As of mid-Beta, with good Vengeance, a 0% overheal WoG would do about 30% the threat of ShoR, but with scaling changes its probably more like 20% now.

Its worth noting that the shield generated by GbtL on WoG overhealing produces virtually zero threat (someone on Maintankadin worked out that the shield generates a flat 15 or so threat regardless of shield size).
I have a question:
I dont know if that just was a legend or, but iit's true that when you heal yourself it does twice of trheat? Or, was it true some time ago?

If that's not a legend, and still working that way, that would be 1,5 thread/health and with 3 HoPo that means like 18k of health if not a crit. so would be like 27k threat.
If im not bad either, the agro from healing is divided among all the targets. I mean, it would not be 27k to each target, it will be 27k/target.

Anyone knows if thats true? does selfheal do twice threat?

Thanks!

P.D. sorry for my bad enlgish :S

Trinket Choices

Tyrian's BiS list for trinkets puts the Darkmoon Card: Volcano as BiS. I'm wondering two things about this trinket, one is do our talents effect this fire damage proc, most importantly, will it proc ignite when/if it crits? Secondly, is it truly BiS?

As a second trinket slot, if the Darkmoon card is our BiS, is the Bell of Enraging Resonance or Theralion's Mirror the better choice?

I would guess the Darkmoon Card and the Mirror is the best combination. Thank you in advance for your input.

Moving the 2 points from Seals of the Pure to Rule of Law in the Retribution Tree will be more beneficial.
But with 2 points you only get a 10% its a 3 point talent.

I would like to talk about the Guardian spec too:

Did you think about changin 2 points from Recknoning to Hallowed ground?

Thats is the build that im using for now, "he guardian", but with those 2 points exchanged.
It give more dps to the consecration, and of course, less waste of mana.

With that talent I can usually use consecration often, and it does more thread, the fact is that consecration doenst eat my mana thanks to that talent.

A word about the recknoning, I'm almost done with my pre-raid gear, and I'm just at ~40% of block chance. Lets think that I got 50%, the 20% of my blocks will tigger that reckoning, and since I will only block the 50% of incoming damage, it will just be active like 10% of the ecounter.

At least the consecration can be active (if the fight let me or if I want to do that) like the 33,3% of the encounter (10 seconds activated each 30 seconds). What do you think about that? It would be "the AOE Guardian!"

thanks for your help!

Couple quick questions:

1) I haven't been able to find any estimates (maybe I missed them), but is the dps value for going 31/3/7 that much of a hit over 31/2/8? To help reaching the spell hit. I know at higher gear levels it isnt as much of an issue.

2) When macroing something like Hyperspeed Accelerators to Mutilate (for example), is there a way to get rid of that "this ability isnt ready yet" message? Its very annoying.

Thanks!

n order to change to 54 crit and 3% increase crit dmg meta i need to replace 4x40str for 20str 20 hit , wich makes me lose 80 str , and gain 80 hit

Wich results:

Losing: 247 EP from strenght loss
Gaining: 62 EP from Hit

Plus lets take highest reforgable stat to reforge my 80 hit back from reforged equipment. Wich would result in around

Gaining 80 haste = 60 EP

In total we lose 247-122 = 125 EPs

Obviously those 3% crit dmg increase is hard to value in EP but you see why i chose this gem instead of taking 54 crit and 3%

-----
So am i wrong by using 54 crit 1 spell reflect gem until old requirements are back?
I am asking cause i one guild bashed my application due to me using this gem and their excuse was our melees are using it so you should be too but i see no reason to use it until old requirements are back

Stamina > Mastery > Parry > Dodge

Threat Stat Priority:

Expertise > Hit > Strength > Crit

So I am seeing just about all high end guild protection warriors.. IE... Kungen, Sco, Grafarion etc.. they all have close to 0 hit % or maybe just 1% hit and close to 0 expertise... yes survivability is important but is the rage income with 50% block so substantial that there is no need for any hit or expertise? I could certainly reforge it into more mastery/parry/dodge, but not sure what the results would be with my threat, I have spent most of my years as a DPS warrior, but I am fairly knowledgeable in understanding and putting the warrior class to work, I would very much appreciate some input on this, I like having good snap threat at the begining of bosses, cause we have a lot of players that like to
precast nukes etc for pulls. it really would suck to see a parried or dodged SS with SB up.

my stats are
162k hp
44.22% block
12.80% parry
10.32% dodge
15 expertise
3.69% hit
My Armory link: Trøn @ Staghelm - Game - World of Warcraft
I have only tanked omnitron/mag/maloriak/halfus/valiona

I don't have any numbers to back it up but once vengeance is stacked and so long as a rotation is maintained, I feel like I'm generating enough threat with 4.3% hit and 6 expertise (all of it from gear). I also feel like after regemming and reforging for mastery (stam mastery gems in most cases) that I'm much easier to heal. Yes, you'll need to have your dps wait a couple seconds before opening up at the start of a fight in case of a parry/dodge/miss, but you'll be easier to heal in the long run and your overall threat should be fine.

Not sure if this is a tip/trick or a cautionary tale. Last night I was on a heroic Tol'vir run, and during the shadow phase of the Barim fight I laid out my Frostfire Orb, which proceeded to kill my already wounded healer and then start laying into the warlock next to me rather than attacking the phoenix. I'll try to duplicate the issue again tonight and capture a log, but my party won't like me for it.

How important is getting to the hit cap and soft expertise cap vs dodge in reforging? I just got hit capped and only got expertise on 16. My guild wants me to go tank as offspec, but i have always been on resto/boomkin and never really practiced bear, so I am having hard time figuring out if my threath generation will be enough if I do not get those caps.
Also I have seem to have made the mistake of taking agi above crit in value, from the charts i saw on the first few pages it seems that crit and mastery trumps the rest in secondary stats.
