Is there official word on whether or not Unheeded Warning - Item - World of Warcraft has had its value increased with the upcoming changes to it? Currently, Tia's Grace is ranked higher, I'm wondering if this will be the case come the patch, still? I saw some math on it a few posts back, but I'm not sure if this was the final say on it or anything yet.
anyone do the numbers on this after patch yet? they are going for dirt cheap on my server.
I wanna know after patch 4.0.6 is mastery will be more desirable than Crit for demonology (( and maybe even haste ? ))
No real way of knowing it as of now, since noone except for Blizz knows how many of those changes and to what extent will make it into the actual patch.
Mastery is going up, but haste is not really going anywhere (maybe it goes a little down since we don't have a "free" 1.15 multiplier for it anymore). Considering that blues change the patchnotes almost every day in the last week, we can only wait to see what they are gonna implement in the real 4.0.6. One would think that their intention is to make all secondary stats (bar Hit i guess, you can't give secondary stats same value as hit before cap) even in value, as they stated many times. Will they succeed in that? The patch will tell.
If you are really interested in knowing what's going on on the PTRs, the simulationcraft gets updated pretty consistently with the "current" 4.0.6 changes.
What about the new alchemist stone on the ptr? Giving 351 STR and a permanent 194 mastery sounds quite a good deal, depending how good mastery will be in the end on live servers.
I dunno if I should get License to Slay. There are few fights, in which the stacks can run out, like Atramedes. I don't like Heart of Rage's proc, cuz there are so many situations, where the proc is lost or simply in the wrong moment. Therefore I like permanent statgains like DMC:H or the alchemist stone.
After spending 3 hours "playing" with simcraft I noticed some interesting details, i have the version from cata launch. So to use a fair test subject I used my own toons info (Lyck@illidan) to test the simcraft numbers against numbers I had seen in raid. The biggest thing i noticed once i started looking into the code is that the pet used is the felhunter and not the succubus, the succubus has been shown to be a greater dps gain and therefore using the felhunter would not be ideal to optimizing your dps. So my changes included swapping the pet to the Succubus, changing the soul burn to Shadow_bolt and demon soul target to succubus, this was tried with both Drain Life as the filler and Shadow bolt as a filler and netted a 3k dps increase on simcrafts numbers for me. I noticed that using the Drain Life filler and Shadow Bolt only upon using demon soul according to simcraft was only a 100dps loss, but in a raid enviroment, I would argue that with the ability to interrupt DL after it has ticked and therefore caused damage it would be the optimal option for movement heavy fights.
Apperantly holy conviction is broken (missleading tooltip) as the 9% extra healing is only affecting heals on yourself.
With that in mind I think I'm going with this specc: WoW Talent Calculator - Sigrie.
Why do you put 2/2 in EJ but only 2/3 in Speed of Light? Otherwise it should be better, since 2/2 EJ only provides a small healing increase while Speed of Light gives you more Runspeed and - the real important part of the talent - reduces the HR-CD by additional 10s. For me, this beats the small healing increase by 2 points in EJ by far.
