I'm pretty sure this has been discussed in other threads, but hurricane will proc off of our white and yellow attacks but it also procs off of our DP dots. If I remember correctly if you already have the buff up from a weapon proc and it procs off of your DP it refreshes the uptime. If you have a proc from DP up then your weapon can proc a second buff.

I have also had hurricane proc off of recuperate and bandages. If you read the tooltip for hurricane it procs off of spells and damaging melee attacks. So it is possible to proc both the spell and melee buff it seems. Now the question is, if you have hurricane on both weapons is it possible then to have 4 cases of the buff up at one time?

I really don't see [Shard of Woe] as being something fire mage should consider, as there are definitely superior options available this tier, such as [Theralion's Mirror] and [Bell of Enraging Resonance].

Taking a look at [Shard of Woe] specifically, let's breakdown both bonuses that it provides:

[1] Reduces the base mana cost of your spells by 405. So essentially what we're looking at here is netting X amount of extra fireballs over the course of the fight without having to scorch in between. I doubt the value of this for a couple reasons:

a) In full 346 gear with a few 359 pieces, I find myself with zero mana issues outside of fights where I need to lay down heavy AoE damage, and even in those cases I don't find myself hard ooming. The fights that currently exist where you can realistically turret and spam fireball are few and far between, even without consciously weaving Scorch into your rotation you'll be doing it on the move in almost every fight this tier.

b) We won't be able to make any real conclusions on this until someone obtains it and tests it out, but as others have mentioned previously, this may cancel itself out partially by reducing the amount of mana returned via Master of Elements, further reducing the value of the mana cost reduction. And by the time one would obtain this trinket, their crit would be at a fairly good level in mostly 372 gear.

[2] 1935 Haste Rating for 10sec, On Use, 1min CD. While a 1min cooldown on a trinket use is nice, 10 seconds is not a very long duration, and, well, it's haste. The most obvious uses for this would be combining it with Combustion for extra ticks, or even Pyroblast! / Living Bomb if your natural haste rating through gear + the use effect would give you an extra tick. So while it's not terrible, I don't think it compares to the effects of other trinkets available this tier (Bell of Enraging Resonance has a spellpower proc and Therlaion's Mirror has a Mastery proc).

[Theralion's Mirror] likely being a no-brainer for trinket 1 because it's currently the only raid trinket with INT on it means [Shard of Woe] competes for trinket 2, and I think [Bell of Enraging Resonance] is just plain better.

Hello everyone. I am new to warriors after an extended break from WoW. I currently using the following macro as a fury warrior. I am sure there are some issue with it and some abilities I should not be combining into one macro. Any suggestions on how to maximize my DPS are appreciated.

/startattack
/cast recklessness
/cast death wish
/cast blood fury
/cast lifeblood
/use magnetite mirror
/berserker rage
/cast colossus smash
/cast bloodthirst
/cast heroic strike

My rotation currently consists of the following:

1. Spam the macro above.
2. Raging Blow when available.
3. Slam when proc occurs.

Feel free to rip this to shreds!

I've been doing some heroics as Frost now, and I have a few questions/comments.

First off, I've found that it's very easy to reach the soft crit cap. Assuming all raid buffs and (unglyphed) molten armor, you only need about 19-20% crit on your gear to be capped on FoF procs. I'm at this cap and I don't even have any epic gear yet.

Secondly, I've noticed that my Ignite procs from FFB seem to be proccing FoF on its ticks, can anyone confirm whether this happens or not?

Third: Once you're at the soft crit cap I'm assuming that haste and mastery are better point-for-point than crit. Should you try to stack one or the other, or is it better to reforge so that haste and mastery are as close to equal as possible?

Additionally, I'd like to note that I can sustain myself with molten armor, a mana potion, and mana gems for a fight that lasts up to around 5 minutes (a la Baradin Hold). For a raid boss longer than that, is it better to swap armors mid-fight or just stick with Mage Armor the whole time?

possibly they weren't taken into consideration seeing as though 2.8 speed weapons were only available from heroics. question really boils down to is the slower the weapon more potential damage output? faster weapons? or just their inherent stats?

If it is in fact the case is having 2.8 speed weapon and glyphing scourge strike glyph optimal? I'm still using heroic weapons the ones listed under pre-raid, and saw that they differed from the frost BiS being that 2.8 speed was optimal.
The only weapons faster than 2.6-2.8 are Daggers, which we can't equip, and Healer maces, which we shouldn't equip. All the Strength 1H weapons are 2.6-2.8 which makes slow/slow optimal for DW Unholy at this point.

I find Effloresence useful even in heroics. I can Swiftmend the tank or a masochistic melee and at least get the melee people if no one else. It tends to do 4.7% of my overall healing in a heroic.

That's 4.7% healing for a very cheap prize.. mana wise.. tho I'm always wondering how much of that is during times when you really need it.
Anyways.. it's allot down to preference.. if not mana effeciency

I found heroics generally easy concidering the low gear and amount of randoms I run (compared to guild runs).
However I don't think this is due to spec but rather because I started doing heroics early (when the people who are now doing high end raiding were doing heroics)

No I still think you skim read my post unless your talking to some body else? In which case why on earth would you quote my reply.

I am talking about the import functionality (nothing to do with the armory).

I would not put it this way. It is easy to reach the crit *or* the hit cap with 346 gear, but hard (if not impossilbe) to reach both.

As for armors: In heroic 5-mans I generally run Mage Armor on trash and (glyphed) Molten Armor on bosses. Mana is not really a concern in the short fights there.
I did not do too much raiding yet, and only had the chance to compare mage vs. molten armor on Magmaw 10 man, where one "session" was spent wiping and learning the fight and one wiping and finally downing the boss - so you can not really compare those two samples. But as I am way below crit cap I feel that for me molten armor is the slightly better choice.

When running molten armor you have to keep an eye on your mana and use mana gems and evocation wisely. I try to use Evocation whenever I am also low HP and thus at least save some healer mana. If possible at the end of an icy veins phase, but generally just when I am low on mana and hp.
When running mage armor you can basically turn off you mana bar - it will never move (which is extremely nice when you do not know an encounter).

Unfortunately, having the web app self update gear means it is very closely tied to the armory. The armory doesn't only hold your character information for importing, it is also where ShadowCraft gets all the gear information. All those "itemID" in your import text are how ShadowCraft gets the item information from the armory. Currently the armory does not have an easy way to access the gear information; this is why you are unable to import a gear set. ShadowCraft simply has nothing to retrieve the gear information from.

With an average ilvl of 342, I have 16% hit and 19% crit. Granted, my haste and mastery are quite low, since the little that appears on my gear is all reforged into hit and crit, and I also rely on a trinket for a good deal of my hit rating. I could theoretically glyph for molten armor and drop a percent of crit to reach both hit and crit cap.

Once you've gone above the crit cap, I believe the time you have to spend evocating, as well as any possible hazards that ruin your evocation will make mage armor more beneficial than molten armor, although it's possible that you can get more DPS by "stance-dancing" with armors to optimize mana usage. However, at this point it would probably be more optimal to reforge your crit away into haste and mastery while still using molten armor. With an average item level of 359 and above I do not think the glyph of Molten armor will be necessary.

I'm unsure if it was mentioned earlier, but as of 12/24 Eng. goggles are currently incapable of being reforged.

I get infractions for being right.

I've never felt the need to QQ on forums before, but I do feel blizzard needs to do something about druids. Wotlk only proved it, we could top the meters on most fights, but were still sat for the most important fight of the expansion.

Now it takes far more skill, and perfect play to even compete with the Pally's and priests, yet we still have absolutely no healing utility. No damage reduction, -10% always up or cd. No absorbs of any kind. And no Burst heals.

I mentioned this to another healer, she said what we bring that's unique is hots. Except as the above poster said, hots have absolutely no benefit over the same healing in a burst. (Except in cases where movement or CC of some type stops casts)

I know this isn't the place for ideas to fix the core problems going on, so I put that up at:

Balancing Healing can't be done by numbers - Forums - World of Warcraft

Xaar was certainly right. We need some core changes. And Blizzard doesn't read these forums, so put it where they do read it, in my opinion.

Can someone please verify for me the Destro stat priority. I have been working alot lately and have spent most of my Cataclysm time so far on my Prot Paladin. Other threads I have read say that they go Int>Hit>Mastery>Haste=Crit... I would just like some input from players using the above stat priorities before re-forging and etc... Thanks
