At the moment I have geared in such a way that my priority has been:

hit>int>mastery>crit>haste

I did so at the advice of maxdps.com

However I seen here that people suggested:

hit>int>crit=haste>mastery

Which of the two is correct, and should I expect Mastery to take a high priority in the upcoming patch?

I feel as if I can add some insight to a few points addressed in this thread:
Glyph of Arcane Power may still be a known issue, but a macro can work if you order it appropriately such as darqueseid had said:

#showtooltip
/cast Arcane Power
/cast Mirror Image
/use Mana Gem
/use Trinket (or Lifeblood)*

*only lifeblood OR an on use trinket may be used in the same macro (lifeblood shares trinket CD)

This is functional all the time unless you use it before your previous GCD has expired. It is almost not even worth having Mirror Image in this macro, however, because it minimally increases dps and may be better used as an aggro break.

As for stat priorities, I do not run any calculators but I have found that crit is underweighted. With arcane being so expensive with regard to mana it made intuitive sense to me that each shot should get as much bang for its buck as possible. I stack crit and mastery (with Int being priority of course) with the logic that casting often drops mana too quickly, while casting strong allows more dmg/mana. It should be noted that MoE does only return the 30% base mana from AB regardless of stack (366 mana), but this can add up over longer encounters.

I realise that being able to cast more frequently allows higher dps esp. during a burn phase but this can be achieved using TW, bringing each blast near GCD regardless of haste and with time enough to evo with TW on (basically negating the effect of haste during this burn phase). The Hurricane weapon enchant and Lifeblood help make up for lack of haste.

The result is ABs hitting for 15-90k and dps ranging from 22-28k while using the above macro (w/o TW). Overall dsp ranges 12-17k. These figures are based off my recount reports from heroic runs. I have not compared these figures to stacking haste, but if somebody could provide insight to this it would be appreciated.

Also, I feel AM are useless. I break AB stacks with ABar exclusively because it deals more dmg and takes less time. This is harder on mana, yes, but by neglecting to use AM you can spend 4 talent points elsewhere. Perhaps it would be more effective to break stacks with AM and only allow 1 missle to shoot before continuing to cast AB, which is something I will look into.

Do not follow Rawr, it's horribly out of date. But even when it's up-to-date, you need to pay attention to what it's modelling and how. Rawr has weights you can allocate to threat and survivability, and with current tank thinking you'd be weighting threat (and thus hit and to a lesser degree expertise) rather close to zero. You seem to be understanding the previous posts, in that threat stats are not a big deal at the moment (outside of niche situations, but mostly that is a problem for OTs who are required to pick up and kite adds and such). Missing a SotR is not a large concern, a single one will not hurt you mid-fight and at the beginning you should be rocking misdirects anyway, it does not consume HP so it just pushes the threat gain back a single GCD.

The short consensus is don't worry about hit/exp (some tanks actively reforge when they incidentally come up), although you still likely want to use GoSoT since that's a huge chunk of itemization. You can start stacking mastery right off the bat, although it's only "better" for overall damage reduction once dodge/parry are at ~952 rating (although one could argue stacking sooner to smooth out damage more is still better). You might hit a point where you want Stam instead of more mastery even before full Combat Table Coverage, but from what I've seen from other tanks that's normally not the case until hardmodes.

DMC: Hurricane

I can confirm that DMC: Hurricane is an outstanding trinket. Over a 5 minute span on the raiding dummy on live, the nature proc alone accounted for just over 3.9% of total damage. Has anyone done testing to evaluate this trinket on the PTR? My concern is the fix on SoC might have an impact. Also curious to see how one would model a comparison between DMC: Hurricane and Impatience of Youth, considering the buff to mastery.

I tried the "Post 4.0.6" rotation (Replacing heroic strike with slam procs, and only using HS at times of high rage) and it is extremely stable with very good dps on dummy. sustained 12k dps over 6.5 million HP.
I am sitting at 5.22% haste and 13.90% hit and I had absolutely no rage problems, and that is without windfury, raid damage etc. etc.

Wouldn't crit be valued more after patch due to the rotation change being more rage stable, instead of haste/hit for white attacks? Hell we could sit at 8% hit and not worry too much.

And how exactly did you manage to replace the off-gcd Heroic Strike with a Slam proc?
As far as I know we always used slam procs in our free gcd which looked like: BT - RB - BT - Free GCD. With enough hit and proper rage management you could weave in Heroic Strikes, making it look like: BT HS - RB - BT HS - Free GCD.

Or do you mean that you delayed the normal rotation for a slam proc and thus using the slam as fast as possible?

What is your opinion about using Power Torrent instead of Heartsong as resto in 25 man raids?

Yes. Each HoW proccing the trinket was a bug and this is fixed on the ptr as stated before in this thread.

Power Torrent vs. Hurricane as an Affliction Warlock? A friend needs to know as he believes that haste is their best stat and will be a DPS increase, is one a clear winner or is there still debate?
