Hey there!

Ok two things...

I've been trying to use the HW / Consecration macro, to no effect. It doesn't work...none of the spells get casted.

/castsequence [mod:alt] reset=14 Holy Wrath, Consecration
/startattack

Also, I'm doing WAY lower dps than a shaman with worse gear than me, and the difference is like 4k, this can't be right, I must be doing something wrong...
If anyone could take a look at my armory link, I'd appreciate it.
I know the bracers aren't enchanted, I just replaced the bracer and I can't seem to find an enchanter that has the +50 AP enchant...But that alone can't be responsible for 4k DPS...

Glyph of Indomitability

Does anyone use the Glyph of Indomitability these days? I got a heroic Heart of Thunder the other day and put it on, I'm always a fan of armor trinkets. But I had a look and Glyph of Indomitability has substantially more armor. It clearly loses ground with the on use effect, but it got me wondering. Anyone else think the 1792 ac is still worth it?

I am looking for some kind of macro that will keep Inquisition up as a Ret Paladin. It requires 1 Holy Power to use so it would need to be a macro containing Crusader Strike. I seem to remember there being a macro that would check for an aura was up and if it wasnt, then it would put it up and if it was, it could skip to the next line or something to that effect. I wanted to try and find an all in one macro for the rotation if I could, but that's not necessary, only trouble I am having atm is keeping Inquisition up, which is making my dps suffer.

Are we absolutely sure that is the case? I don't have any logs at hand for this, but I regularly run into situations of "double procs" on HS, which in absence of a better explanation, would suggest the sequence above does indeed produce HS4 procs.

edit: On further reflection, I realized these double procs could just as well be a sequence of HS4 -> HS3, or even consecutive HS3. Still, do we have conclusive testing for the assumption above?

GOAK fix

Hot fix from January 3rd.
- The Strength bonus from the Retribution version of Guardian of Ancient Kings now applies its bonus based on total Strength instead of just base Strength.

I am curious, I have 1191 Tempo Rating and it shows it as 9,3%.
According to the Chart 1181 Rating + 3% would be 12,5 which means 1181 rating would be 9,5% - where do I make the mistake?

First post from me, please be forgiving:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in support of this poster, wouldn't it be better to life tap anyways over fel flame even during movement (possibly waiting to recast Immolate until after short periods of movement even?), baring that you don't have enough mana to finish the encounter without tapping or are in extended periods of movement (making it more difficult to keep Immolate up, or a long waiting time to recast) or frequent movement (can tap more frequently)? Fel flame is nearly similar mana cost for a lot less ticks and less direct damage it appears, and life tap is .5 sec GCD with the glyph so you can tap more often during shorter movements periods than before.

My question however, lies in the above assumptions. How correct is this? Should I wait to recast immolate and just life tap? How long of movement would be necessary to consider using fel flame? Or should I always use it if Immolate is near falling off? Does fel flames damage scale with talents and stats similarly enough? These are simply assumptions I have made and questions I can't seem to find answers for after reading this thread numerous times but I may have missed some info. and I'm not sure how to go about attempting the math if someone would like to help, if it's even remotely feasible. Also you may want to add whatever the correct usage of it is under the guide in the rotation section at some point.

What I don't really understand is why you want that extra tick for living bomb? I don't see dps-jump on crossing this threshold. And longer duration of living bomb means longer intervals between explosions, so it can be even considered a dps drop...
Only reason I can think of for wanting that additional tick is dpm increase (25% for fifth tick). But it's really minor issue from my point of view.
So, why?

I hadn't thought of using t10x4 and popping images before a fight.... But I like the idea and will give it a go.

I just hate that now I need to keep that gear in my already full bags... At least I didn't delete it yet.

Thanks for the response. I was indeed referring to tooltip damage and you're definitely correct:

2916 * 0.20 = 583.2.
583.2 + 2916 = 3499.2
3499.2 * 0.02 = 69.984 + 3499.2 = 3569.

Whilst reading the description for communion, I was under the impression that the 2% bonus only took effect whilst an aura was active. I took the stats from my initial post with no aura/blessing/seal at all, and it's exactly the same as the tooltip damage listed on my armory page (which I assumed would not include any aura modifiers).

Oh well, I'm happy that I know what the answer is now. Thanks again!
