I have dropped my shadow for the minute and running with two disc tree's, utilising AA in one to see how it goes.

Not starting raiding yet, still getting to grips with the heroics. Basically though I am finding the same as others in that finding the time to smite whilst ensuring the tank/party get the heals they need is a struggle. Perhaps though it's largely to do with the dps just standing and not moving from the fire, dust or whatever. In time of course this will get better and may provide opportunities to get the best out of AA, not convinced yet though.

Currently I am finding my bread and butter disc shielding spec works best but not in all cases. Using penance on the tank to stack grace x3 when he starts taking damage, popping a shield up and then using heal seems to work fairly well with up to 12k from heal. But even though its a cheap heal I find that it needs to be cast a few times to keep the tank topped off.

Now I know most are going to say that topping off is not the way, however, I find its the only useful way to use heal. If the tank is taking bigs hits or has already lost a fair bit of health then heal with grace stacked is not going to get you very far and a GH which crits for 38k is of course the better option than casting heal 5 times.

Ensuring a shield drops every 12 seconds for that 2.5% mana gain is very useful if you manage it properly.

I find the most important element is to keep grace on the tank and try to avoid casting heals on other party members that takes it away from him/her, although that can be difficult at times.

The times where I struggle for example are on the first boss in SFK, once he AoE's the mana use to get the group back up becomes a bind which is where AA may come into its own as you tend to get more time to build up the stacks via smite and the 15% on PoH may help significantly. Yet to try it though.

I am finding though the disc priest is still pretty efficient when it comes to mana unless something goes wrong.

Edit: Couldn't imagine where the soft frost crit cap was coming from. Reading what benefits your talents provide definitely helps! Shatter talent provides you the triple crit chance against frozen targets and 3 times 33,3 % equals nearly 100 %!
Sorry for posting before proper thinking :/

Hello, I am working my way into becoming a better tank. I keep up on your forums daily. I am trying to understand the "numbers" but am not having the best time with it. If you all could here is my toon, I would like to hear comments and suggestions. I know I don't have the right bracer yet, I haven't had the luck of it dropping. Thanks a head of time. Also, does anyone have a simplified explanation of the math? or a site or thread I can go to to help wrap my head around it?

OMG I'm glad you reminded me about Safeguard! Not because I should have moved the points elsewhere, but because I didn't remember to start incorporating it while raiding. Once you Intervene the boss, the boss's target (the OT presumably at the time) gets the 30% incoming dmg reduction for 6 secs, which could be interpreted as an extra survival CD. The 10% threat loss should be negligible.

Is there any concrete consensus on the strength of DMC: Hurricane? I've heard conflicting results about how strong it is, and have invested in the deck but am reluctant to take the card if it turns out to be sub-par.

Weapon - Dmg ?

Hi, i ve been reading for quite some time now - this is going to be my first post... anyways

Yawning postet the following a few weeks ago
Yawning Oct 14, 2010 2:32 am
So things I've worked out so far:
All cat form critical strike effects have a 2.2x multiplier. (Yawninglol on beta crits for 2.0x so I'm fairly sure this is new).
Mangle: (Weapon Dmg) * 3.6 + 1017
Shred: (Weapon Dmg) * 3.5 + 1036

i recently checked out the ilev359 PvP weapons

Vicious Gladiator's Pike
Two-Hand Polearm
1795 - 2693 Damage Speed 3.60
(623.3 damage per second)
+341 Agility
+512 Stamina
Requires Level 85
Item Level 359
Equip: Increases your critical strike rating by 228 (1.27% @ L85).
Equip: Increases your resilience rating by 228 (0.62% @ L85).

and

Vicious Gladiator's Staff
Two-Hand Staff
997 - 1497 Damage Speed 2.00
(623.3 damage per second)
+341 Agility
+512 Stamina
Requires Level 85
Item Level 359
Equip: Increases your critical strike rating by 228 (1.27% @ L85).
Equip: Increases your resilience rating by 228 (0.62% @ L85).

According to Yawnings posting the Weapon Dmg is quite important for Mangle and Shred.
Which stat is meant by "weapon Dmg" ? The DPS seems unlikely, due to the fact that the attackspeed of cats and bears is fix (if haste is being left out). If the Weapon damage means the max damage of the weapon, why would anyone choose the staff over the polearm ? i dont ve a pair of weapons with equal stats which differ in the attackspeed, thats why i cant figure it out at the moment. My question is of course what is meant by weapon damage, which one should a feral cat choose?

Haste and Mastery

Haste is looking a lot stronger than mastery based on parse analysis. Overload is only hitting for about 66-67 percent of my regular spells. Cannot figure out how the proc damage is calculating, but am gonna do some testing to try and figure out how it's going to scale. This conclusion is consistent with the reforging priorities in this forum, but its also been suggested that mastery and haste are close to similar weighting and they do not seem to be from my point of view.

i've been trying to find some guides or help for ench shamen, i just started yesterday as i've been picking up gear along the way.

I was wondering if anyone had a site or could tell me if my stats look ok

Eirage @ Lightbringer - Game - World of Warcraft

i dont know alot about what hit rating and what exp i need as an ench shaman, my gear seems ok and i can do about 10k dps on a single target, but i've seen other shaman do more dps with lesser gear

i use , fire shock, searing totem, lava lash, unleash elements and storm strike as my rotation.

Any help would be appriciated

Under "Multiple Target Fire DPS" section I no longer put Living Bomb on 3 mobs. Instead I put Living Bomb on a single target, Blastwave, Flamestrike, and then fish for Impact. My AoE dps has sky rocketed with this method. I found switching targets three times and casting Living Bomb on each then trying to getting back to the first target to be too tedious and results in lower dps.

The reason for casting Flamestrike with the Blastwave is to help trigger the impact and with multiple mobs running around your probability of getting an impact proc increases.

I'm wondering why band of secret names is on the BiS affliction list over a heroic planetary band off conclave? May be hard to model with the random stats issue, but definitely worth modeling. Also, Heroic Gale of Shadows is off on both affliction bis lists, I know this has been brought up but from my sim the heroic Bell of Engaging Resonance outdoes Darkmoon card as well, take a look.

Also, a brief aside, my sim has the halfus heroic bracers outdoing the bracers on the bis list. (mastery/haste reforged)/hit > Hit/(crit/haste reforged).

With the goblin racial, would it be logical to switch 1 point of netherwind precesence to 1 point into arcane conc?
