I am sitting at 5.22% haste and 13.90% hit and I had absolutely no rage problems, and that is without windfury, raid damage etc. etc.
Wouldn't crit be valued more after patch due to the rotation change being more rage stable, instead of haste/hit for white attacks? Hell we could sit at 8% hit and not worry too much.

And how exactly did you manage to replace the off-gcd Heroic Strike with a Slam proc?
As far as I know we always used slam procs in our free gcd which looked like: BT - RB - BT - Free GCD. With enough hit and proper rage management you could weave in Heroic Strikes, making it look like: BT HS - RB - BT HS - Free GCD.
Or do you mean that you delayed the normal rotation for a slam proc and thus using the slam as fast as possible?
