Dumb question, but I'm just returning to WoW from a long absence. What is the Primary Tanking Seal now adays? You don't mention it in your Guide.

Hi, first time playing a shaman in a max level setting. Most of this is double checking to make sure I got it right:
Should I be looking for a MH with Spell Power on it? [I'm on a mac and cant get EnhSim and Rawr isn't updated yet]
Does Weapon speed on the OH matter?
What kind of enchant should I be looking for on the Main Hand: Caster or Melee? I'm assuming some type of melee enchant, but I was unsure because of using a +SP MH.

For Destruction, I must ask... to Corruption or not to Corruption?
It's looking like a DPS increase but I'm wondering by how much? Speccing into imp corruption and all. Anyone got any info on this?

Having major mana issues on basically every heroic dungeon. And with the Molten Fury talent, I assume that I would pretty much be spamming Fireball when the boss hits 35% and less. The ideal situation should obviously be that my mana hits 0 when the boss dies. This would pretty much means, that for 65%, i would be only using Scorch. This cannot be how to play a mage, due to my lack of dps, compared to other equal geared dps.
Any tips on what to do, other than socket spirit?

Socketing spirit no longer does anything for the mage. Spirit is now a purely for the healing classes.
Posted above:
The new technique Fire mages employ is Scorch Weaving, whilst using Molten Armor, in conjunction with the Improved Scorch talent. Scorch Weaving refers to casting Scorch frequently in your rotation with Fireball. Scorch is free to cast. Think of Fireball as a high damage, yet unsustainable nuke. Scorch is a lower damage, yet infinetely sustainable nuke. If you get Scorch Weaving balance right - you'll make your mana last a long time and avoid going OOM - and still be able to deliver competitive DPS. If you get the balance wrong, by casting too many Fireballs, you'll go OOM too early - and need to cast excessive Scorches afterwards while you regain mana, reducing DPS.
Remember that leftover mana at the end of an encounter is effectively wasted DPS. Like an Arcane mage, you want to try to manage your mana (with Fireball as your burn throttle) to run out just as an encounter ends.
There are two other ways you can attempt to approach mana at 85. Neither of these are optimal from a DPS standpoint, but we'll note them here for the sake of thoroughness:
1 - Don't use Fireball at all. Only cast Scorch in rotation. Despite sounding like a ridiculous thing to do, it could actually provide up to ~90% of the DPS your normal Fireball/Scorch rotation would ordinarily deliver. Surprised at how strong it is? The big reason is Hot Streak: Scorch is a fast casting spell, and casting it more often means you get many more opportunities for Hot Streak Procs. Those Pyroblasts are big DPS. Ultimately, attempting this style of play will be a DPS loss, even if not quite as big as you might initially suspect.
Thus, find the balance that works for you. Maybe it will be one fireball, one scorch, maybe more, or possibly less as your gear gets better. Possibly you are missing procs or casts and causing yourself more mana, re-learn the fire mage through practice and time management. There will be many of us that will go OOM while learning new fights since we, quite frankly, won't know what it is that we are doing.

Do that for each slot. Once your done, you just use a reforging optimizer (I'm sure a decent one will be available soon; if not, you can do it by hand), to then finish it off.
There are a few rare exceptions to this rule, of course: if you end up with so much hit (or expertise) that you can't reforge all of it off, working around set bonuses, the occasional times when a tanking piece is worth it, and so on. But, by and large, it's very simple to figure out.
I'll continue to provide them, don't get me wrong, but even the most DK-ignorant or math-inept person out there could figure it out... provided they simply knew the ranking of stats (X > Y > Z), which you could likely deduce even without the simulator.

Ok fine I can see where you're coming from but this is an early content cataclysm thread. Theres a lot of folk out there who need to see the blues that work for their spec to make the connection, I think you're dragging the potential of your thread down by removing the pre heroic and pre raid lists. Really, what harm could you have done by leaving them in?

So I guess you ask how to gear you Enhancer Shaman then, since you point out that you can't use EnhSim.
I would suggest to you to stick to a normal, slow AGI Weapon.
I picked a slow caster Mace today and wen't FT/FT with an "all in Mastery" Built - but it wasn't all that impressing, about ~900 dps behind my normal Set with 2x 346 AGI Weapons (WF/FT)
If you want to try dual FT it might be worth trying to use a fast caster dagger on that - probably also downgrade one Rank on a weapon (don't know if that's still an issue).

I also got this Trinket today: Unheeded Warning - Item - World of Warcraft and i'm very unsure about it.
The only post on Wowhead says it has a 10% procchance and 20% uptime.
I checked my Damage today with 18 points in mastery and my autoattacks make 19% of my total dmg.
What is your oppinion - take it or pass it on to a rogue or cat?

What's the threshold for socketing for bonuses? I'm guessing 20 crit is sort of useless but what about 20/30 agi?

I don't know if this is the correct thread for this but can someone please tell me, as of now, what is the best pure DPS build for a mage. Is it arc, fire or forst and also, what would the stat prioritization be for that build and what should i reforge etc. Thanks in advance.

Since the Gnome racial nerf to 5% mana rather than Intellect, would it be better to race change to Worgen for the 1% crit?
I'd like to hear peoples opinions for all specs, but specifically Fire since it seems likely that's what I'll be raiding as.
Perhaps some Hordies would like to know what their most optimal race would be too?

Can someone check this for me?
Everywhere I read, it says that the troll racial Beserking does not act as a true Haste effect. Specifically, it is not supposed to speed up energy regen. I recently started up a Troll Rogue, however, and I have noticed a visible energy generation boost while within the effect. I have no hard numbers, but it was distinct and noticeable every time I tried it. Is this a bug, or just something for lowbies? Or is it still going to be active at 85, and thus making that cooldown much more powerful?
