It is stated by the op that it is better to reforge out of expertise and continue to use the glyph.

In the past, most PPM-based talents have been based upon unbuffed, base weapon speed. Haste would then not decrease the chance to proc per swing, if it were based on unbuffed, base weapon speed. Haste would thus not diminish in value with respect to Sudden Doom but rather Sudden Doom would increase the value of haste further if it still holds today.

(This is still how most, if not all, PPM-based procs work today. It means you'll see a much higher uptime on the procs when you actually use abilities and/or gain haste effects, because those won't decrease the % chance to proc based on weapon speed.)

enh professions

I currently have herb/alch as my professions.
I do have a character that does herb/mining, so I have not herbed in a long time. Which profession would be best for me to do in place of herbalism?
I noticed in the gear list, there are agility enchants on the rings. I am wondering if I would benefit more from Jewelcrafting, though?

Gemming Unholy DK

I am having issues with gemming and cant seem to get a plain answer. I have gemmed to hit caps and what I couldnt hit I reforged to get there. I have been told today that I had gemmed my toon incorrectly. I know DKs use str but I was under the impression mastery and expertise where also very valuable assets to get capped. Am I incorrect in this assumption? I have my expertise at 26 and mastery is just alittle under 19. Anyways any help would be appreciated.

You should never gem for hit/expertise over strength. You cannot reforge to strength, so your only source to get more of it is through gemming. Whereas you can reforge to hit and expertise. Simple as that.

As far as the ring enchants go, is 80 Agility better then 81 from having 3x67Agility gems?
That is only if you get 3 of those gems in. In case you are wondering, 81 is the total of the difference between the regular 40Agility gem and one of the 67Agility JC only gems. Each gem gives you 27 more than the 40; so if you can get all three gems, you would only gain 1 more Agility than with the ring enchants.

Short answer: because the spreadsheet said so.

Longer answer: I pretty much gave up debating practicalities of a spec, stat, on EJ after being banned a couple of times for "adding nothing new". I'm glad someone from a top guild questions them though, you're a bit harder to dodge. Looking at you gear/reforging, I'm pretty sure you didn't know we're suppose to stack mastery now, and plan ahead for 6 minutes of casting WG and Rejuving only those targets hit by it, repeat. Oh, and if we're lucky and have some mana left, we can cast other spells as well.

Hi to all. im new on forum and my English not so good so please forgive my mistakes.
I have a mage and i like play as arcane. since Cataclysm come and on raids i see my dps low. So when i read on net i see that rotasion chnage so now to i try on tummy i see my dps better.
But Im not sure wish stats i must up. in my opinion I think hit>intelet>haste>mastery>crit. is that correct?
Also at gem i use at red intelet and yellow intelet and haste and at blue intelet and hit. Is that correct?
Thanks for helpa nd sorry if my English so bad.

On the other hand, agility is a mitigation and avoidance stat, giving crit, AP, dodge, which contributes to savage defense uptime and absorb amount (an attack that is dodged also means that SD will be up longer).

I love u. Ive been trying to say this so my fellow feraltanks on the server but they all run around with stamina and raid ten man content.

Agility is the stat giving you most atm cuz of the 2 ap in bear form aswell, which makes the savage defense slighty better then when going pure mastery, but also cuz it gives u the extra stuff aswell as dodge crit threat.

Sorry

Hey im sorry i didnt proof read my last question for errors, I should have really submitted a rough draft first. But in all seriousness could you respond to my question seriously. I forgot to change my information, I am sorry about that. My question was about DW or
2h for unholy. Is the rotation the same, and with my gear what would you recommend.

While using FT/FT on caster MH in my current gear, I've found that UE hits harder than lightning bolt. (LB hits close to 9k, while UE will hit close to 6k twice at the same time)*. This changes up the priority a bit while running with FT/FT: Searing Totem>LL(with 5 stacks of Searing Flame)>UE_FS>UE>LB>SS>ES. That being said, this might differ from most players' results as I'm using Tendrils of Burrowing Dark since I've not been able to replace it yet.

*No buffs, totems, flasks, etc.

Hello! I'm running as Enhancement Shaman. Currently wielding FT/FT with caster weapon in MH. After patch that will need to be replaced. I was thinking, I've look through the BiS lists and everything on this forum, but I'm just curious, if heroic weapons isn't currently available, what are the non-heroic BiS MH & OH? I'm guessing Nefarian + BoE Axe? Maybe the fists considering the set bonus?

Also. I'm currently running Tia's Grace & Fluid Death, since I'm going for the Hurricane deck next patch, which one of 'em should be replaced?

Sorry if i misplaced my question.

I just dropped from the PTR after some guildies told me that Marksman is kinda "broken" at the moment. Due the current aimed shot critting the test dummy for round about 48k, it's possible to get more DPS with a two shot rotation favored over our known rotation system. I tried it myself and started some test runs on the dummy with a premade character and usual marksman specc.

Started with applying Serpent Sting, following by Rapid Fire with Orc Racial, 2x Steady for haste buff and began to hammer Aimed Shots until the haste buff was about to drop. I continued pushing two buttons at all, 2x Steady Shot (for haste buff) followed by an aimed shot. Once I got an instant aimed shot, I just casted it twice.

Ended up with 19550 DPS with two buttons over 10 minutes testing.

Can anyone of you confirm this? Is this supposed to be intended? Its actually higher dps than playing a normal rotation based setting.

I'm confused.
