With 4.0.1 released my old UI was doomed worthless. Used the same UI for 2 years until now.
Decided that it was time for a change, spended multiple hours and days looking for new addons and changing codes in a few addons to make it fit my personal likings!
Not only did i spend allot of time doing this UI but my ingame fps improved by loads. totally worth it!
With recount reseted im running at 8.80 to 9.40mb of addon usage depending on if the rng launcher likes me or not.
I hardly ever post here but I feel strongly about chakra. I like the concept of chakra more than the practice of it. As it stands right now in beta you can swap between being an AoE healer or a single target healer. It sounds great but why even have this mechanic? You have to use it to compete with other healers and it just feels like an unnecessary hurdle you have to use to heal. No other healer has to do this. The AoE healing state doesn't even do anything that interesting it just lowers the CD on spells that had their CD raised from 3.0.
Its not that hard to keep track of or complicated or anything but I just can't see a reason to have it in its present incarnation. Why not just have our spells be better all the time? They aren't going to balance priest healing around not using it since you're supposed to have it. Its not like other classes have to make this choice. I feel like if we are forced to make a choice between aoe or tank healing chakra should do something for us that is interesting and helpful in certain situations. I'm not saying I know how it should work but right now its just not fun.
Also so you know where I'm coming from I've been in top guilds for 2-3 years and raided everything while it was current other than original naxx. I've killed heroic LK and raided 10/25s in the beta. These statements come from experience and not just what you can read in patch notes. I do also agree blanketing renew or sheilds had to go. I like the new healing system but chakra just doesn't feel that fun.
Here is a log from Blood princes HC 10 man last night and think my mute damage is too low , as you can see on all my fights rupture is only accounting to 3-4% of my dmg and im not missing a cycle either weird
Alright I got a fairly simple question I bet has been answered already in this topic, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
As a Beast Mastery Hunter, should I reforge mastery at all?
The mastery bonus of Beast Mastery Hunters seems absolutely amazing, but I'm not sure if I should get rid of my crit or haste rating for it since both those stats increase my focus regeneration. I've done some small scale testing but I'm not getting any usable results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Black Arrow base damage reduced by 35%, from 3685 to 2396.
Explosive Shot now scales from 27.3% of Ranged Attack Power, down from 42%. Additional base damage reduced by 35%, from 697 to 454.
Go guess what they are thinking. These shots were just buffed a week ago.
On the other hand however it seems to me (lucky beta guy) that hunters were doing fine with the previous changes.
Maybe it's just number tweaking to see where to put the bar. Or still they don't have a clue.
What do you think?
P.S: After doing a very quick test, my dps on dummies has gone from 17K to 15K, which is really plausible.
We don't have definite information on what stats are best, but BM has a lot of focus regen built in, and our main nuke, Kill Command, is counted as pet damage, and should be increased by mastery (and was last I checked, I currently have crashes whenever I try to log a hunter on the beta - and don't have enough gold to spend testing on live). That ioncreases mastery value for BM a whole lot, but it has a nice synergy with haste and crit. At level 80, I would reforge haste or crit (the higher number) to mastery because we have no other mastery. At 85 I currently think its limited how much reforging will be done to mastery because the gear has mastery already and we have much lower crit and haste percentages.
After playing years of the mage thinking to change to mellee. DK seems to be interesting choice, but not sure about race to choose. What would you recommend me as a Horde race for a pvp oriented DK?
Very clear answer, thank you. I was afraid there would be no definite answer yet. That did clear up quite a bit for me either way.
I'm going to try and reforge (almost) everything into mastery and see how well it works out tonight at my group's Bane of the Fallen King achievement run. I will post back here with my results if people are interested.
...now I need to pray I will be better off, or else the rest of the group is going to kill me.
Can someone tell me what happened to the EJ priest forums? I was away for awhile and recently started reading them again. In the WOTLK beta, they used to be filled with insightful, excited people discussing the priest class. Now the priest forums are lucky to get a few disinterested posts a day. Did I miss something?
I found this thread and assumed this was general discussion for Protection Paladins. I've been a tank since roughly TotC released, and I'm just looking for a couple of pointers for 4.0.1. Prepatch, I was a dps tank (Good bit of my talents in ret. I don't remember the exact spec because I'm tired as hell, and stitting at school.) As OT, I would often pull threat from MT. Since the patch, my overall threat has dropped quite a bit, and I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers on my spec/glyphs, and even gear, as to fix this. Tanking Sindragosa in the phase where she's grounded and freezes random members of the raid (don't remember if it's 2 or 3) is kind of difficult, as our hunter-heavy raid group seems to out-threat me regularly. Thank god for Hand of Reckoning.
You can armory me, I'm the only Jolyle. Can't get my armory link because our damn school system has gone balls to the wall on their proxy.
