It's very hard to find an accurate answer on DK's questions. Maybe because the class is new (not too much now ...).
I was 00/32/39 on 3.0.9 and now I can't find a way to maximize my dps with a solid build.
With that spec I was the top dpser of my guild (it is my role and I want to do it in the best way my class can do)... yesterday I was 4° or 5° under paladin, warlock and shaman... :|
I used unholy 00/10/61 and 12/00/59, used the correct rotations posted, but the dps of both didn't satisfy me.
I pass lot of time reading and mumbling on all the spec posted in unholy/blood/frost/dw topics, but it is really hard to find an answer or the time to try everything... And like I sayd above the right answer is still not known.
Personally I envy the "esay-build" paladins can use to maximaze their damage. There is only one build and only one rotation to do the "damage dealer job" at the top, after that, you have only to consider your gear and your latency/attention/skill in game.
I hope one day there will be an answer for DKs too.

idd, that's what I thought aswell when I saw the nerf. On the other hand, I'm enjoying the meta spec atm tho. peaking at 8-9k during heroisms is fun. The 0/41/30 spec is still a solid performer and easy to play aswell.

How about using the Glyphe "Disease" ?? Gives you 1 more DS per Rotation.
Nobody trying that out?
As far as I have tested, DRW really seems a bit odd... I don't know if it is a real good idea to take it.

I really don't like the Felguard.. and I don't like "easy to play" either.. reverting to 1 button shadowbolt spam is not my idea of fun. Guess I'm going back to affliction as it competes better than decimate/conflag now. 100g for respec and reglyh please Blizzard? Right, didn't think so, thanks for nothing.

i got a 10 man naxx weapon (kt's reach)
as my MH atm
but i have angry dread waiting in my bank which does more DPS
u think i should switch to angry dread instead before i drop a better fist or sword?
or should i just keep my KT's reach?
also killing spree glyph.. will that really improve my dps that much?
or should i just keep my SnD?
im 4/5 t7.5 VALOURUS with chestguard of the recluse as my chest
should i wait unti ive collected about 3 t8's before i switch the gears?
and lastly .. why is +agi gems the obvious choice once u have t8? i dont understand the logic behind it

conflag nerf from 100% to 70%
i am currently 0/40/31 with modified changes to the spec u posted i am at 2302 sp 28% crit with no talents .. 518 haste without Master spellstone.. hit is at 368 no points in supression there was a hot fix to conflagerate dropping it from 100% to 70% because blizz said they made locks the ultimate powerhouse with that much damage from conflag i mean yes it was over powered doing 18 k crits but what about mages using their frostfire bolts critting for 20 k i mean wow we went from being 3k - 3500 k dps to 5800 dps thats a big gain but we needed the increase due to last patch we got hammered so my question is this since they did a hot fix on conflagerate and its only critting for upwards of 8-11 k is 0/40/31 worth speccing or is the full destro with conflag backdraft the way to go from the backdraft talent giving u 3 destruction spells at 0.95 sec per cast i havent did the math on it yer maybe someone can assist is seeing if the full destro spec does more damage then decimate and conflag spec due to the nerf " after the rolling restarts today on elune conflags dont even do 8 k highest one i critted was 5800 "

So, here's my question. I can understand the concept of running the nice figures that each talent and spell gives us in the Simulation, but how can you measure talents like "Improved Drain Soul" (Aggro reduction) or "Grim Reach" (More range for spells)? Sure, when fighting Patch and everything is standing at place, those talents are useless, but how many fights are there like Patch? We have really good tanks in the guild, and yet in fights like Heigen, where tank needs to dance while I nuke from far, or fights like Sapphiron/Maly, where I can still nuke while the dragons are airborn/Vortexing and the tank can't make aggro, then those 2 talents become highly important imo... There is not even 1 single boss fight, where I can nuke from start to end without needing to use Soul Shatter or ask for BoS from a pally, and in most fights I need to move around, whether it's to chase the boss, or move from certain zones. In all those fights, aggro reduction and more range for my spells can contribute much more to my overall dmg, then the 2 points in "Demonic Power" that the winning spec of 53/0/18 is suggesting...
So sure, I'll do less DPS on Patch or a dummy, but in the majority of the boss fights, I'll do hell of a lot more dmg then the other locks, who hold back cause of aggro problems or cause of range issues (and again, those are just 2 examples that doesn't come into consideration in this Simulation).

I actually transferd so the armory name is isenhiemer. I use Scorchio2 and parrot for timers and to let me knwo when HS procs. Normally when those are up im spamming my FFb button , or if i have to refresh LB of scorch, of course now with the glyph i only need to cast 1 scorch. but other then that im usually spamming the button im going to do next and cast Pyro when it procs before i cast LB.

Sullen Cloth Boots i do have those but it takes away my blue gem for my meta.

Edit : after tests, incinerate appears to be better, but, i don't understand... why?

I know most of this thread has focused around 40/31 and building the fire/crit for the destro tree.
I have a somewhat different question - how well would a 42/29/0 build work? Including UA/Pandemic + 300% Firestone + 4 ranks of MD (obviously with Succy out).
This would provide +4% spell damage/+4% crit and the bonuses from the firestone to crit - how much would these improve the damage of UA/Corr versus just going deeper in Aff (Death's Embrace/Everlasting Aff) - or would this be a net loss?
Now that several of the DoT spells can crit does +crit gear begin to overtake +SP or not?

using this macro combo to do the main rotation. Arcane seems to fire right on time, (closer than I would do hand-weaving) and serpsting seems to regfresh right on time.

I still feel 40-31 is top spec. Although simcraft stated otherwise I am still able to pull much better dps than affliction and the felgaurd hybrid spec that sim states is top besides aff with a DG. Even with the conflag nerf I still have an average conflag hit for 20k over 6 hours of raiding last night, and was easily able to keep myself at the top of the meters with the rogues and one of our hunters.

With the mutilate build, would 51/18/2 be a better choice over 51/13/7? You'd be dropping relentless strikes, add 2 points into CqC and the last three into LR.

Hey, just a few quick questions i'm hoping somebody can answer
1. for the standard PVE MUT build is SR/SR better or SR/WD? heard mixed results and i can't seem to find a reason why WD would be since they changed PPM poison system
2. just curios on how the new PPM poison system works, my understanding of it now is that they normalized poisons based on 1.4weapon speed so for WP 1.4 Speed - 50.00% while 1.8 Speed - 64.29%, is there any truth to that at all? also is there now a limited amount of proc's per minute and if so do both weapons share the same amount or is it individual
3. also is there any user friendly spreadsheet or "rawr" like program available for rogues?
