As of now there is no such thread. I, myself, have been anxiously awaiting one. Hopefully with a bit more in depth information towards the proper uses of Dark Intent, though I feel I have a decent grasp on it already.

It works like stated in the description. CoS does not refresh, Chimera does. The added duration is capped at some point though, i wasn't able to ever exceed 20 sec even when Bloodlust-spamming CoS in the Careful Aim phase.

Does anyone have an explanation for the first tick of combustion being different to the remaining ticks? Here is a parse of my guildmate last night, which should illustrate this.

Chimeara's eyes are limited to three of them. Jewelcrafting gives 81 int at best and so does every other profession. Ring enchants are 40 each, bs has 2 more gem slots, alchemy flasks give +80 and so on. Tailoring proc, also, used to have an average bonus in line with others.

I still can't see, why such a minor gain considered important enough to reach first haste cap. Yes, i know, with current bugs and raid buffs this cap is easily reachable by anyone. I just don't think it's a "real" cap, I just don't see any significant change upon reaching it. You know, like "can cast 3 ab instead of 4, until buff from 2t10 expires" or "never ever miss with spells". Just 1.25 dpm increase for one spell and one free gcd once every 42 seconds (which vanishes then your haste goes further up).
You would actually gain a gcd (and lose 1 explosion) every 53.33 sec as you pass the 12.5% haste mark.

The gcd could be used to cast scorch which would be about 10k damage in blue gear, while you would lose the explosion which would hit for about 5k in the same gear. This would net you 5k damage every 53.33 sec or 93.7 dps just for going over the haste threshold. Of course this doesn't account for the mana saved by not casting the extra living bomb every 53.33 sec which could be used to change a scorch or 2 to a fireball.

Combustion does damage when it hits which is what you are seeing.

Brilliant inferno ruby: 40 int. Is the normal intellect gem people would use, when that is used there are several examples where gemming pure intellect is the best way to go. There are examples shown in the fire mage thread for reference to examples where gemming for socket bonus is better than pure intellect.

Jewelcrafters have the opportunity to gem with: Brilliant Chimera's Eye 67 int. I have been looking over socket items, but have not yet found an item where it is not best to drop the socket bonus and just gem with 67 intellect. It will be even better when the Chaotic meta gem will be changed. If this is true, jewelcrafting will give a 27 int bonus for every socket available, which can add up to being one of the best proffesions overall.
If this is right then i think the proffesion section should be updated to include this.
You can only have up to three [Brilliant Chimera's Eye] in your gear at one time.

This entirely depends on your raid/group composition.

You get the highest personal gain out of Flametongue, Wrath of Air and Mana Spring. But generally some, if not all, of those buffs will be provided by the group or you'll want Healing Stream down for the healing and resistance (through the glyph) or it might be better to buff your group because they benefit more.

At Valiona&Theralion, cauterize doesn't always save you from blackout. Iceblock does.

Are you kidding me? I used 2 talent points for the boss beats me more frequently?

haste

i've read all the topics and used some tacticts from you guys , but after some serius testing i have a differrent way of healing.
maybe terribly wrong ! but it works for me.

ofc lb on the tank, but when the going gets tough i use regrowth for the haste buff. and spam HT. and wg.
when the going not gets tough i just mantain lb with nourish.
it realy works for me.
i have 110k mana and 2010 haste so with the haste buff HT is a 1.8 sec cast.
i think all i need is more spirit and i'm good.

ps sorry for the bad english

Dummy testing has proven inconclusive for me. Ravage hits hard, but the overal dps doesn't seem any better.
in raids this seems a bit of an odd rotation, though you could theoretically use it to hit up one target for a full sequence of bleeds, then feral charge to another target and open up with ravage while your other target bleeds out...

Imo, feral charge (kitty) has more utility value in soloing stuff or in pvp, where stealth -> ravage -> rake -> maim -> run -> feral charge -> ravage is an immensely funny combination.

I've noticed that starfall is a good thing to use in your rotation and when you do, use it when you get lunar. That really boosted my dps a bit.
