I think the Darkmoon-Card, with the recent discovery of 100% Lightning Strike-procc-rate on HoW is still BiS.

Until fixed (if so) we'll probably never know if it is indeed a bug/glitch, or intended.


My recent logs show Lightning Strike as approximately 3-4% of my damage over the course of a 5-8 minute fight.
2nd Trinket i use is Heart of Rage, but will probably switch to licence to slay, due to magmaw weapon and t11-head, and the feeling that hit is somewhat rare for ret in 359 Gear.

On another note, i have a question:

Right now i got 26 Expertise WITHOUT Glyph of Seal of Truth, so i decided to use Glyph of Exorcism and Glyph of Crusader Strike.
Are there any values around for those glyphs?
Or could it probably be benefial to reforge all those expertise into something useful (crit in that case) and use Glyph of Seal of Truth?

Kind of a problem i did not encounter until yesterday :X

Mastery

I'm no good at maths myself, but from what i can gather with the FT nerf obviously fixing the double dipping and the 20% dmg reduction, mastery will lose alot of its appeal to enhance and agility and crit will become a more valuable stat based on the extra WF attack. I don't personally know how large the nerf is and it obviously needs to be tested on the PTR before any conclusions are drawn, whats do others think?

Thanks for the quick release.
Dmg output seems to be roughly equal to the dmg before (i guess this was also intended).

Looks like WF Weapon will replace Feral Spirit as third glyph (50dps+).

hey got an issue bout what weapons to use,i have cookie's tenderizer and soul blade,wanted to know if somone could advice me on which to equip on MH and which in OH..i thought that would be best to put cookie's on MH and soul on OH,it should gimme more overall dmg,but maybe i'm mistaken..i'm frost dk, ilev is 348 if this counts :P

What is the general opinion about 4set bonus VS blockcap. Currently using body and legs. switching out hands shoulders or head to T11 would decrease my overall avoidance towards block cap.
The set bonus sounds nice but so far i havent had any time where it felt like it it was needed with a longer goak in heroics. Sure it would be nice the first 20seconds of halfus, but tbh getting nonblocked hits should be a bigger problem.

# Yellow melee attacks and white main-hand attacks have an 8% chance to miss against boss level mobs. At 120 hit rating per 1% hit, it takes 960 hit rating to become hit soft-capped. For dual wielders, Nerves of Cold Steel reduces the chance to 5%, meaning you need 600 hit rating to then be soft-capped.

# White off-hand attacks have a 27% chance to miss against boss level mobs. At 120 hit rating per 1% hit, it takes 3240 hit rating to become hit hard-capped. Nerves of Cold Steel reduces the chance to 24%, meaning you need 2880 hit rating to then be hard-capped. Do note, it's not actually worth being hard-capped.

as a dranei, you need 120 hit rating less.

In my opinion, this would be the best choice, since the benefit you would gain from secondary stats that will be "freed up" by this glyph exceeds the benefit of any other glyphs retribution paladin is able to use.
This is covered clearly in OP.

Due to Runic Empowerment now stacking expertise EP value should increase by some portion as well , as we will be having faster rune regen rate for longer time than we used wich will definately result in some dps increase.

Hey, guys--I thought I'd solicit a bit of help from the experts. I seem to be missing something fairly simple, because i'm having a lot of difficulty breaking the 11-13k barrier. I'm doing about 11.5k on a raid dummy self-buffed. I understand people are pushing out more like 18k in raids, and I sort of doubt the additional 6k is all raid buffs. So . . . any suggestions? I'm kinda spinning my wheels a bit here.

I'll post a link to an armory that should be up to date. I'm still in heavy spirit gear to get to the 17% hit cap, so I'm a bit lower than I like in mastery/haste, but I don't think my gear is awful at this stage. I'm hit capped, I've redirected most of crit to haste/mastery.

In terms of rotation, I am dropping a spell haste totem, searing, mana, and whatever encounter specific earth totem seems reasonable. Flame shock maintained, LVB, LB, etc., until 7-9 stacks are up on lightning shield, then I ES. Refresh FS, searing as needed. I have removed unleased elements from my rotation for the most part. My ES tracks about the same as my FS damage on fights, or a bit lower, so I was wondering if that was an issue (maybe 6% or so).

I'm using flametongue weapon, of course.

I don't see significant lag for the most part. Maybe 250ish latency on raids with heavy graphics.

Decent computer, good connection . . . lousy player?

I would love some suggestions if you guys are kind enough to offer some.

(And thanks for the posts of wisdom, btw--long time reader!)

hi!

As an elemental shaman if i have my fire shock dot up and my lightning shield stacks are low, should i then not cast a shock? Or is it viable to use frost shock as the filler here?

Proposed change to Efflorescence

I think Efflorescence should be scrapped and re-written. Something unique and that offers much-needed raid utility:

Efflorescence

Empowers Wild Mushroom: Detonate to heal friendly targets within 10 yards of the Wild Mushroom for 2400 to 2600. Wild Mushroom: Detonate no longer deals damage to enemy targets.

Wild Mushroom now costs no mana and is instant cast. Wild Mushroom: Detonate costs 20% of base mana per mushroom detonated. The cooldown of Wild Mushroom: Detonate is increased by 10 seconds for each mushroom detonated beyond the first.
I felt a little jipped that resto druids didn't get any fun new 81/83/85 abilties (aside from stampeding roar, situationally). That, coupled with our much-complained-about lack of raid utility had me brainstorming, and I think this change fits the bill. It requires planning, but can be used in a pinch. It's not extraordinarily expensive when used with one Wild Mushroom, and it's not spammable.

As a bonus, it frees up those 2 talent points in our otherwise very bloated resto tree. Thoughts?
