OKay I know this has nothing to do with this topic but I can't post yet and I'm wondering if someone can start a thread up for me on a good druid ui I need one and i've been looking and can't find one I'm boomkin and resto. It would be much appreciated ty
Hi all, Have a qns to ask. I have tried using FD to do some tests
1. Hurricane + Fluid Death
2. Fluid Death + Essence of the Cyclone
3. Hurricane + Essence of the Cyclone
Having Hit capped and haste around 1.64 Cobra cast.
I seem to have better result using the first combi (different by 100-120dps using FD). However I have also checked on some forum and website mentioning that essence of the cyclone is consider better. Now I am confuse if I should use it.
Any advise would be good I am trying to see if I can push the dps some more.
Forgive me if I'm a bit behind, but I'm trying to figure out why we would continue hit stacking given the incredible nerf to HS? I mean wasn't the whole point of stacking hit to be rage-gorged and have near non-stop HS and incite? Why would we put all that rating into something that's nerfed? Wouldn't it be more useful to focus on empowering our most hard hitting abilities with critical/mastery?
Also since SMF should be raid viable at worst, I'd like to think DMC Hurricane be more effective ....
Where did you see anyone saying anything about hit stacking? It seems pretty well agreed that the stat weights will be Crit > Mastery > Hit > haste
Some tiny differences that could possibly be added is to use Berserker Rage in conjunction with Deathwish...
I do not understand at ALL why you would want to do this. Berserker Rage is basically a way to gain enrage and enable the use of Raging Blow, when you have no other options. Deathwish IS an enrage, and therefore allows the use of Raging Blow any way. By using Berserker Rage during DW, I would think you gain NOTHING.
Basically, assn rogues won't be getting Dark Intent. However, in response to your question on hunters, it is actually possible that you will be a better choice.
Edit: I did notice that the author said they used SimCraft to model it. There has been a recent discussion on the validity for SC and rogues. Not sure if this will effect it or not.
Just a warning. that post on MMO is horrible for DI priorities. Putting SV hunters so low. Best dps choices are Aff Lock > Spriest > SV Hunter > UH DK > Anything else. Best Healer choices are Resto druids if anyone uses these anymore.
There's some discussion about that in the last two pages of the Holy thread. In a nut shell, the argument goes:
- The talents you give up to take AA aren't very important
- Smiting to a 5 stack of Evangelism and then popping AA is a minor net mana loss and a minor HPS loss over time, but:
-- it allows you to give up healing time in low damage phases to have 15% increased HPS in high damage phases
-- it adds a tiny bit of dps
Then you weigh the importance of that flexibility against what you lose by speccing it. It's a personal preference thing, since the value of flexibility can't be accurately measured.
Perhaps I'm glancing over something here, but without Atonement, it seems like Smiting would be a bit wasteful, even if it does give you a burst later on. Especially given many Disc priests I've talked to (no numbers to back this, only word of mouth, I apologize) AA isn't all that wonderful, despite what it reads on the label. Holy isn't exactly my cup of tea, but just at a glance it looks like AA without Atonement is going to be pressuring Holy priests to try to add more damage rather than focus on healing. I could be reading this entirely wrong, however. Just my 2c.
