Question on Bane of Havoc and Omnitron Defense System:

I noticed that the top destro locks in WoL get around 11% of their damage from BoH in this fight, but I was under the impression that damaged caused by putting BoH on the tron prior to it being shielded, will cause the shield to pop and wipe the raid. There are not a lot of adds in this fight (only poison blobs) so I am curious how BoH is being used.

So far it seems Crit has moved up the ladder ahead of expertise, haste has moved above hit. Though hit still needs to be capped, and with those stat weights the built in optimizer did get me to hit cap.

Mastery is still showing at the bottom of the pile because it doesn't effect our scourge strike as of now.

If they fix crit going to our pets I'd also assume crit will become even higher, crosses fingers.
Curious, what would Mastery's theoritcal statweight be is it was effected SS's shadow damage for the sake of observation?

Thank you for the quick response, I didnt mean to put rating in there, I wrote it hastily.

another question, does Mastery increase the duration of enrage or just the damage bonus? I assume only the latter

I hope I don't get castrated for this, but after tanking Baradin Hold my first time last night, I got to thinking - could a DK solo tank? AMS blocks the Meteor Slash debuff, so instead of tank swapping, one could simply turn the boss around towards the other group. Even if you're only absorbing every other Meteor Slash, you'd never get more than one stack. Would let the DK keep flat-out DPS/Threating (I always have to stop attacking the boss so I don't pull after a swap) as well as let another DPS in. I know, it's trivial, but it's got me in that "I'm a DK I can do awesome things neener neener" mind set.

You may safely BoH all trons except for Magmatron, whose shield might break and wipe the raid.

I haven't looked at Rawr, but the Jeweled Serpent is not a proc, it's a use. I suppose its value increases when you can time when you want to use it, i.e. burn phases.

I'm honestly not sure, what is the exact multiplier for the shadow portion of SS (with glyph) and I'll attempt to run some pencil and paper

however, this is just a guess based upon what I believe it would do, I think it would be just below haste

So.. I am one of those who love Marksmanship way more than Survival, not only because it's much more 'complicated' to play but because I never really liked those simplified rotations that includes less than a few buttons to play, but that's not that point here.

With the future buffs going to the MM spec thhat's currently posted is anyone able to calculate or evaluate if this spec is going to be strong enough to actually gain an advantage over the other specs?

I know it cannot be used but with my half raiding and heroic gear I sit on around 16k on a dummy test as survival and approximately 12,5 as marksmanship (Careful Aim was used in both specs). Sadly I do not have any information regarding MM dps in a raid environment so I cannot talk of pure experience, but I still believe the spec is too low according to statistics and just overall superstition.

Usually Aimed shot was approximately 5% of my damage and I suppose this will be a buff to around 10%. Chimera shot is, in all honesty, not that highly ranked on the recount meters as I wanted it to, but I assume this will make it alot harder hitting as its already hitting for 25k for me. If no other changes will happen to AS (glyph for example) I also assume this will increase the dps tremendiously as AS is a big factor of our DPS.

And as someone said earlier, the auto shot on movement is most likely not gonna matter alot for the better playing hunters as a auto-swing addon is easily achieved and easy to work with even if you must move to a point swiftly.

I must excuse myself for all this guessing as I am not a mathemathical genius as I see others are.

I did some testing today on Raiders Target Dummy to check the ICD of this trinket and here is what I got:
1200 secs = 52 procs, thats: 1 proc/23,07s. Min dmg: 4195 Max: 6724. Avg: 5513. Also got 2 crits.
Now how do I change proc dmg/chance data into EP value ?
And also, is the nature dmg of this trinket affected by Assasination talents?

Having raging blow hit for such high numbers isn't going to be a little unbalanced in pvp? If you can do a 90k selfbuffed crit on a dummy i'm pretty sure you can get at least 50k on a player even with high resilience. I doubt Blizzard will be letting us 2 shot people any soon

I am not sure why there is even discussions about imp frost pres vs endless winter, or virulence vs IBT...the spec below has it all...2/2 imp frost pres, 2/2 IBT, 3/3 virulence, but only 1/2 endless winter

forgive me for not linking it, and just pasting it, my phone is being painful trying to link it. Obviously one would swap out the 2hand talents for the DW ones as required based on what path you choose. But take a look and let me know if i missed anything, but if you are looking for raw dps, leaving your utility roles as FF, imp icy talons, and occasionally kicking or silencing, that spec should do the trick.

Forgot to mention this is of course for patch 4.0.6 assuming they notes go through as currently advertised.

I'm in bed on my phone and just remembered - the other night I was DPSing on my shaman as elemental while wearing Tear of Blood, and I'm positive I saw the +spirit proc. Well, that only procs from crit heals afaik. I definitely dont remember healing anyone either...Can healing stream stack Tsunami card up? If so, it would be a nice DPS trinket for hit cap so non spirit jewelry etc and other items would be good, as well as using reforges. Sorry if this has been addressed, having a hard time searching from my phone at the moment.

I have looked through many pages of thread replies in multiple forums and haven't found a definite answer so here goes.

Should SMF warriors go for the same stats as TG warriors? ie. 8% hit --> 26 expertise --> strength --> crit

I would think there would a little variation such as going for more hit on SMF for better rage generation or something. I'm currently stacking hit just a test and it works pretty well for me I think. Am I wrong in doing this? I've tried reforging/regemming for more crit/str as opposed to hit but it seemed to drop my dps.

Onto my second question, is SMF vs TG only a preference or is one superior to the other atm given available gear and such?

Edit: Also, I was wondering what people's thoughts were on the boe fist weapons that drop from BWD, haven't found a clear answer on that yet either.

I have a quick question. Now, I respecced into Mana Feed after reading the post. I haven't compared dps to my other spec, but why is it better to spec into Mana Feed than to spec into Doom and Gloom and then spec for Jinx?

As far as the changes to the PvE 4 set bonus, is it going to be worth getting now that they changed it?
