Some nice theorycrafting here, thank you for read.
Currently I use CW/HoR, two proc trinkets.
I run with an ICD addon to track them and MSBT to announce the proc.
I believe I know how to play my class and I usually rank.
Practice shows that until the chance to proc remains abysmally low (unlike WoTLK), no proc trinket should be mentioned anywhere close to BiS list. Ever.
- trinkets proccing 1st time on 40-50 second of fight, long after GoAK and AW are gone
- trinkets proccing right when target change was called (Ony -> Nef)
- trinkets proccing on blind dragon flight phase
- trinkets taking a 2 minute smoke-break in the middle of the fight
I've experienced it all.
I just can't wait for a day when gold and VPs will allow me to change for DMC:H + (FoA/LtS).
I dont know why 13 pages of maximizing disc discussion theres never been the discussion of replacing spirit for every other stat.
In 80% epic gear with Evangelism, Tide, Rapture, Blood elf racial,. Reforging ALL spirit to haste>crit>mastery going all out Throughput Ive still been swimming neck deep in mana to the point I dont have to hymm or fiend on any encounter unless the raid calls for it.
Even being aggressive with poh, mana is still so abundent because Tide, Evangelism that Ive been considering grabbing mage/warlock gear with 0 spirit just for throughput because I feel sitting at 50-60+ percent mana for a majority of fights is a waste.
I've been gearing for crit and mastery mainly with grabbing up every piece of caster gear I could get my hands on, without annoying our dps to much, and I ended up with more spirit then you and I am very very close to be oom on most encounters and that is with using mana injector pots hymn and fiendx2.
This works for me since our healer team is pretty decent and I can rely on them to be able to their job. Cause I do not have the mana to really help out on other jobs.
I am mainly tank healing though on ChimeronHC I do have to keep a grp up and that is incredibly close on mana leaving me as good as oom in the last few % of the fight reducing my shield spam there.
We're 2/13 hc with having had sup 10% conclave wipes so I figured that seeing those early HC fights do get close on my manapool I will get more spirit cause I highly doubt this will work on more healing intensive fights.
Don't mind my bit messy specc been experimenting a bit
My advice is get the trinket, L2S is in the heroic BIS list because there is nothing better, including all currnet the heroic 379 trinkets. If you don't need the hit, reforge it, still the best choice for your first purchase. After that go for your set bonus.
Can we get the first post updated in regards to reforging advice? I'm seeing tanks reforging INTO hit and expertise saying "It's because EJ recommends it". As it's currently written, it seems to advise reforging tanking stats into these two for threat, but threat isn't an issue right now.
I was sitting at 8.76% Dodge and 14.47% Parry, so a combined mitigation of 23.23%. I removed the reforging on everything that I had reforged Dodge --> Parry. This brought my total mitigation combined (sorry, forgot to write down the exact values of the two, but it brought Dodge up to around 10% and Parry down to around 13%) to only 23.38%, so while I was definitely losing a very small amount of overall mitigation (0.15% to be exact) the loss in Parry and subsequent loss of Hold the Line up time was definitely not worth it.
Remember that what you're seeing on your in-game character sheet does not account for diminishing returns.
I just acquired Fury of Angerforge for uh 2h, but the uptime seems shit (it takes about 1.30 minutes to even get it activated). The larger amount of crit with a reforge to haste seems to make it about equal to the Heart of Solace statwise. But due to the crappy uptime, the buff doesnt do anything and can actually fall off, I dont think the extra 200 str is good enough to make up for this lost uptime. Has anyone run any raids and compared the stats? I'll give it a go on my next raid and compare as well, as it seems rather bad for a 359 epic trinket.
About smite spec, perhaps it's a valid spec, I haven't done any heroics yet. But you should consider that it's said (from players of Paragon) they change specs and make weird ones just to throw competion off.
I have done a 12~13 minutes dummy test on both setups, just by auto attacking and I am a little disappointed with the DPS gain provided by having double Landslide enchants.
Double Landslide: 4373.6 DPS
River of Death|964|788.6|99.6 %
Final Key|10|150.0|18.9 %
Landslide+Hurricane: 4166.9 DPS
River of Death|873|768.0|99.9 %
Final Key|9|135.0|17.6 %
I have made another test involving me using a standard DPS rotation for 6 minutes (popping Vendetta, Cold Blood, Slice and Dice and those sort of things), and things were very different than a static autoattack:
This is making me wonder, if having one dagger with Hurricane could actually be better than having both with Landslide? During the Landslide+Hurricane DPS rotation test, I was not spell hit capped (~1290 with 2/3 Precision), and the DPS difference between both of them was ~200, with double Landslide being the superior one.

Is there official word on whether or not Unheeded Warning - Item - World of Warcraft has had its value increased with the upcoming changes to it? Currently, Tia's Grace is ranked higher, I'm wondering if this will be the case come the patch, still? I saw some math on it a few posts back, but I'm not sure if this was the final say on it or anything yet.
