So this might of been covered i tried to search for it and im sorry if im repeating something. Is hit and exp rating not important anymore or am i losing it? I have looked over tones of tanks in general from top guilds to middle guilds and they all seem to be ignoring it. Like i said if its been covered im sorry and if you have a link ill go read myself but if someone could let me know, that would be great thank you.

You want to know why there is no meaningful discussion around here anymore? Because people like Deathwing make a post about doing some testing, which by the by is the point of these forums, "Welcome to the Elitist Jerks forums, a WoW discussion forum targeted towards topics regarding high-end raiding and analysis of game mechanics." and gets banned with the infraction of "do not beg for hand holding".

Last time I checked, and I've been a member here a spot longer than most of the Moderators that troll these forums nowadays, Deathwing was main of the main contributors in forwarding warrior DPS thinking and modeling for a long time. Furthermore if you had actually read any of the thread before the ban it was hardly hand holding. Now at least when I read the forum, I'm missing a key post. While I understand your problem with it and can quite easily find issues with all posts in every forum including my own, it nevertheless was integral to the flow of the thread.

This place is, was and should be a meritocracy, and yet the unfortunate definition is "ability and talent" not ability and no talent or vice versa. How, in all honesty, is a Moderator supposed to judge the worthiness of a post on a mechanic or a fight when their sum total raiding experience is less than or comparable my alt. Or hasn't seen even normal Nefarian, let alone heroic Maloriak to judge my post of "warrior AOE sucks, its a total detriment to my raiding and slotting on heavy AOE fights" which clearly would get an infraction despite being 100% accurate, and likely the most pressing issue facing high end warrior raiding currently. So I never made the post, and the forum and discussion was less helpful because of it.

To be clear, I'm not friends with Deathwing, and this isn't some crusade on his behalf, I'm just sad to see this place I lurked for years become a shell of its former self. Thor Kaubel may come and ban me for life, but my sentiments remain the same.

So what

So what if they half the PvP set str bonus for us, its only 125 str in total. It is still not worth using dungeon HC gear, hell almost not even worth using our tier 11 set due to sucky boni over arena gear. The str gained from 365 gear is truly amazing, and when you compare losing 1 stat on 4 pieces of gear, that gear would have to be darn fookin good to make up for the extra str you gain from using arena gear.

If rejuv was 40% of your healing those would still be poor points. Move those 2 points to something worth while lower in the tree.

While our mana problems will be easier in the patch, they aren't just going away. You have no points in furor, 2/3 in moonglow and are considering taking another out of Revitalize. It doesn't matter how much your spells heal for if you don't have any mana to cast them.
That's a given. My post was assuming that mana is not an issue post patch. Obviously, if mana is an issue, I would always advise putting points in regen talents until you hit the sweet spot of effective healing done and mana regen. Given a player's gear, I believe speccing into regen talents will become varied (lower geared players with almost all regen talents and higher geared players speccing into more effective healing talents).

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I didn't see it. I was wondering if hardcasting a pyroblast to keep the DoT up would be an over-all dps increase? I haven't done anything with Sim yet, but I've seen mixed results on a test dummy.

As far as warriors go, it is ignorable as long as you let your DPS know they have to be careful in the first seconds of the fight. Vengeance is such a powerful tool and survivability/healer mana such an issue that it makes secondary threat stats not worth it over mastery and avoidance stats.

With regards to the "and will now drop stars at a slightly faster rate"

I'm wondering what the purpose of this actually is. I assume the number of stars is still fixed at twenty, so the way I'm reading it; it won't be as big a damage increase to use it on multiple targets since we'll have a few more stars hitting on a single target. Presumably this will make the starsurge glyph more attractive than the wrath glyph in any situation.

I suppose I could be misinterpreting it, and we'll still only be getting 10 stars per target, and it's just some sort of buff for if you ever get stunned during starfall so you don't lose quite so much, though that seems bizzare. Still, thoughts?

Thanks!
The relative stat value of hit after cap is just zero, since getting anymore hit is meaningless, as it adds nothing (you are already at cap)

I do not know of haste before cap, but it is mentioned in this thread that it is more important than hit but still less than int.

I thought PvP gloves were still a significant DPS boost?

I was also thinking it might mean that we get more stars against a single target now. It is very unclear though.

From my understanding Blizzard doesn't want slam to be as good as BT or RB, it is a ability that costs no rage for us (when we use it) and shouldn't ever be prioritized over BT.

I'll also be trying to post some math on an estimated % of how much of a buff all of this will give us.

That's quite bothersome as a near-guaranteed MW proc was one of the only visible benefits of using SS considering it's not quite the damage-dealer it used to feel like. I'd say that it seems like a balance to counteract the increased proc'age from the intended 3rd WF hit, but being implemented on live makes me think otherwise. Ghost nerf?
