I've done 4400 (recount) dps on patchwerk in 10 man with a time of 3:01, the usual IT,PS,SS,BS,BS,UB, keeping UB up, DC's never going over RP cap, SS glyph, IT glyph, 4pc t7 bonus. I was wondering what I could do to maximize my dps regarding gargoyle and AotD.

Currently how I would use them is wait for fallen crusader proc AND darkmoon card proc at the same time, pop Bloodfury and insane strength potion, THEN pop gargoyle, wait for the right time to 3xSS then ERW dump, 3xSS again without running our of RP for gargoyle. Then I'd do the same later in the fight for AotD when blood fury/pot is off cooldown (without ERW of course)

I don't know how exactly the ghouls from aotd work, like wether they take your haste/str/AP/crit or they have their own thats the same everytime. So I'm asking whats the optimum way to use consumables, and which consumables (insane str potion VS potion of speed) with which cooldowns (gargoyle/aotd). And how could I use bloodlust to the best of my advantage?

Yeah, this is news to me as well. I am assuming I can cast it on myself as well. Makes all those times I searched for a mob for my ghoul to leap towards to catch up to me pretty silly.

I've followed this thread for the past month, and unfortunately, Frostraiding currently is not as good as it was towards the beginning of BC. They have taken out the "Binary"(unpartially resistable) frostbolts and the extra 3% "ghost" hit, its just not as competetive or buffed as Fire, Arcane or Fire/Frost. It was really good when you 1st started to raid. you didnt have to get as much hit as anyone, you had the Frozen Shadowweave, and you did have things like (800 resisted) in the combat log. And due to poor scaling the Deep Frost spec in BC literally just got out performed.

Will I keep Pveing as Frost? I leveled Frost, and once 70 I eventually respecced to the PVE frost( water ele and meditation..it was honestly....too much mana). Then, when Icy Veins came out, I specced to Arcane/Frost (40/0/21) which included rotations of 3 Arc Blasts ,3 Frostbolts, and had cold snap and icy veins and 225% frostcrits. It was even better after getting 2/5 t5. This was the best frost damage spec I had ever played ...even since now.

Once Lich King talents came out, they had destroyed Arcane/Frost 40/0/21 by:
1. Changing Arcane Blast drastically.... into crap( the 1st change, not the 2nd one)
2. Moving the talent in arcane 'Spell Power" to a tier 10 talent (You really cant get it as frost...anymore)
3. Changing the ghost hit or unpartially resistable frostbolts (I forget if they had, yet but they will anyways).
4. Nerfing 2/5 T5 Tirisfall Regalia ( from +20% on Arc Blast ----->>> to a mere +5%).

After this change the only option at the time was Arcane pve for Illidan... Then, LK I went back to leveing as pve frost. Ive seen myself in 25m Nax after just turning 80 a few days ago, and I'm really only passing up the bad players in full epics.

This just begs the following questions: Does Frost need to be Fixxed? ...it just really needs a serious drastic change.
Perma W/E (and the ability to name it)? Brain Freeze change? Deep Freeze for PVE? End game Scaling? Viable Hybrid Specs? (Arcane/Frost? Frost/Fire? (not to be confused with Fire/Frost) Arcane/Fire)
Yes to all.

But COC??? Really? I don't think so. The move is so similar to Dragons breath and its history in the use of grinding, aoeing, and pvp . It's just not a PVE move and it only has an 8 yrd range. You should not even be within 25 yrds of a boss due do the larger threat threshold.

Why buff up an age old frost spell thats not used in pve? That takes no effort at all. They could just add a new frost spell. It's not hard.

Cap vs Level 82 mob = 6% Hit = 196.74 HitRating
Cap vs Level 83 mob = 8% Hit = 262.32 HitRating (Raid Bosses)


Expertise Rating
1 ExpertiseRating = 0.030% reduction in dodge & parry chance
32.79 ExpertiseRating = 1% reduction in dodge & parry chance

Cap vs Level 80 mob = 5%(Dodge) / ?%(Parry) = 163.95 / ? ExpertiseRating
Cap vs Level 81 mob = 5.5%(Dodge) / ?%(Parry) = 180.34 / ? ExpertiseRating
Cap vs Level 82 mob = 6%(Dodge) / ?%(Parry) = 196.74 / ? ExpertiseRating
Cap vs Level 83 mob = 6.5%(Dodge) / 15%(Parry) = 213.13 / 491.85 ExpertiseRating (Raid Bosses)

The 10 Expertise we get from Primal Precision is equivalent to 81.975 ExpertiseRating so subtract that from the above figures if you have that talent.

I picked up [Wraith Strike] in 25 man the other day and couldn't help myself. I had to try boomkin, went to EJ to find out what not to do and I gotta say, very successful.
