I'm a tad confused....We have a restoration druid from one of the world's top guilds (Xaar) claiming that druids need buffs for either raid healing or tank healing (or at LEAST some utility) and Blizzard's response is to nerf OoC and give us extra healing done on an already incredibly expensive heal (that probably won't be used as much because OoC won't proc as much)

What the hell? Where's the silver lining to this? Am I missing something?

I think the wording of the post touching on OoC gives us hope they won't change it. About what Xaar said, one thing they could easily do would be to keep the total WG heals for atm but to make the difference between the first ticks and the lasts bigger, so we get people up from danger faster.

It's just said how many tricks and/or cooldowns we need to use to be able to get a party up fast from a decimate-like effect, one easy example being the first boss in Shadowfang Keep, achievement mode.

I was talking about that last night with some of my guildees. A little more burst raid healing would be much appreciated, even if the healing done overall remains the same.

I have a stupid question and I can't seem to find the answer..I probably have missed the thread somewhere so please excuse me for asking a question if it's already answered..I know that's a pain in the a--...but what is the hit cap for casters now..mainly asking for my warlock now that it hit 85. Is it the same for all casters? Thank you! (PS I'm bad at math so if it is answered by an equation that's probably why I haven't found the answer yet lol)

Other then the sword we get from Archeology, what do ya'll think is the other BiS offhand? The two i have been looking at and hearing about is the sword of the Bottomless Pit Heroic version and the Heroic Arc War Axe. Only two differences are the sword has speed of 3.8 and axe is at 3.5. The sword also has hast/mast and the axe is crit/exp... according to stat priority the axe is better but the speed difference is the only thing that is making the choice hard. What are ya'lls opinions on the better of the two?

Your numbers are a lot closer to what I've seen in practice as far as GHW scaling. I know that i'm getting something close to 1:1 scaling on GHW.

SP=1.7866
Hit=1.7285
Haste=1.1002
Mastery=0.9731
Crit=0.7354
Just so I'm clear, does this mean that an arcane mage should gem for Intellect rather than Hit even if he/she isn't hit-capped?

I'd like to ask what's a good build for Enhancement PvP. Also, I'm Elemental PvP right now but considering to change to Enhancement because I just get facerolled all over while Elemental specced. You think this is a worthy change?

Thanks a lot!!

Shadow.....

I'm so confused with everything now on my Priest......lol My Hit rating is 913 or 15.37%. My haste is 12.72% and Crit is 16.36%. This is all without buffs. Now the issue I am having and I really hope someone can help me because before Cata I didn't have this issue. But I run out of mana REAL fast. I can do a max of 2 fights before having to mana again. Not good when your in a dungeon cause no-one wants to stop for you. What should my spirit be? And should I get rid of the talent that turns spirit to hit? Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Assuming one has hit both hit and crit cap, haste appears to be the best secondary stat to reforge to. However, I feel that mastery would be a more prudent thing to stack after caps are met.

In an ideal sort of patchwerk fight where we have time and have the ability to stay stationary and turret cast frostbolt, haste will certainly show its worth by having more frostbolts cast, more FoF procs, and in general more damage. However, haste has very little effect on ice lance (which given my experience in current raid encounters is one of my top 3 damage spells, usually accounting for 20%+ of my damage). Every fight in T11 involves movement, sometimes for extended periods of time (of course some have more than others), and I find myself resorting to icelance very frequently on any given fight. Let us not forget that mastery also increases deep freeze damage, which is commonly one of my top 3 damaging spells.

Haste is good for frostbolt spam, which ultimately means more FoF procs but is heavily dependent on stationary fights. Haste is the best secondary stat to stack in an ideal situation.
Crit is great for all spells until a cap at 33% raidbuff at which point it no longer affects deep freeze and only slightly affects Ice lance (On movement heavy fights where non-FoF ice lances will be cast)
Mastery is good for both deep freeze and icelance on stationary fights. Mastery, like haste, will show the best results on stationary fights because we will be casting more frostbolts and be gaining more FoF procs. However, unlike haste, mastery retains some of its value when heavy movement is required.

What secondary stat, in practice not on paper, would others consider the best?

Ovale Spell Priority

Good day,

I was not sure where to put this, but I did a search and did not find any mention of this addon.

Has anyone used Ovale Spell Priority? I love shock and awe, but the one thing I like about this addon on my warlock is that i can see the next spell/ability in order. It lets me prepare to hit my key just a little bit faster. It also measures your performance in following the priority.

Thanks!
