The gemming requirement on [ZZOLD Design: Chaotic Skyflare Diamond] has been changed to more blue than red gems,
how should i gem to accommodate this or should i pick a new meta
currently i have [Reckless Ametrine] in yellow slots [Design: Brilliant Cardinal Ruby] in red slots and [Design: Veiled Dreadstone] in blue slots
Im mainly fire but have arcane os
Any help would be much appreciated

i recently server xfered, name is still magulas but im on eredar now as a gnome

Since the metas have now been changed what meta is everyone looking at for pve? [Thundering Skyflare Diamond] Chance to Increase Melee/Ranged Attack Speed. Anyone have solid info on uptime and internal cd?

Anyone have an idea as to why they affected the meta like this? Kind of a big deal for all physical dps classes.

I've been watching during my raid tonight and it appears thundering does not share a cd with DBW or eng haste proc.

Hi fellas -- Due to the removal of requirements for Arena items (or most of) I am wondering if, as a frost DK, I should go with the 1h Gladiator weapons over my current 264 Blood Venom Blades? The difference being I would swap Agility for AP, and hit* for Resilience.

* I am well and truly over the hit cap, sitting at somewhere around 12%

There was a blue post that I read earlier stating that they would indeed be changing the requirements on meta gems for DPS classes back to their normal standards instead of the blue over red combo that is in place now. Although he mentioned that its not something that can be hotfixed so instead would be updated on a patch.

The current design has been reconsidered, so we're planning to revert gems that now require more blue than red gems back to their original requirements. Such a change can't be accomplished via a hotfix though, so we'll have to wait to revert these in a future patch.

Looks like that's settled, then.

I've read both frost dps threads and unholy dps threads but I can't really figure out which spec is the best spec to maximize your dps theoretically. Is it depending on the gear you can get your hands on or is there one spec that is superior to the others? I am an orc so I would figure that 2h unholy would be the best for me to optimize my dps?

Consider, I know you know too much to be wrong, but I sure as hell wish you were.

Unholy should be the 2H spec, period. That and having D&D work better than SS is just about making me want to leave the game, seriously. At least they are going to fix the stupid meta "more blue than red" idiocy, but having DW be best for UH and D&D > SS is just absurd.

Blizz needs to fix this before Cata launch. I am just stunned right now with how stupid they are.

Regards of all the changes, im assuming the stat priority is still:
Hit to cap
Crit to 33.3%
Mastery
Crit
Haste?

Or has something changed to change the priority too?
