Help with gem/chant/stat

Hi guys I am just wondering what are the most important stats for a shadow priest as of now. Also what gems would I need to socket. Haste>mastery>crit? Also with the new shadow buff, should I just keep the buff up , or get three orbs and cast Mindblast?

I would say Gnome (+3 exp) for alliance and troll (haste buff) for horde but Orc AP buff is very close

you wrote that in DW 1 point Hit is worth 1,64.
This is till you have the 8% Hit Cap, isnt it?

Do you have a stat for Hit after the Hit cap?

And, do you also have Stats for Waapon DMG, DPS, Speed?

Couple questions

I have a couple questions about rotations and stats. First of all...if I was going into a boss fight I start with:

ToT->Garrote->Muti->SnD->Vendetta->Muti to 5->Rupture->Muti to 4 or 5->CB->Envenom

I will vanish and garrote once garrote falls off as well.

From this point, I continually mutilate for 4 or 5 combo points and envenom and only re-apply rupture at 5 combo points. Sometimes I only have 4 and I dont want a single second being wasted without rupture so I throw a 4 point up sometimes. I understand usually the mutilate after the garrote when starting a rotation is not ideal, but the timing is so sparse and with the announcement that expertise does not need to be capped (which sometimes makes the enemy dodge and losing seconds) I use the muti->SnD to ensure I dont waste time. Is this rotation generally correct for single target DPS?

Also, this may or may not be a big request but I was hoping to get a look at my armory profile and see if I am on track with stats. Any help is greatly appreciated:

Will getting a 346 main hand greatly increase my damage from the 333 current mainhand? Or will the increase only be slight? Also, the 333 with mending is not a damage increase I know, but it was a free enchant given from a guildmate since that 333 mainhand is just a placeholder for a 346.

Do I need 1332 displayed hit rating to never miss poisons again on raid bosses with 2/3 precision? I saw the post about cataclysm raiding and want to make sure I am reading it right.

Will getting rid of grace of the herald and replacing it with a better proc than crit increase my damage also?

So good to see this thread back. Thanks for all the great info.

A discussion I'd like to have is what people are using for big heals on a Tank after a Riptide. At first I was doing RT/UL/GHW/GHW but lately I've been trying RT/UL/HS/HS. Would the extra crit on HS from RT make up for the lower HPM of the spell compared to GHW? More chance for AA, AH and WS procs.

Thoughts?

You shouldn't be using fear at all in PVE. It causes pulls and your tank will hate you. Fear is a PVP only spell. There are rare
Exceptions but they are highly situational and you should never do so without a specific request from the tank.

I've played this class since Vanilla, i know the potential drawbacks of fear in istance/raid

Just to note, these set bonuses are worth less at 85 then they would be at 80 because of the much larger gap between Agility and all secondary stats at 85. Both of these set bonuses are quite passive in that you will play the same way you would without them. While you generally don’t have to think about it, there is a limited duration on the 4 piece bonus and you will want to get an Envenom off before it expires. An additional note, while the 2 piece T10 bonus is very good, you will not want to sacrifice two pieces of current gear to retain this bonus in the same way we did with T6 during the first tier of WotLK.

Are the T11 bonus EPs updated ? If not, anyone has any info on new EPs ?

Last night I decided to use the GHeal strategy that was posted in a few earlier posts.

I definitely see the benefits of using GHeal with the crit chance over spamming Heal/Shield.

I just feel like spamming Heal restricts me. I'm basically required to spam it on the tank to keep him alive, and because it only heals for about 3% of my party member's team.. having to switch between each ally and hit them with a heal is almost pointless as the cast time per heal value does nothing but warrant distress.

I'm not sure how others are effectively healing heroics as Disc.. but as of right now, I think I'm going to stick with the GHeal strategy.
