I was just wondering by how much the EP value of Left of Rajh was going to change with the added chance to its proc rate mentioned in the blue posts.
An increased proc rate really doesn't matter all that much, because it's uptime is restricted by the ICD, not the proc %. It may come up a little bit faster, making it slightly better, but it is a trivial difference that won't put it ahead of any trinkets that it isn't ahead of already.
In the absense of "official" numbers from Aldriana, I modelled the changes currently on the PTR:
In my model Main Gauche attacks proc's Combat Potency like it is described in the patch notes. I assumed the observations of Main Gauche not proc'ing Combat Potency on PTR is the result of a bug which will eventually be fixed.
These are the new EP values I get in heroic t11 gear
Do you have updated numbers for MH and OH dps? I have to imagine that the new mastery changes the values of both (MH going up and OH going down would be my prediction)
So here's a simple question: spreadsheets say I should be doing about 33% more damage then I ever am. Top hunters in the top guilds are doing 33% more damage than I ever am.
I follow the theorycraft, have all the buffs, do my lock and load procs just like recommended, etc., so why am I so far behind those numbers? And are there any videos or anything where I can see what those to hunters are doing in detail to try and figure out what the difference between us is?
(For the record, I'm usually 3rd-4th on the meters in my guild's 25 man raids, but since my class is OP should I be doing way more? Some sources certainly say so! Like, uh, my guild leader. Answers to this question may greatly affect my sitting time when we start in on heroics next week)
The exact order for arcane depends on your specific gear. But for example with BiS Preraid blue gear and BiS ilvl 359 epic gear, here are the scaling factors as given by the latest version of simcraft:
Thank you for posting this - I've been neglecting mastery in favor of all other stats... Guess I should try this.
What are the stat caps for an arcane mage? I think I read the soft cap for haste as a frost mage was something like 33%? At what point does it become better to start stacking mastery over haste? If anyone has the cap info on all the stats, that'd be wonderful info to have!! TIA!
Posting a recount would help so we could see what you're doing.
If speced for Careful Aim, your top 3 abilities should be Explosive (35-40%), Cobra (30-35%) and way below that, Auto Shot (12-15%). A BD spec would probably have less Cobra contribution and more damage from the pet.
Rikafirst, does your guild post logs? If not you should try making some yourself (Recount is ok, but it's easier to study the details after the fights with World of Logs or something similar). Look at the logs and compare shot counts, buff timing, things of that nature. It may help you track down where the discrepancy is.
Hello everyone and thank you for the response(s). I have a question regarding haste. I have scoured pretty much everything and cannot find the answer so my apologies if it is indeed out there somewhere.
As I understand it, once you are hit capped, haste becomes the next SECONDARY stat (i.e., haste, crit, mastery), to reforge on items. Is there a certain point where crit/mastery become more valuable than haste? I understand with resto shamans that after you hit the first soft cap, you start moving towards crit (haste to get the extra tick). Is there a thresh hold like this for elem shamans or is it a matter of playstyle?
Thank you again for answering this question and my apologies if it is not as succinct as it could be.
Will the changes to Unheeded Warning in the upcoming patch make it viable for Assassination rogues?
If it increases weapon damage by 680 (almost double the BiS nonepic weapons) will this also affect the damage done by Mutilate and Backstab when proc'd as they are buffed by a % of weapon damage?
Ah, good point, I missed that. I wonder if that's a bug or intended.
Still, 8% shouldn't have that big an impact, and indeed when I removed the CoE multiplier, mastery got closer to crit, but nowhere near as close as for Redcape. I'll keep digging and run with some other gear sets too.
My guess is that it is a bug, though we will have to wait for conformation from a blue poster before making assumptions.
Ok so I was doing some looking around recently and noticed that all the high end guild frost DK's were using 2 Mace of Acrid Death - Item - World of Warcraft
and was wondering if those are better than the 2 you have? (reforging the parry to crit)
Am currently using 2 Soul Blades and my guild is starting to down heroics and were trying maloriak soon so just seeing for sure if i should go in for a couple of them or not
