It is not an across the board statement that HotR is better than CJ. It is a quirk of the extra spell hit when you are also low on melee hit. At 8% hit, you won't see this.

Looking through the available loot come cata, it doesn't look like raid loot and heroic blues have too much of a stat difference. With hit being as valuable as it is, will it be worth using heroic gear to reach hit cap? I put a set together and with enchants you would only need a few gems at most to be hit capped, 24% + precision. The difference in the amount of hit between using purely raid drops and raid drops + heroic drops is quite a lot.

i realize that this is probably a dumb question but what about meta gems? with the change to the requirements for both relentless earthsiege and chaotic skyflare it kinda really sucks to activate them if you're already white hit capped from gear. should we even bother going for more blue than red gems to meet it? or will the stat loss be too much to be worth the 3% crit dmg?

The drain life spell is technically an applied DoT shadow damage spell, does it benefit from the affliction warlock mastery?

I was wondering if someone found out about racial troll giving energy regen or not. If it does, 20% haste during 10 sec every 180 sec is slightly higher than 1% haste all the time of the gob (in terms of pure dps off course). But if there's no energy regen given by troll racial, theni would say goblins are best suited for pve.
Anyone has info about it?

As far as i know, it is just increasing your attack speed, not your haste, which leaves you with no additional energy regeneration.

This is the place to come for the math of the game so maybe someone can figure out at least the logic behind my question.

Before cata without our ability to crit, with less gear i might add, my insectswarm was doing about 1200k ticks give or take. Now after our update and the new glyph for insectswarm, my insectswarm will tick for 1100s and crit for 2800s. Now is this due to the need for the eclipse to be on the side of solar? Forgive me, been a long time since i have been in school.

All that i know is insectswarm must have been nerfed 2x.

First i was doing up to 7k crit ticks.
2nd i was ding 4.4k crit ticks
3rd and up to date its critting for 2800s
