Out of the 3.0.8. best Raid dps thread, I think it should be noted here as well, as I don`t read every other thread in the forum, I guess others don`tb do as well..

My thoughts:

21/50/0 4pc T7(,5).
OB OB IT BS dump - OB OB BS IT dump, without any lag/reaction, gives you about 5 fs to fit in perfectly. It genereates 208 RP (with IT glyph).
Going for UP, it will give you 218 RP instead of simply 208 (adding in HoW), meaning that you can push out 1, 75 more FSs per rotation as well as 0,3 HB uses due to rime (15% on 2 ITs per rotation, means 1 procc every 66,6 secs). Auto attacks will do "roughly" the same damage, I won`t look at them now. So you got 15% of 5 FSs, 4 OBs, 2BSs and 2 ITs compared to 1,5 FSs and 0,3 HBs. This should most clearly be won by the BP.

The main problem now is lag, when you use BP, you got a total of 0,5 seconds of time for lag/reaction, every 20 seconds, which is of course too less. Considering you got a GC of 1,6 Seconds is much more likely, thus giving you 13*0,1 seconds of loss, meaning you lose 0,8 seconds per rotation, if you simply keep following it. That would be a los of 4% of damage, meaning BP just dropped to 11% (oh and you lose a bit more, but keep it simple now ) . So you roughly lose 4% of damage per 0,1 second of delay on a cast. As we can see, the more time you lose on your styles the superipr UP get`s and it get`s better very fast, as you still got your 1,75 FSs, 0,3 HB, free HoW refresh and maybe other stuff like getting a mate to be a cool ghoul or the like.


Things to consider as well:
- Ghoul glyph, instead of IT glyph, as you got enough RP, when using BP
- Movement problems other things that let you abort/pause rotation, both will most likely benefit UP
- huge lag - when you got a gc of 5 seconds and you shouldn`t wipe, BP is the way to go


Overall it`s a great question if UP beats BP, but it will depend on lag and reaction time a lot, as they aren`t that much away from each another.

BM hunter here considering a switch to MM after the 3.0.8 patch. I'm considering a build like this Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft and have a couple questions.

1. What exactly is the optimal shot rotation for MM and can it be partially macroed or is it necessarily 100% weaved? I understand that hunters can no longer obtain optimal dps by simply smashing one macro, but with so many shots compared to a BM rot, I was hoping some of them could be macroed, while I manually weave the rest.

2. Also what are the preferred glyphs for a MM hunter? I was looking at steady, serpent and AotH.

I have a favor to ask. For reasons I do not know, I cannot get the spreasheet to work on my laptop with openoffice reader. I have 25 valors to spend and I am still rocking the following:

hemorrhagging ring (other is strong handed)
Icy Strikers Cloak

I have 5/5 t7.5 and I am 15/51/5 usually (right now I am 18/51/2).

Which upgrade seems clear for the 25 valors, the Invincibility ring or the Hammerhead sharkskin cloak?

I was in the same situation. The macro was of no use to me at all. I would only get normal damage ABarr hits. (could be the fact i play at <250ms?). People with better ping might have better results with the macro.

So i'm casting ABarr manually. I can pretty much get 95% chance of it working for my ABarr now. Even if the macro did work for me, I'd still not use it.

I use Quartz cast bar. And for it to show the latency.

So what i do.

AB x3, AM, as my AM spell channels, as soon as the cast bar gets about half way in the red latency bar, i spam ABarr. Then back to AB x 3, etc. repeat. It's pretty easy with a little bit of practice. Have to be careful not to ABarr to early or you will miss the 5th AM.

Hello guys, I'd like to ask you if you are still using molten armor or you've changed to mage armor? Seems to me that with molten armor im running oom really really fast and im about 20-30% of the fight trying to spam my skills to get another cast off. Should I just use mage armor and change the molten armor glyph to a mana gem one?

One more thing, I dont have much pieces with +haste. should I start regemming for haste (instead of potent) and replace some pieces? I dont really know how can I tell the stats' value. I've tried to do so with Rawr but it only shows improvent for my gear (which im not sure they even are), guess im doing something wrong here as well.

I apologize if someone's already asked / posted about this, but is there an addon that tells you when Slam! procs? I have a blood DK and an enh shaman in raids, so the unleashed rage / abomination's might buff spam is getting in the way of me noticing it

Is WD/SR still the daggers of choice for Assassination, or did the change to off-hand poison procs make WD/WD superior?
