The import on Roguething isn't working as far as I know, and Caffeine's UI isn't compatible with the addon.
So you have to manually enter your gear at the moment. Roguething seems to be completely unusable at the moment though, so your only option is Caffeine's.

That being said, I've modified the Shadowcraft Tools to work with Caffeine's import function (at least it works for me, no other test subjects so far), and am currently trying to decide what the best option to publish is, since a big part of it is still cjo20's original addon.

I won't claim to be a great math girl, but I believe you're counting the JC bonus twice.

BS gives you two extra sockets. Without JC, this accounts for a 120 stam bonus.

With JC, you get an additional 82 stamina from those two sockets. You're counting the full 101, plus a bonus for the other sockets you're leaving alone - this is, I believe, where the mathematical fallacy lies. You would have had those other gems regardless of whether you had BS or JC; no additional bonus should be calculated for them, as the bonus has already appeared in the two extra sockets and the 101 gems you put in them.

There is no inherent bonus or synergy from JC having those particular sockets to put the 101 gems in; had you not had JC, they would have been home to normal gems anyway, so in essence you're still "replacing" them with the JC gems. So the JC bonus remains 123 stam (for replacing three normal stam gems, whether in the new sockets or not) and the blacksmith bonus 120 (for the two extra slots).

I feel compelled to add that this is if you prefer to stack stam, but that the bonuses play out similarly for agi.

With Blacksmithing, 2 additional sockets are added to your armor not included before, so 202 stamina is knocked off, leaving 101 which is a 41 point increase from 60 stamina.

Without JC, with BS alone, you would have +300 stamina for 3 regular sockets and +2 Sockets from BS

If you have JC as a BS, you would gain 2 sockets to place your 101 gems into leaving the 2 OTHER sockets that inside the gear already alone.

(Example)

Chest has 2 sockets - If you didn't have BS, you would place 2 101 stam into it instead of +60.

Now you have BS, Those 2x 60 gems are left alone and you place 101x2 gems into Bracer and gloves. Understand? Does this make sense?

It took me a lot of time to think of how to explain this and probably requires a lot of thought before an intelligent response could happen.

Reading the above posts, I realize that Alchemy has a close tie with BS and JC but, I think as gear progressively gets better as well, since Heroic Putricide gear is considered, the Alch Trinket probably isn't as reliable as JC / BS combo.
Your logic is odd... Look at it like this:

Without professions, assume you have 10 sockets on your gear in total. That's 600 stamina if you gem stamina. Now if you add blacksmithing, you can add 2 more sockets for 120 stamina. Total at this stage: 720 stamina. If you now add jewelcrafting you can change 3 of your 60 sta gems into 101 sta gems. Added gain: 3 * 41 = 123 stamina.

So the total is now 843 stamina, a net gain of 243 from these 2 professions. You double-counted the blacksmithing benefits, yielding the inflated number.

Hi everyone.

Everyday i come here to read about everything that is new on Warlocks.
I already spended a lot of Gold trying to find the best way and choose the best stats.

First of all
Here is my char: Stééph Destro Warlock @ Warsong

Ok, i was reforging till the hit cap, and than full on crit.
Unbuffed i was about: ~18.5%Crit, ~8.7%Haste, and of course hit capped.
And i was with this trinkets: Stump of Time and Bell of Enraging Resonance.

And yesterday got a "sweet problem", i was raiding on Valiona and Theralion and i was lucky to get Theralion's Mirror.
So this changed my stats to: ~15.95%Crit, 9.57%Haste and hit capped.
And this trinkets: Stump of Time and Theralion's Mirror

But i know that Theralion's Mirror and Bell of Enraging Resonance are "the best" trinkets for Destro Warlocks.

I want a little help in witch stats i should go now. Should i replace Stump of Time with Bell of Enraging Resonance?
Next week i'll be able to get the Shadowflame Leggings, that means more hit.
This week i should stay with Stump of Time and Theralion's Mirror and choosing for haste or crit?

I don't know if this helps, but here is a link of tuesday with me playing with full crit and trinkets Stump of Time and Bell of Enraging Resonance:
Link to World of Logs
I got Incineratus after Magmaw's fight.

Thanks 4 the help, and sorry about my english.

Lets use your example, again with BS + JC vs BS+ LW

Total stamina gain from BS+ LW= 4 regular sockets + 195= 240 +195= 435
Total Stamina gain from JC+ BS= 3 JC sockets, 1 regular socket= 303 + 60 = 363, the missing stamina here is the relevant enchant on bracers.

I am still not getting the picture here.

edit: fixed the discrepancy in my math

OK, I'll buy that.

I couldn't figure out where I was going wrong, I think I understand now.

Hey guys,

Been lurking around for awhile and recent patch notes have got me thinking a few things, with the slam buff being 45% (ish) of a damage increase what would this do to SMF? I've always been TG but want to go SMF the damage difference just sways me each time. I know HS has been nerfed so SMF takes a bigger net loss over TG and the RB buff doesnt exactly favour SMF but slam as SMF double hits and with the logical chance of having more Flurry and Enrage uptime what difference would be between the two then?

Any got any numbers on this? Would be gratefull thanks!

I am having a hard time understanding stat prioritization for bears right now. I am new to bear, but I tanked as a pally in BC and a war in wrath, and it was pretty much assumed that stam is god. Now as a bear it seems like at a point in stam (what is being referred to as stam soft cap?) agility begins to come out as a stronger stat. This is because of veng and savage defense? Any way what is the stam soft cap? How/does it change per boss or per healing setup? And is there a surefire way that I dont have to spread sheet to see when/if crit becomes more important than mastery, and when/if mastery or crit becomes more important than dodge. I am to the point right now where I have ~35% dodge raid buffed and it seems like I am getting hit pretty hard by DRs, so I wonder if instead of reforging for an extra couple tenths of a % of dodge if it would be more useful in crit or mastery.

Whew, long question. I just feel a little lost on how bear seems to be working now.

Sacred Duty

Iv been having problems with sacred duty in the protection tree. It doesnt seem to proc, or atleast, there is no indication that it does, i.e. no in game buff icon or highlighted ability. Has anyone else experienced this?

# Windfury Weapon now triggers 3 extra attacks, up from 2.

So what do you think about glyphing WF over SS in the upcoming patch? Would it worth it?

I have simulated an Affliction profile that casts only Bane of Doom and Haunt. And than only casting Bane of Doom.

And in 4.0.3-25 it seems that Bane of Doom don't get the +20% oder +23% (with glyph) from Haunt. On Live Servers it gets that Bonus.

I know that Bane of Doom dont profit from haste, but with that 23% more Dmg with Haunt i am asking me that BoD is close to BoA or maybe even better.
