The on use Str, and Agi, procs for the Tol Barad trinkets are current underbudget which causes them to lose a lot of value vs other 359 ilvl trinkets. As far as I know this issue hasn't been addressed on the PTR which means it probably won't make it into the next patch. Hopefully Blizzard recognizes this issue at some point and buffs the trinkets.
Edit: Took out the DMC: Hurricane part since someone covered it much better than I did.
Yes, but what about the non-epic trinkets? Will Impatience of Youth be better of them when 4.0.6 comes?

Also curious to see how one would model a comparison between DMC: Hurricane and Impatience of Youth, considering the buff to mastery.
I'd like an overall comparison wihich showed the Top 10 or so trinkets, epic & non-epic. I know that the OP rules out BiS, but there is also mentioned the discussion of the sometimes (very) different trinket mechanics.
A proper weighting akin to some other classes' topics, would be of great help when deciding what is and what is not an upgrade in that slot.
That's not really a bug, the last tick happens just before the channeling ends, so if you press MF again too early you will clip the last tick. I always get 3 ticks if I wait for the channel to end before casting MF again, and I don't use a nochanneling macro as it doesn't works anyway.
I guess it's because some kind of server lagg that cause the debuff on your target to be delayed from the channeling, and if you don't wait for the debuff to fade to recast MF even if the channeling is over, it will clip the last tick.
In case where you suffer from pushback I suppose you will always loose the last tick.
Test it, trust me.
This has been confirmed on shadowpriest.com as well by many people.
- No points in Improved Fire Blast were taken. This means you'll need to be within 30 yards to use Impact, which is the base Fire Blast range. Whether players deem this range to be unacceptably low for AOE fights is highly subjective. If you take one point from Netherwind Presence to place into Improved Fire Blast, you'll suffer a minor (~1%) DPS loss. Alternatively, you could drop points from Cauterize instead. But before you consider dropping Cauterize, make sure you're mindful of just how useful / powerful that talent can be.
May I ask why you say nothing about the +4/+8% crit chance this talent also gives? I use it as much as possible and it triggers Pyroblast a lot because of the high crit chance..
We got one of the best guilds on our server and the fire mages also skip this talent, i really ask meself why! Could anyone please explain
What I have read it is far more important to be hit and expertise capped in a mastery focused approach than to the avoidance focused? Still I see both Killstrike and Vargoth with almost no hit or exp at all. Is this a personal choice that doesn't make that big difference to survivability? Or (as I suspect) is that also debatable? I usually have to interrupt stuff so then it is less of a choice but for the ones that can choose.
Just want to clarify on the synapse springs that it is 480str for 10 secs with a 1 min CD, not 2min? This would equate to our 80 stat bonus with the profession.
Do paladins need another single target filler? I'm confused at Blizz's stance on aoe abilities in single target rotations.. thus the change to divine storm to take it out, yet we get holy wrath as a filler instead? Whilst this may not be a problem with just a raid boss, when you are dealing with CC on trash pulls or heroics, if you cant break CC because people arent geared enough to pull it all then our dps lacks not being able to hit several abilities. this also affects tanks as well in holding threat whist not breaking other CC.
What would the possibilty of HoW becoming this filler on its current cooldown, but to behave like drain soul, doing xtimes more damage when target is under 20%
Q: BoD vs BoA during heroism/bloodlust for Destruction
I searched this thread, and the destro compendium, but couldn't find an answer to this question:
During heroism/bloodlust, aren't some three haste-powered BoA way better dps than one haste-resistant BoD, even for Destro-Locks? You'll need those 3 gcd for applying them, but'll take advantage of a lot of haste otherwisely unused.
I don't have the tools and would lack the skill to use them to answer this myself, so some advice would be highly appreciated.
I checked both of you on armory, and if I do some simple math of adding mastery+dodge+parry rating Killstrike has 5715 and Vargoth has 5438. This difference is already achieved by the mastery trinket, it's not really a huge difference. However, 277 mastery rating already gives 9,66% bigger shield.
Rating - percentage (I'm rounding while typing or else it looks so messy):
177 dodge rating = 1% dodge
177 parry rating = 1% parry
29 mastery rating = 1% shield
40% shield == 1147 rating == 6.48% avoidance.
So Crushl, while I also favour avoidance like you do, your comparison of 40% shield with 10%-15% avoidance is far from correct.
i feel its also worth noting that avoidance stats have diminishing returns while mastery does not, so mastery gains value in terms of rating as you get more avoidance.
even past that, every DK tank should be using sword shattering, not just avoidance enthusiasts. and that crushl also did not note differences in hit/exp ratings which subtract from dodge+parry+mastery
Fathom Lord Kerathress will be interesting to try out after the patch, although I think it won't be possible to bring down the healer fast enough with abit higher dps anyway.
He's already killable
