Garrote's effect also procs Venomous Wounds, and when coupled with Vendetta, Overkill, Rupture, and possible pots/lust, you're looking at a substantial increase, as the energy it procs becomes invaluable, especially when the target is <35%.

Has anyone posted up a list of stat priorities, as in what is most beneficial to stack. Assuming the usual stam/int on items is a must, what is the proper order for secondary stats now days both for stats found in gear, reforging, jems?

I read threads on EJ and it has taught me a lot. I reforged, regemmed, and approached fights differently due to the knowledge I gained. I started to look at my character and I am confused on the proper hit cap I am aimming for, and what secondary stats I am looking to increase. Thus far I believe I am hit capped for yellow, and I am trying to keep haste and mastery somewhat balanced.

Am I doing this right? Would anyone be willing to to take a look at my armory and see if I made any major mistakes? Boylehate on illidan. I recently started to aim for the best in slot from the spreadsheet. I thank you all for the info I have gained. I just want to play my rogue to the best of my ability.

I don't know why these have started surfacing again, but Rune Strike invokes a GCD and can't be used in a single macro with other strikes any more. I can only assume that people are blindly pasting macros from before, as of course they will still use the preceding strike and not cast RS. It doesn't matter if the preceding strike is on cooldown; as soon as the macro processor encounters an ability that invokes a GCD, it will stop processing subsequent abilities that are on the GCD.

Of course, why you'd even want to macro the current Rune Strike into your other abilities is another can of worms entirely...

Does anyone have a link to a BIS Arcane set. I've looked at the Fire/Frost and the high crit, low haste/mastery don't seem to work. Is there a set that works with both ifyou have a duel spec, or do you have to have 2 armor builds?

a) Intellect is far superior to all other stats, your gems should reflect this.
b) After that you want to cap your hit (17%) - Spirit or hit rating both help.
c) Haste beats mastery & crit.
d) Crit is a little better than mastery, but no major difference.

In practice that means:
a) Equip your highest ilvl item for each slot.
b) Gem intellect in every slot, unless the bonus is very good (10int or 20 x-rating if you only need 1 non red gem).
c) Reforge the items mastery/crit into spirit(or hit) to cap, rest into haste.

If you decide that the Chaotic meta is still worth it pre-fix then you need to gem hit instead of intellect.

Because, its the only thing we use our RP for, besides healing with DC with LB activated?

Hey guys I just registered on the forum but I am searching through these forums daily, keep the good work up


I had a question of my own, how valuable is the fist weapon set of Claws of Torment Claws of Torment - Item - World of Warcraft and Claws of Agony Claws of Agony - Item - World of Warcraft. Not the best stats to get and the off hand even has strength but the set bonus is 1000 haste for 10 sec which seems to have a 40-45 sec ICD and 10% chance to proc. Currently I am going with the epic fists from arena and have Claws of Agony in my bag and still searching for Claws of Torment. So I was wondering if we should go for this set or rather 2 weapons with the best stats.

Any reply would be great and thanks in advance.

I can't open the spreadsheets as of now.

Is TG > SMF for PVE? And what are our BIS trinkets?

I'm using Crushing Weight right now and I don't know which to get for my 2nd. The current trinket I have gives my death wish an ~8% bonus when used simultaneously.

has any1 tried critical / mastery combo? for without AA spec. With mastery boosting up bubbles for quite a bit, that could be a powerful combination. Not only for tank healing but also for raid heal since PoH procs DA anyway. And with decent amount of crit GH with IF on will crit for sure. With 14.85 points in mastery and 37% better bubbles my DA absorbs up to 20k dmg with 44k GH crit, making it in total almost 65k dmg absorbed which is quite a figure. And I am in most blues. Only have 5 epics. So with better raiding gear those figures could be boosted to pretty big numbers. Ofc dont totally ignore haste.

Can you explain why having Glyph of incinerate over glyph of felgaurd is better?

As well the talents Shadow and Flame vs Emberstorm. Would you rather get the extra 8% shadow bolt dmg for 75% of the fight over the 1 seconds reduced soul fire cast? Or could you go 2/3 shadow and flame and 1/2 emberstorm if you have enough haste?

A rough EnhSim run with my current gear showed the 2x fist set bonus to be worth about 100 dps, and frankly, a wash versus a 2.6, 462.4 DPS Mainhand and [Cookie's Tenderizer] for the offhand. All of those options still do not beat a caster mainhand (if you happen to have the right one that does more than 56 dps) paired with [Cookie's Tenderizer].

Since the chances of all Caster Mainhand weapons eventually getting nerfed to 56 dps is fairly high (though timeframe is unknown) it's not a bad idea to pick up actual melee friendly weapons.

The latest EnhSim Alpha (2.2.8) does include the weapon set bonus as an option now, so your best bet will be to sim how your gear compares.

I have not run the simcraft numbers on it but it seems fairly obvious (I am not trying to be mean) that the reduced time on soulfire is better. We practically have to cast soulfire every 15 sec in a fight, the 15% haste ensures that. that would mean in a 5 min fight, assuming no uses of soulburn, we would use an extra 20s to casting soulfire. I guess the real question is, in the 5 min fight, will the extra damage of 8% more shadowbolt damage worht 20 sec of waisted time in 5min+ enounters. The ammoun of time saved increases as you get below 25% and soulfire becomes the highes DPET of our 'spam' spells.

Would love to hear other thought on this, but i think sim craft will agree

I've been wondering about the worth of the 4 set bonus when compared to off set alternatives, primarily due to crit being such a weak stat.
There's a lot of backthought for it, but the short question: does the 40 extra agility and potential spell hit coupled with the EP of the 4 set outweigh the replacement haste/expertise on [Membrane of C'Thun] for the head piece and the mastery on [Poison Protocol Pauldrons]?
