There's no rage generation from Taiaj. As I was saying before the two best trinkets still h dbw and h sts if you can't get that then use h wfs.

Ramaladni's is the much better choice, more stamina, more sockets, higher strike damage. The health proc from Bryntroll is honestly not worth the trouble, tanks don't stack haste from gear and talents so you have significantly less procs then a dps would. It is even worse now considering reforging since you are giving up mastery rating as well. Ramaladni's also has expertise which is one of the best tank threat stats.

Reforge to 8% hit>172 expertise rating>mastery from dodge, parry, and extra hit. I'm wondering whether dodge or parry is worth more, it would make sense to me that parry would be worth more then dodge because of the DRW tool tip, but that is just speculation on my part.

I was testing destruction today and noticed that the imp´s GCD starts after the cast is finished unlike our (player) GCD that starts when we start casting. I noticed the same on my frostmage and the elemental. Can anyone confirm this?

I need some help with a few macros. Basically I want to make a modifier using one of my mouse buttons as the mod to either cast rake normally or rip with the modifier, if its possible. I also want to do the same with SR and Shred with SR as the mod.

edit: Its button 4 on the mouse

I've tried searching with no prevail... Any thoughts around DPS Professions? I'm currently BS/JC, but I'm hearing reports that Eng might become viable.

Any thoughts or data?

I'm personally eng/jc most warriors are bs/jc. Its up to you
However this late in expansion, I don't feel changing professions is worth it.

These are some of the idea's for PoM that have come up on the European WoW Forums which I've gathered together and edited to include the suggested revisions.

PoM+AM Turns AM into a volley hitting multiple targets at once.

PoM+X Spell, Gives 100% pushback protection and/or lets that spell be cast while moving

PoM+FFO Turns FFO into an Arcane Vortex dealing pulsing arcane damage instead of usual and/or Slow on Targets

PoM+RoF Turns RoF into an Arcane Portal spell granting all allies people within the target area 10s invisibility. Alternative all enemies within the effected area to be temporally sent to an adjacent plane when there are unable to move and suffer x damage/s for 5s.

Presence of Mind:
Gives you a buff which allows you to enter a destructive or preservative state. Casting Arcane Missiles after activation, will grant you the offensive state. Arcane Missiles can now benefit from Arcane Blast stacks, but cost 25% of your base mana to cast. Also, Arcane Blast has it's cast time reduced by 30% and generates 2 stacks per cast, instead of 1. The effect lasts for 30sec, until you cast 4 ABs or when Arcane Barrage is cast.
Casting Arcane Barrage, causes you to enter a preservative state, which causes your Arcane Barrage to return 2% of total mana upon cast. Lasts 15sec, or until 3 Arcane Barrages are cast.

There have also been many idea's in many threads for how spells could interact with AB stacks maybe I should gather them up too. I really like the idea of this kind of interaction mechanism whether it would be done via PoM, AB stacks or via any other way.
My worry that is as with other idea's Mages have floated around the devs will like it too but will give it to another class instead (/sigh, Mage Ward (aka Prismatic Ward) but now known as Nether Ward while Mages have the watered down version). TBF as these interactions share a similar feel in many ways to SB mechanic I guess maybe in this case we stole from them.

If you go back a couple pages and look at the expertise tests, melee crit chance is lower than it says on the character sheet. Is there a reason for this?

(Should i be asking this question here?)

I am sorry for posting this if it already has been debated, however, here goes:

During the last couple of raids I have experienced some quite annoying bugs with fire e.g. being unable to cast a Pyroblast while having Hotsreak, being unable to cast Scorch sometimes despite having the Firestarter talent, but it does work if you start casting Scorch before moving.
Living Bomb does a few times randomly disapear if I'm playing along with another fire mage (tracking Living Bomb with two addons Forte and Mage Nuggets).

And finally what annoys me the most - From the last couple of raids in ICC and Ruby I noticed that it would seem as only of the mages combustion gets a "full" effect. From the phrases on Halion yesterday it was quite noticable since only one of us "peaked" damage with combustion while doing almost compleltly the same - ofc. amount of DoTs on target may have affected the outcome, but the jump between us was just immense from one doing 4-500k dmg to adds in the first wave to the other barely pusing 50kish.

So my question is - Is there any information about those bugs or am I the only one who is experincing it.

Great , yes I meant Spell Hit Cap , not white damage. Thanks, let's hope for some buff to Mastery value for Combat which could make it an attractive stat to regorge into.

Great guide, I personally love my frost death knight and even with some inferior gear, seeing trash DPS go through the roof in ICC is awesome. Can't say I am enjoying the clunky style of my paladin right now compared to the ease and fun of my DK and I will continue to play frost from here on out purely based on the fact that it's fun. Thank you for the awesome guide, I will be keeping an eye on it in the coming weeks and months if things change.

Questions about new specs

I haven't had a chance to read through all the posts here yet, and I have a couple questions...
  1. I've been trying to decide between MM and SV specs. For the longest time, I've been specced SV. In 4.0.1, it appears this is focused more on traps. I used my dual spec to try both out and it appears that for raw DPS, MM appears to be quite a bit better. What does everyone else think?
  2. Having dual spec, I've been wanting to keep one of them for BM. I'm wondering if BM is a viable spec in 4.0.1. Is it worth having exotic pets for the lack of special shots, like explosive shot or chimera shot?
  3. Also, does anyone know why Volley was removed? From a shot perspective, it was the only AoE shot we had. Now it seems that traps are our only AoE abilities. Personally, I've never been much of a trap user. (I know that's not a good thing.)

Well, first of all I highly recommend you to use time and read what has been said here... I know it is a lot to read but, what you are asking it is quite give it done to me.

Atm, MM is doing the most dmg output(On bosses) doing trash you will find that Surv is great... I'm a bit experimenting with BM on fights where a lot of movement is involve.

This is what femaledwarf says about me:

Surv 12285.92
BM 11791.15

Now for more info just use time and read... I actually have a few post in this forum bcoz these amazing guys answer every single doubt I could have without the need to ask.
