hey guys, sorry I didnt played beta but I would like to know a few things.

Do AoE still play an important role in terms of trash and boss?

Is LB,pyro,ignite then impact so spread good enough?

Do people still use flamestrike/blizzard when it comes down to aoe, i was told they were very mana consuming.

This question bring you back to question 1. Fire has a fair amount of AOE orientated talents. This serve only to restrict the choices you have for other talents such as Mana Efficiency/Utility talents. Why dedicate so much AoE talents into fire tree when blizzard is moving away from aoeing every single pack?

Ah, I totally didn't even notice the unique aspect. That changes some things for sure. With that information, netherweave bags may be worth a lot more.

I going to try to get hit capped asap, obviously agility would be next, looking into mastery next? haste wasnt that important end game tbc, haste the least important

Hi all, i was wondering if with the last patch herbalism has become a better profession then tailoring (for pve btw,demo spec ,so haste>sp), i ask this because i have alchemy/tailoring,afaik the haste buff scales with max hp?(its a bug?), and if i was going to exp first my lock in cata, i wanted to skill alchemy while exping, tnx for any useful reply

I'm a Restoration Druid (Formerly Feral) who has never seriously played Moonkin before.

Skip down to the bottom if you don't want to read my rambling

Cataclysm has presented me with a problem as I would like to be able to use my questing gear to start healing 5 mans before heading to raids at level 85. This means I cannot level as feral despite being certain that it would be quicker (I do have hopes that I might be able to get server first).

As a result, I'm leveling as Moonkin. In order to get myself into the 'groove' I've done a few ICC10 raids as Moonkin (in my healing gear, 55% hit rating so not ideally itemised!). Now, practising on these bosses is all fine and dandy and I did pretty well considering it was my first time raiding as an owl. However, after seeing how long the Moonkin rotation takes to 'wind up', as I like to say, I was concerned with the spec's ability to efficiently plow through quest mobs.

Fast forward a day and I found myself finishing off some quests in Icecrown in order to get a feel for questing as Boomkin. Here is where I bumped into a question that I've been struggling to answer myself so was wondering if anyone could provide any insight.

Question

In Cataclysm leveling, what do you think will be more efficient when questing in terms of speed?

Sitting in Solar Eclipse and spamming Sunfire with Starfall on cooldown? (think lunar shower + BotG) or attempting to follow a more standard rotation?

Since I haven't had the opportunity to play in the beta I'm unable to come to any solid conclusions.

Couple of question if a Prot warrior could please answer for an ex-healer.

Shield block: Should this be used on CD to help with rage gen and generally lowering incoming? or saved as a sort of mini CD for different things say when a healer gets bone spiked or feared etc.

Would someone be able to link me to somewhere I can get a few Macros, Namely:

Bezerker > Intercept > Defensive all in one button and

If enemy, charge, If friendly, Intervene?

If there is just a site for macros and someone could link me to them, that would be beautiful. Thanks all!

i'm not sure if this is completely accurate. 1 STR = 2 AP, this does not scale. you can look at your armory, multiply 2400 by 2, and see that it is giving you roughly 4800 attack power (4780 to be exact). if this is true, 1 STR = 2 AP and 1 AP = .5 STR

156.25 * .5 = 78.125

i'm not saying that blood fury gives you 78.125 strength, but 78.125 strength is the equivalent of 156.25 attack power.

then again i don't play death knight, i play rogue. i may still be mistaken but the numbers don't lie. i'm just wondering about the future minmaxing of my guild's starting dk.
