Pretty sure 20% or more is easily reachable, I have 17 in mostly blues already and I'm using several pieces that have no haste on them.

I'd say not being hitcapped is having less influence than ever before. The numbers simcraft has pumped out showing hit having low value seem to be pretty correct. Only reason I'd ever consider aiming for cap at all costs would be if I'm given the responsebility to dispel something from bosses, though I'm not sure if it even needs cap any more.

Awesome, without hit cap that frees up a lot of dps options for Haste/Crit. Is there a limit anyone would suggest of how much Miss% is just simply too much? I've only been to 10man once so far so I don't have much experience with 88 mobs yet. currently if I reforge and max out haste I sit around 5% miss chance on 88 mobs.

Plugging your character stats into Mew will provide you with stat weightings more specific to your character. For me it normally gives Agil > Mastery > Crit/Haste > Hit/Exp. This trend can also be seen on this blog: Fluid Druid Feral DPS Gear Wish List

Everyone's DPS has gone down with the launch of Cataclysm. This is all thanks to the stat degradation suffered as you level up from 80->85. In time your DPS will come back up and eventually surpass what you could do in Wrath of the Lich King as gear progresses.

Is there a version of Rawr that currently works for Prot Pallys? If not, is there another program like it that people are now using?

It's pretty much entirely based on how good are you at noticing misses and reacting to them. Though obviously missing 3x MB in a row will be pretty bad as well when emp. shadows drops but on average (not just in ideal case!) the extra DPS from the "leftover" ratings will make up for it, as long as that rating is haste

So for Sv hunters after hit cap what would the stat priority be... from what i understand its mastery > crit > haste?

Hi,

I use the following to pull single target:
Outbreak - Plague strike - Blood boil - rune strike (if available)
I run with guildies and they are already teached - if the saw the yellow circle, start nuke :-)

I have question. We run now Cata 5 man normal, but now we had gearscore 333, so we start the heroic soon.
During the normal I can tank everything with same talent-tree.
But in HC (or later raid) neccessary to make two different talet tree (one for packs one for boss)?

What I'm wondering is, is it a good idea to save focus for ExP ALYWAYS? When I tried to do so, I often had times where my target (talking about bosses here) was without BA for a few seconds, because I was having trouble pooling enough focus to use both ExP and BA. If I prioritized BA, it would mean ExP waiting on cd for at least 1-2 more Cobra Shots before I used it. The reason I'm wondering is because while I realize that ExP is supposed to be the hardest hitting ability, not having BA on the target will mean less LnL procs. I'm guessing my question is: in boss fights, is it a good idea to always save focus for ExP while at the same time reducing BA uptime or not?

Current sims indicate Fire to be better but depending on the fight, frost can be more beneficial. It's best to run with frost and fire as specs so you have frost's burst/survivability and fire's mobility/superior aoe.

Healed a Druid through BRC last night. And without my typical SP or Ret I was having more issues with mana. Current gear is around 340 gemmed for int haste. I started running oom on trash due to low dps. Not wanting to waste pots/tide/JC trinks I respeced to Tcurrents.

When it crits its good. But watching my mana go down one and up two most of the time is not really encouraging. Maye if the cast times on LB was not 2sec+. Someone refresh my mind, is the 5 sec after casting regen slow still around? I know we regen just as much in combat as out of combat but what about casting. Are we hurting ourselves by shooting Lbolts? I tried to test this but never really had a good place for it.

We have no meditation talent... Question is... Stand there or lightning bolt for mana.

I imagine it will depend on your level of spirit...

mana problems

I've seen a lot of people speaking about mana problems, but I just can't seem to relate. When first hitting 85, absolutely, there was huge mana problems. However, since getting mostly 346 gear from heroics / reputations, that problem seems to have gone away.

From my observations, greater healing wave has little to no use. The only time I ever cast it is for a nature's swiftness. Healing goes as follows... spam healing wave. If you start to get behind on a target taking a lot of damage, Unleash elements, healing wave, instantly riptide (for dual benefit) and pump a Healing surge or two into them.

As far as stats, I've focus Int / Spirit / Crit. Mastery does indeed feel pointless at the moment. Haste also isn't what it used to be in my opinion. We don't need to get heals off as quickly as we needed to before, but instead work on longevity. As previously stated, we don't have a meditation ability, so spirit is important for our MP5.

All reforging has gone to take away from mastery, and sometimes haste to give more spirit / crit. This has been extremely effective thus far. Also, agreed with the previous post about Telluric Currents. It may be viable in heroics, but certainly is not in raids. The talent is situational at best (for example magmaws chain phase)

Another piece that I've heard about a lot is that healing rain felt useless. This is far from true in my experiences. The healing experience is much more relaxed in Cat, and requires more finesse... rather than the whack-a-mole that everyone has been used to in the past. Your raid can be slowly healed back up with effective heals, including healing rain. With a consolidated stacked group, a healing rain + a UE chain heal will top off a good amount of raid damage. Chain heal is by no means a spammable ability anymore, but I still find it effective in combination with healing rain.

What are most people grabbing for a glove enchant?
If going for pure survivability my choice is between:
Glove Reinforcements (240 armor) &
Enchant Gloves - Greater Mastery (65 Mastery)

Reinforcements seem to edge out the 44 sta for EH, but is it better than 65 mastery?
I think it's pretty pathetic Glove Reinforcements are still a solid enchant for a 3rd expansion.

why would you bother to change Spirit to Hit when with Elemental Precision gives 100% of our Spirit as hit rating?
