Would it be correct to assume that something similar to the old rogue compilation thread is going to be put together after cataclysm is released and proper theorycrafting has been established? I recently decided to get back to WoW and my rogue and also realized that whatever I knew about rogue playstyle is somewhat old at this point.
Excuse my noobish question, but being completly confused about our rotation...why is RIME even listed, it is a proc not a cool down am i supose to "wait on it" or just hope it procs at the apropriate time?
I HAVE TRIED TO FIND THE MOST APPROPRIATE PLACE TO COMMUNICAT WITH BUT THIS IS THE BEST I HAVE FOUND.
I DID AN OPTIMIZE WITH ADDITIONAL SWITCHES THROWN. THE NUMBER FOR HAVING "TALENT" AND "TALENT SPECS" BOTH ON IS TWICE THE VALUE OF AN UNENHANCED RUN (NO ADDITIONAL OPTIONS USED).
i CANNOT find any where how to find the talent info optimization choices made by RAWR. Can you please help me to understand how to take advantage of talent suggestions as easily as gem and enchant suggestions?
The buff is called Enrage. Although I'm not a Power Aura user myself, I think there is more than one Spell ID for Enrage, for different classes/talents etc, so maybe you have to factor that in, though I could be wrong.
For an accurate number you would need the SP scale factors for each caster in your raid. In lieu of that, a very rough estimate could be done using some warlock scale factors (these are Level 80 with BiS gear from the SimC OP).
Destro would have either 10% buff or 6% buff, the difference being 4% so:
(0.04)*(3.1634) = 0.1265 dps/SP gained or lost
Demo would have either 10% buff or would switch to Destro with 6% buff so:
Demo (1.1)*(2.5606) = 2.8167 dps/SP
Destro (1.06)*(3.1634) = 3.3532 dps/SP
So if you run as Demo you lose 0.5365 dps/SP while each Destro lock in the party gains 0.1265 dps/SP.
(0.5365 / 0.1265) = 4.2 ====> 5
So it would take 5 Destro locks *in addition* to the Demo lock to come out ahead in raid DPS.
