weeks ago on Saurfang, where I was on approx 17.2k dps. Whilst yesterday I was only on about 12,5k dps.


My gemming was basically mainly for 10agi10haste and I did NOT go for every socket bonus. I only filled my JC gem slots with 34 agility.

Also i'd like to apologize for not including a WoL from yesterday, as I have none.

EDIT: I'd also like to add that my SS's went for 7-8k now, whilst ArP capped they easily went for 11-15k, the damage of Eviscerate definatly didn't get nerfed but our most frequent damaging spell does a lot less damage now than it used to with ArP cap.

So with the new priority which involves less white damage I guess in theory the 271 Havoc's Call will outpeform 277 Black Bruise, or is that incorrect?

As I raided through ICC 25 H last night, I started off using Searing Pain and had our other raiding lock use Incinerate. It was undeniable that Incinerate trumps Searing Pain. It was most noticeable on a fight like Festergut where we both had good runs and almost identical uptime, the difference damage was something like:

Searing Pain: 850k (him)
Incinerate: 1.2 (me)

I'm not sure how the glyphs would impact that or changing the talent points, but it is definitely something to look into. I'll post something once I have more time to test "real" raiding numbers under different circumstances.

My current rotation is:

while moving into position:
Bane of Doom
Corruption
*Soulburn CD
Soul Fire
Doomguard

once stationary:
Immolate
Chaos Bolt
Conflag
spam Incinerate

rotation:
keep Corruption and Immolate up while clipping as little as possible
Chaos Bolt and Conflag on CD
spam Incinerate
Curse of Doom after full ticks
*Soulburn CD when necessary

Just looking at the talent points, noting that we could probably take 2 points out of Searing Pain and an extra 1 point in Nether Protection, I plan on moving all 3 points into Backlash, similar to before, where taking damage allows me to proc free Incinerates.

Regarding the zelotry and AW usage, i did 2 tests, one using both at the same time, and one using them one after the other, with a 1 min delay for the first AW so my engineering enchant get off cd.

The tests confirmed what some ppl stated on this forum, using zelotry and AW at the same time gives bigger burst, but on overall dmg i did more with using them separately Unfortunately i didn't take a screen shot.

EDIT: Just to make some clarification:
Im using Bryntrill HC, got 24% crit 928 haste and 10 mastery

After much back and forth testing on Beta and PTR I decided to go sub once patch went live, switching from combat.

Last nights WoL as sub WoW Talent Calculator - Sigrie (prime glyphs included)

I wound up with the following on hSaur

Permission denied

(we do keep our WoL private so may not work) or 14.1k DPS, down from 17.2k as combat the previous week.

I haven't been worrying too much about keeping Hemo up due to that fact that we have two feral druids running with us currently.

Prior to patch I was using my sub pvp spec for hDream and loved the increased mobilty avail. to me. Also, Shadow step seems to make hPrinces a little less annoying.

Edit: Just noticed that the armory isn't registering reforging as of yet.

Hi. Is anyone already working in a new BiS list? With the changes i have some real doubts about what should I focus. But my main question now is what 2 trinkets should I aim? Crit is scaling a little better now. My BiS list had Dislodged Foreign Object and Charred Twilight Scale. But now I want to know if any of those can be changed for Philactery. Anyone already did this math?

My dps on dummy went from 9.2k to 5.2k as destruction with SP rotation, totally not worth it anymore, so back to incinerate I guess.

Is demon back to the old dps, or below what it used to be?
