How many fights does the boss simply stand there and beat on the same tank for 5 minutes? We don't have much Patchwerk or Golemagg these days. Modern fights involve various phases, tank switches, extended casting, etc. Any tank switch or special phase ruins vengeance, simple things like casting a spell and some avoidance streaks seriously hurt it. It ramps up fairly slowly then as well, and this of course means it's not reliable at the most critical time for threat: when you first pick something up.

Either tank threat is balanced around vengeance and all these glaring flaws will cause serious problems or vengeance is pure bonus and we'll just have Festergut type advantages on many fights. Despite what the devs have been saying, at this point I'm thinking the latter situation is more likely.

I'm surprised we're even discussing this here, IMO it's clear, if vengeance is to be a serious scaling mechanic it needs to be more dependable.
tanking switching unless the boss is taunt immune actully helps with threat because you will get infront of everybody else and if there is adds, it even helps more because dps aint going on the boss.

It took me less then 60 tries to get a miss with rake at 5,14% hit, also missed 1 of 15 fury swipes in that time.

I can not see any reason to doubt the well confirmed 8% hit cap.

This is provably false.

Please stop posting misinformation. For Cats, specials and white attacks both miss/dodge/parry exactly as the tooltips in the stats sheet describe.

Whom ever made this spreadsheet has a few things wrong not tryin to bag on this person just tryin to help them out. The thing they are saying in this are wrong because I have tested most of the 4.0.1 dps suggestions on this spreadsheet. For one having RS,SS and eviserate glyphs are better than SS,rapture,and adrline rush I know this because I have tested this out in both raids and on dummies. The rotation Rs then ss till 5cp is better than what this is saying to do, you get the 5cp from 1 RS and then 4 SS's. Rapture does not do as much dps as evisercate I know this because I have tested it changing glyphs with the testing of this to make sure i get accurate readings. Instant/deadly still does more dps then wound/deadlydoes for posions I have also tested this. To sum up what I'm saying this spread sheet for combat needs to be updated because most of the information is false and that is bad cause then people can't do max dps . The parts that are incorrect are the glyphs,posions,and rotation I know these things because I have tested them out my self in both raids and on dummies so I know this information is correct.

So I have been messing a little with my stats on my gear and have match all apropriate gems to thier colors. Blue-Agil-hit, Yellow- Agil-Haste, and Red-Agility. Now with that being said with all my gems matched I then look at my stats to decide what I need to reforge. Now my hit is at 465 (15.12%) being my special im guessing, and Expertise is at 26/26. After that I looked at my Haste being of greater importance than Crit, my Haste is currently at 800 (24.40%). It seemed to do decent DPS on the Heroic Training Dummy rooughly around a steady 8.4K with no procs from Mongoose and my trinket Death's Choice. It seems as though maybe I should drop some Haste and up a little more Mastery which is currently at 241(+5.25%). Also I am still using H Abom, does this seem around the DPS I am pulling wiith my gear. I would list all my gear but that would take a lot of time typing and reading so I will give you my Toon name. Audrea is my rogues name and I play on The Venture Co. If someone would please help my with this answer it would be greatly appreciated.

So ideally we reforge our Crit into Mastery, gem Agi everywhere that's red, Agi/Haste in all the yellow, Agi/Hit in the blues if we need the hit or just ignore the socket and go straight Agi if you don't? It's friday and quite honestly I'm tired of the crit gems in my gear, a definitive answer would be amazing, eventho I know the only response I'll get is another warning.

Ignore it. You'll lose far more damage than you will gain from that proc.

im running 25.5% hit and i am doing a raid right now, i am able to do a full rotation spamming heroic strike and using some slams without being rage starved. imo going hit seems to be the best way to keep a full rotation going for maximum dps and heroic strike spamming. there are a few rare moments where i use heroic strike and slam as much as possible and still manage to get the rage cap, so rage isn't really an issue and we aren't gaining too much to not be able to use it efficiently

Found this guide very useful,

but didn't find anything about Chaos Bane. is it still more useful to use a /cancelaura Chaos Bane bound to all my buttons still? (Since FreeMe/Chaosbanebuffremover are broken/finished).

I personally found my self still procc'ing the Shards extremely quickly, and I would think, with our added need of haste, it would be even better to take the buff off,

Anyone elsee think the same?

This thread could really use a useful OP...having to wade through pages of comments to find bits and pieces of random specs is not exactly what I call a well-run or efficient thread. Most other classes have detailed spec guides by now.
