After 2h of testing I get 11-12k dps on dummy.
I get few intresting results.
1. 5/0/31 seems to be best specc.
2. best results between 800-850 haste rating
3. TV avr. crit. 21k max. 33k.

I guess I am a bit confused. I currently have the following self buffed stats:
Haste: 20.10%
Ranged Crit Chance: 59.78%
Hit: 8%(yes I ended up with exactly 8% at the patch)
Based on all the theorycrafting done, I guess I am asking is there anything here I can safely reforge into Mastery for a dps gain?
I guess I should note that I am indeed a typical marks hunter.

Part of the issues is that you may be attempting to ES too often. You should generally wait for a 9 stack of lightning shield before using ES to proc fulmination. Fulmination is very powerful, there were a few times with full raid buffs last night that I was able to do 35-40K damage on a single ES.

Well, firstly, I am only level 72 right now, so there will be some differences because of that. Second, I was testing without totems. And third, I still haven't redone my power auras and some other ui components are getting in the way (UI reconstruction after a major patch is timeconsuming due to the 10+ toons I have to do it for).
So I will have another go at it tonight with a mana totem down and paying closer attention to when I ES. It sounds like it will be fine at 80 even if it isn't so good now so I might as well get used to the rotation

Last night was my first night able to play since the patch, and I was getting more than a little upset with myself and with all these changes. I almost shut off my meters in order to give up trying to be competitive, but instead I stuck through it. What I felt is that they slowed us down way too much. With Holy Light to be our primary spell, and taking 1.7-1.8 seconds with over 1000 haste (normal cast time after the HS crit fast HL had been used, while HS was on CD, but with Judgement haste). I was just getting upset that I couldn't cast fast enough.
I know it will just take some getting reacquainted with the new style of healing, but damn if it wasn't a kick in the nutz...
Our group managed to muddle through the first three wings of ICC 25 Heroic, with the exception of Deathwhisper (several attempts and just way too many issues with many classes), and the entire night was consumed with conversations about these changes ... all the Paladins were upset ... the Feral Druid was livid ... you get the idea.
I can't imagine what this would have been like before Blizz came along last week and gave us a 10% BUFF to all these spells ... really sad. I hope they plan to make it better for us.

What are other people considering for Holy trinkets with stat changes? It looks to me like Purified Lunar Dust jumps dramatically in value, even over Meteorite Crystal.

Sorry for a n00b question
Historically, I played blood dps. With the new patch, I'm switching over to DW frost.
Its unclear to me how much hit is "too much". With reforging, we can push hit up to a pretty ridiculous level. At what point in time should I stop reforging for hit and start on mastery?

I would like to bring a couple of things into discussion:
First one, since we haven't decided yet on the trinks to use, is maybe Death's choice the heroic version a trink to take out of the closet, dust off a bit and bring to it's former glory?
And second, following Elam's guide to reforging , gemming and speccing and using the dps rotation discussed here i bravely entered our regular icc 25 hc tonight and even if i noticed an increased damage done on movement fights ( praise the ghost wolf ) i also noticed a slight decrease in dps on static fights as Saurfang, so i would like to ask- can we oficially say that this patch was mean to the enhancement shaman?

I don't think giving up Int is an option, and I'm very hesitant to give up Crit, as the last HEP reports I ran (very outdated) listed Crit as the second best stat after haste capping (I'm haste capped and 100% i264 gear). Is mana regen really as terrible as I'm reading? Should I be considering reforging.. Spirit? *shudder*
I won't be able to raid until Thursday so I'm just itching to test out healing post-patch.

Primary Stats cannot be reforged. *STR,AGI,SPR, ETC*

I was with 3 / 2 / 31 in ICC today, it works fine, our other ret was with 5 / 0 / 31 there, dont know whats really better.
What about trinkets? TAJ and DBW or TAJ and DV?

Hi!
Ill give my 2 cents.
After wasting most on my money on gems (stupid sigils) glyphs, reforges, respecs, respecs respecs etc this is what i found.
First of all i want to say im a pvp player, but have LOTS of experiene into theory craft etc and yes dps its still important in pvp and knowing how to maximize it crucial too, thats why we all end reading EJ forums heh.
For some reason my tests gave me more DPS as 2H frost, than DW frost (everything was hitting harder, i heard somewhere there was a bug of trheat of tessarian only giving 1/3 of the talents plz confirm this).
2h frost surpases all specs for me for DPS AND pvp.
Sometimes theory is just theory but for me 2h dps is giving me more DPS.
I reforged to mastery.
And this is the main point of my post, after watching how much frost dmg makes this build scale, im wondering if the other runes come close or are better for 2h frost than RotFC.
Anyone test this yet with stacked mastery?

The bug (as far as everyone is concerned) has been fixed. Try DW now, and see what you come up with.

So using Heroic Cryptmaker until I finish SM later this month, I'd be sitting at 3 exp (as a human with exp racial) and 31% haste, hit cap'd and nearly 40% crit, and will subsequently drop my exp down to zero once I finish SM.
Even at such low Exp rating and at the "soft cap" for haste, I don't feel I'm GCD locked at all. But now that I'm at the soft cap, should any excess haste be poured into exp or crit? Considering that exp would move ahead of mastery and join crit in that "middle of the road" stat weight.
Outside of reforging away crit for expertise post-"soft cap", my other solution would be to drop my heroic teir gloves for heroic teir legs and use the gloves off of Festergut heroic in its stead to recoup haste lost from [Scourge Reaver's Legplates] since hit is not a problem (I'm using Heroic LDW neck and already reforging away hit, halion neck hasn't dropped for us yet).
Unless I'm over valuing expertise post-"soft cap" and should just let it fall to zero.
Thoughts?

Hi,
I want to ask the theorycrafters if they've come up with mastery numbers. Since mastery is a new stat, lots of use don't know yet when should we start reforging for mastery and what mininum levels of haste and crit should we get before start reforging mastery. Don't know if you can come up with a number yet 'cause its probably too soon but it's worth a shot asking!
Thanks.
