Well i have been playing around a bit and trying to get things working since the new patch but geez seems we just dont have the heals we once had i understand there needed to be changes but if there is anyone our there that has a spec with rotation thats working please share. I am getting sick of looking and i loved healing on my pally.
I am feeling a little bummed by Blizzard as both my 80's have been gutted.
I don't know if this has been touched on, but I noticed tonight, that if your target dies with combo points still on it [say the oozes on PP] - you can use those combo points to start up/extend SnD even after switching targets - you can't rupture your new target but you can use them to get some more time on your SnD, as long as you haven't attacked the new target yet
edit - It appears you can still use those "dead" combo points to refresh SnD after performing white attacks on the new target as long as you haven't created any new CPs
We killed the first available cata raid boss, Argaloth, today (video). The boss was really easy, but it also highlighted a couple of paladin problems right away.
1. Meteor slash comes every 15 seconds. That means we can only aoe heal every other hit.
2. Beacon is hard to use now that it's 50%. If the tank damage was significant, I would have a hard time deciding when to switch beacon over.
Yeah i noticed your mana and how DP would be good if you didn't have the 50% healing Penalty.
Fight looks like a Brutallus Clone
Thanks for the input .
Its nice to know there is not much, go away from this person etc.
I'm looking forward to Cataclysm but 4.0 at the moment is quite depressing, if i get a beta invite i'll go on there and try it out
Ill probably get banned for asking, but those of us who dont have both the BiS trinks, for me its HDBW and HWFS.
What is the value of say Herkml War Token vs Heroic Whispering Fanged Skull? The haste is obv beneficial but HWFS provides more AP.
BTW Im on a mac and cannot use the sim to judge for myself.
The 'caps' are as unreachable as they were before. You can get GCD capped pretty easily in 277s (crit capped is hard) but the stat priorities remain the same. Just because you occasionally have 0.9 second incinerates doesn't mean you should get hit or mastery, haste is still better.
Just do the math and follow the stat weights.
Untrue. Being GCD locked means haste becomes less valuable if all of your spells are at or below 1.5 seconds cast. Sure you may cast something faster, but the GCD is still going to stop you from casting another spell. That means it is worth forgoing additional haste and getting whatever the next best stat is.
Now... considering our loss of the Spellstone, I doubt we'll get Shadowbolt and non-MC Incinerate below 1.5 seconds until long into Cataclysm. But that doesn't change that technically the above is misinformation. Nonetheless I do agree there's no point wondering what that stat point is. We're not going to get there at 80. And not likely at 85 either.
Has anyone tested reforging mastery as assasination after hitting the spell hit cap?
Doesn't show what reforging was done for some reason but dropped pretty much all my crit into hit or haste depending on if i had haste on it already.
Live numbers run as so
Haste 39.37% 1291 *pre 4.0 I was sitting at around 1k haste.
hit +23.09% 587
expt 27/27 214
What I'm wondering is chasing the white hit cap going to be viable in 4.0? or should I drop it into mastery for the poison increase? This week I think the most I pulled off on saurafang was 15k give or take still not 100% on the rotation. Going to give it one more week then I'll test the reforging to mastery unless I read differently on here .
For fok spamming on trash I used instant aoe dps was 30kish peak.
oh ok so apparently the admins on this site are in fact elitist douche bags. I got a PM from Tehax saying I was wrong about my post. Sadly, this mofo doesn't even know I hold a PhD in mechanical engineering and therefore I am qualified to pwn anything. Furthermore, I'm not wrong and I dare this fool to combat me anytime...(no cliche) anywhere.
I read earlier posts about hot streak and how it seemingly didn't proc that much anymore. Then I read a post about it proccing on 3 critical strikes within 8 seconds or something.
Did they change the talent since the first posts? 'Cause my Hot Streak is: "Instead, your critical strikes with Fireball, Frostfire Bolt, Scorch, Pyroblast or Fire Blast have a chance to cause your next Pyroblast spell cast within 15 sec to be instant cast and cost no mana."
That would mean that hot streak can proc from every single critical strike. That would make Hot Streak proc alot more often than I read in some other posts (Depending on how much crit you got). Before I went Arcane, I had over 60% crit chance in fire. Will crit rating be dramatically reduced so that Hot Streak doesn't proc that much?
Even so, if you pick Improved Hot Streak, you can either get a free Hot Streak if your spells doesn't crit twice in a row, or even get a Hot Streak if you get one non-critical and then a critical.
Also, the FFB glyph improves the damage by 15% and adds a dot too it. That would make the frostfire bolt core damage to 4502, 25. Fireball is 4503. With a dot, won't FBB be better than Fireball anyway?
(Sorry for untidy post, couldn't be bothered to look over it)
Just a quick question Being hit/Exp cap ,close to haste soft cap, im also using 4tier Chest, legs, head, shoulders would the wrathful Hands with the CS 5% increase in damage be an option over fleshrendering ? due to CS being our 2nd highest in our over all damage or would this be a loss in dps
To start, Fill blue sockets with hit+int. After that, reforge your spirit/crit to hit until the hit cap, and reforge the rest to mastery.
Hit (Until 17%) >> Int >> Mastery = Haste = Spellpower >>> Crit
I'm currently specced destro as according to Warloco's suggested specc but I'm confused, very confused tbh. I understand that i need to reforge my gear so that I reach the 17% hitcap. But then what? And what items shall I reforge and what items shall I regem?
And the main reason, why?
Adding my Armory link so you can see what i'm talking about.
