Hi guys ..

I got a serious problem with my Flametongue attacks ...

Tooltip says that each melee, it grants a fire attack ( the flametongue attack )

But I have a ratio like 60 % flametongue attack of my Melee

ex : 500 Melee / 300 flametongue

I use Flametongue each on my 2 weapons ( Arena weapons )
Cap Exp / Hit
Mastery : 17

The problem is : In WoL i can see Enhancement shams who have like the same ratio of melee and flametongue attack is like 20 % of their dps , my problem is that I have 12 % anyone knows how I can fix it ?

The main reason for Lavawalker is the movement speed increase, not the mastery. Especially in Cata, you move a *lot* in encounters.
Yes we do move a lot, but I would have to say, that if You are close to the next tick of immolate, that would be the one to change. But this guide is parcial to BiS performance I guess.

I'm sorry, maybe i missed it, but why glyph of corruption and not glyph of agony. Does glyph of corruption stack with nightfall now? Also, the meta gem requirements have been changed back by blizzard, chaotic requires 3 red gems again.

Ok questions galore..Ive been searching a number of differnt sites for Bear stats.
Nothing is concreate enough to say hey this is what we should be at..well for the time being anyways.

My stats at the moment with average gear equiped at 348.

Self buffed 131k health
strength 122
agil 3708
stam 6564
hit at 9.43%
expertise at 39
mastery 9.33
Crit @ 30.88%
dodge 30.18
armor 31855

So with all that being said in earlier post I found I was still missing at 8% and took my hit up and miss realitively 0%.
with my expertise at 39 I can only be parried by a lvl 87 boss 4.25 %
my mastery absorbs 37% of attacks. My spec is 35 feral 6 resto.

So questions .
Hit cap earlier said at 8% should I drop hit and up mastery or crit?
I'm not stacking stamina in Cata but went with avoidance instead ..Do I need more stamina?
Is my experise too high, should I focus more on dodge?
Should I drop some points in feral and take more in resto like reduced spell damage?

direct hits =10 dmg
blocked hits =6 dmg
D/P hits =0 dmg

D/P 25% =25hits=0 dmg= 1000HP
Block 45% =45hits=270 dmg= 730 HP
direct hits =30hits=300 dmg= 430 HP

D/P 20% =20hits=0 dmg= 1000HP
Block 60% =60hits=360 dmg= 640 HP
direct hits=20hits=200 dmg= 440 HP

the incoming damage is almost the same
but the damage spikes are not so high with mastery
correct me if I'm wrong

According to most of the simulator tests and other forums, it has been clearly stated that a Worgen would be the best Raiding Alliance race for the class of Mage.

But, playing it is a different story...

For those who have raided the current content, have you found this to be true with the current boss gear that is a avaliable, OR would a Draenei be the best class for Mage because of a lower amount of Hit that is available on the gear.

I appreciate input from Raiders and Non-Raiders alike.

Someone else asked this before but it wasn't answered and I would really appreciate a response... For frost DW, do I want to go to 8% melee hit and then stop? The chart shows 1 hit rating as being worth 1.22 dps "until cap." Is this the special attack cap or the white-hit cap? I am a DK tank who is occasionally asked to tank and I don't know much about melee dps, at the moment I have reforged away hit in order to get down to 8% hit. Is this the right thing to do to maximize dps?

I'm draenei, btw.

It's the SimC-BiSgear and I'm not sure if it's really "BiS".
The heart of Ignacious seems to be pretty good compared to the others, I tested the non-heroversion for a while at cho'gall and came to the conclusion that it takes below 3 secs to stack it to 5. In addition you can stack it while the hastebuff is active ( not like the heal version ).

According to this mastery is more valueable than crit but not as good as haste.
Thank you for your information on item values, it was helpful but I have a question. Is there a way to get the value of spell power from your SimC? As it is another stat altogether.

Based on my current thinking, I'm inclined to say crit will be BETTER with more haste because of the following: haste will increase the number of lava surges, however there will still be cases where LvB becomes available due to cooldown, not procs. Because of this, while the number of lava bursts per fight will increase, the number of lightning bolts, flame shock ticks, fulminations etc will increase higher (since haste doesn't affect lava burst's CD). As a result LvB will be less of our overall damage, so crit will be more useful. Note that this is all theory and not backed by numbers atm.

Stats/retation order....

I was wondering if the stats and rotation order are still the same from before the expansion ? Before you would get 8% hit then 26 expertise then put everything else back into hit rating till you get 27%. Rotation was BT>HS and RB when it's up. I was in a group with a fury war that was stacking crit and mastery and he seemed to be doing more dps. We were both about the same geared. Thanks for all the help......

Pardon me if this is idiotic or has already been debunked. I think it's fairly safe to assume that, given unlimited resources, attacking in Unholy Presence would significantly out-damage doing so in Frost Presence. That said, would it be advantageous to start fights in UP until we become resource starved, then switch to FP and proceed as normal?

Obviously this is in reference to DW.

I too will enjoy being less dependant on my pet for damage. It'll be interesting to see the numbers on this though. I can't recall how the scaling works out, but with strength and haste being devalued slightly by the pet and unholy might nerfs.. is it enough to open the door for mastery? Shadow will now be.. what 50% of our damage? Maybe more?

I'm wondering if with these notes they addressed the issue of Mastery not effecting the Shadow portion of Scourge Strike. Also still wondering about the Pet Crit Scaling situation.


I'm very excited of the prospect of Mastery becoming a great stat for us as well

Fury AoE was in now way weak. Frost DKs, Surv Hunters and Locks were a league of their own but they are getting nerfed, and once that went live I wouldn't have raised an eyebrow at Fury being on top instead. It's hard to notice that you're possibly doing 10% more than you should when someone else is doing 30% more than he should, but it's good to see they're addressing everything.

12 weeks without a Sigil of the Vengeful Heart drop and counting.
