I optimized my gear yesterday with Rawr, and wondered why it says that i should reforge everything into expertise. I ended up with nearly 45 expertise. So my question is, is it that worth that you can nearly attack the boss from all directions? I know that there are missing about 10-11 points (just don't have the correct numbers) for not getting a hit parried in front of the boss. But with increades expertise reforged, i lose more crit (which is still not that high) and mastery (i stand about 30% chance for an extra swing now).

Any suggestions there?

Edit: another curious thing, every time i log into the game, i'm missing about 0.5% hit... when i re-equip my weapon again, the missing hit is back.

Yeah with 1618 haste rating and 3 / 3 np + 5 % raid buff youre FAR over the haste softcap

To get another tick;

With 3 / 3 NP and raid buff : You need; 516 haste rating (383 if youre goblin) to reach the soft cap
With just 3 / 3 NP: You need; 1181 haste rating (1043 if youre goblin) to reach the soft cap
and without anything at all (No 3 / 3 NP, no 5 % raid buff): you need 1601 haste rating to reach the soft cap

Which would be the most adequate professions in the moment for the warrior fury?

I assume the new meta gem coming next patch, Burning Shadowspirit Diamond (Intellect/3% critical damage), will be the metagem to use for all specs?

Chaotic meta gem finally being changed to 3 red gems.

... and a new contestant has entered the ring:

Str/3% Crit meta also requiring 3 reds, with the only downside is that the pattern will be a drop. Either way, much better gem than the Crit rating one.

Plus side, won't have to spend Daily tokens to get it!

Ok Shumoo, you've posted alot of wrong information in this thread already, please don't confuse people more with your misinformation. EVERY haste treshold you get the dps gain from an extra global cooldown every so many seconds.

Assume a theoretical 1680 second fight with 50% haste, that means 840 ticks and UA has 8 ticks per cast.
For every tick we have gained upto that point, we received extra global cooldowns:

5 tick UA = 168 casts
6 tick UA = 140 casts - gained 28 GCDs
7 tick UA = 120 casts - gained another 20 GCDs
8 tick UA = 105 casts - gained another 15 GCDs

every extra tick you gain, you have to cast less. The dps gain from the previous extra tick does not go away and you get an extra dps gain each time you receive a new tick. However YES this dps gain becomes smaller and smaller for higher haste tresholds. And YES as stated by Revulva, these extra GCDs are really not that much of a dps gain and the whole discussion about it got quite out of hand.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the information you guys share. I was really curious about the Darkmoon Card: Hurricane... I saw people doing tests and trying to determine if it was worthwhile or not. I was just wondering if anyone has come to concrete conclusion about the trinket.

Worth getting one? or should we be using the heroic trinkets?

I personally don't seen anything else, sure the glyph got nerfed, but LB+DC still heals you (granted not for as much as before).

If you plan to drop LB for another talent, then 1 of 2 things is happening, either your healers started to over gear the content and they no longer need the help or you are struggling with threat.
I don't believe healers are at that stage yet, and threat should be a non issue.

So no I don't believe LB sub-spec is dead.
Ive only raided half of the Bosses in cata and i already Saw 3 bosses with abilities that need to be interrupted while you are not supposed to have melee dps attacking said boss. Being able to interrupting it by yourself w/o having to specifically move a melee there, is a much bigger help to your raid than LB.

Virulence is mandatory, and while LB healing is still good, you have to sacrifice 5 talent points and a number of Rune Strikes -> Runes to use it efficiently. Im just not convinced its worth it.

you mean something like Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft where you sacrifice basically nothing.

And saying you sacrificing RS -> Runes is as much of a reason as saying you wouldn't IBF when it costed RP because it would mean a loss of RSs

Yes, my bad the fight duration is ofc 840 ticks x2 sec = 1680 seconds and not 840 /2 =420 seconds. I took 840 ticks cause it's the smalles common multiple of 5,6 7 and 8.

My previous post was not really clear in hindsight, but what I tried to explain wasn't wrong. Anyway please let the topic rest, the dps gain is not worth 1.5 pages of posts.
