I apologize if this has already been answered or if it is a stupid question.
Can anyone tell me if Feint resets the swing timer? I am using the major glyph [Glyph of Feint] so that my Feint is free AoE damage reduction however, I am concerned that it may still contribute to DPS reduction if it costs more than just a GCD. Does anyone have insight on this?
Someone know the new EP value of [Unheeded Warning] since the last change ? ("Your melee attacks have a chance to increase your weapon damage by 680 for 10 seconds").
I haven't seen any numbers from people testing the new version of [Unheeded Warning] however, the new version will be much better for Combat since most of the damage generated by Combat Rogues comes from attacks modified by Weapon Damage. As for Assassination, about 60% of the damage done is not modified by Weapon Damage which means the value of this trinket will still likely be lower than the best 346 trinkets.
Quick Question about the haste caps. The chart says to aim for 515.4 Haste rating to get to 12.5% for renew....which according to the math and my character sheet is 4% Haste. This + 3% from talents + 5% from raid = 12%
Where is the other .5% coming from to gain the extra renew tick? What am I missing?
From testing the number works and does give 5 ticks, im just confused by the math I guess.
As previously posted by Elerion, the current calculation for Haste is based on the following.
1 + [Percentage Shown on the Character Sheet]
1 + 0.03 (3/3 Darkness)
1 + 0.01 (Goblin!)
1 + [Raidbuff 5% haste if present]
1 + [Any other %-haste modifier]
1 + Total Haste
What you do need to remember however is that the talent Darkness does not provide a baseline of 3% haste, instead the 3% increase is applied to the percentage as shown on the character sheet. Come patch 4.0.6 haste is displayed in full on the character pane taking into account raid buffs and talents.
My gut feeling is that the 30 Stam isn't going to make a huge difference, and that since it doesn't affect your actual DPS its pretty marginal, but there doesn't seem to be a Mastery and Crit gem. For Arcane the +20 Spirit would actually slightly increase your DPS because of the Mastery effect, but for Fire or Ice.
Has anyone else come to this juncture of slotting blue gems? What direction have you taken it?
I hate to make such a request, but would it be possible if a normal BiS list could be setup?
I realise you're still busy speculating around the Heroic BiS, so don't worry too much, but it would be nice.
Some of us don't have the groups capable of clearing the normal raids let alone the heroic raids
Could someone else try this gear setup for 4.0.6, I'm getting 62 dps over the one currently in use, PTR. 450s fight, 10000 iterations, vary length 20%, 4.0.3-27 build.
Current destruction value 27362, value obtained by my build in that gear 27533, value obtained by my gear set, 27595.

using the "simc-403-30-win32" i also get higher numbers with dakalro's gear setup then the 372_PTR setup. Also i habe higher numbers like him then the current destruction value on the first page.
searching through the detailed wiki i found a small error. It counts only 1 volcanitc potion per fight, should be 2. I guess because of the early heroism in Zakalwe's setup the second volcanic potion with the action "actions+=/volcanic_potion,if=buff.bloodlust.react|!in_combat" can not occur.
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone has retested their DPS with Glyph Of Living Bomb vs Glyph of Pyroblast. I was looking at my logs for a few kills last night seeing how I did and I noticed that my Living Bomb Damage is much higher than my Pyroblast! damage. I am glyped for Molten Armor, Fireball and Pyroblast based on the main post, but it seems to me that Living Bomb would be better.
The link below is for one of our Chimaeron kill which is a pretty straight up fight and I have Living Bomb doing 50% more damage than Pyroblast! The other attempts in my logs show the same basic pattern. I am not sure why it shows so many misses since I am hit capped.
With the upcomming changes to us frosties, what are your opinions on 2h frost being close to, equal with or above the 2h unholy and dw frost? +12% talented melee dmg across the board is nice, so would that be close to a 10-12% dps increase?
+12% to autoattcks, +12% to obliterate, +12% to the physical portion of Frost Strike, +12% dmg to blood strike... seems to be a good overall buff. With a slow weapon, and normalized RP gain via MotFW, we could be seeing 50-60k obliterates and 20-30k frost strikes. I could be wrong in reading the way the tooltip for the new MotFW reads....
I meant it was pointless for myself since I run in a 10-man and I am required to apply those debuffs on the boss a good portion of the time. I'm curious to see the trade-offs of sacrificing GCD's and runes vs. not apply the debuffs with mastery vs. avoidance.
I've been a little busy with start of the semester, but there's a new update on Test. Could someone jump on and test to see if they fixed the stacking bug? As of last weekend it was still broke. If not, i'll try to jump on later tonight and post an update.
