hi, although ive read the forums here for a long while ive neer made an acc and posted lol.
firstly id like to thank cheeky for all the hardwork put into the spreadsheet and those that have already asked and answered questions on the thread - its taught me alot already.
The World of Warcraft Armory this is the link to my hunter. i was semi twinked to be ready for bt and mh raiding so ive a pew pvp bits and a few t5 equivlent bits. my guild is currently raiding mh and bt we are 4/5 in mh and 6/9 in bt. i am happy with my dps atm and where i come on dmg meters but i would jus like a little fine tuning that will maybe make me that one or 2 places higher
this is the macro that i use
/castrandom [target=pettarget,exists] Kill Command
/castsequence reset=2/target !Auto Shot, Steady Shot
i use a cat, i have good latency. - when i use cooldowns i use them all at once TBW, trinkets rapid fire etc.
i would just like to ask a few questions
is the macro that i use correct as im not really up with macros and get confused with the whole 1:1 and 3:2 business
is it right to use all cooldowns at once or is there a certain order that will maximise my dps
is my kit ok i am currently 2 badges awaay fron nynjah's tabi boots which with gems will cap my hit rating.
are there any accessable items that will greatly increase my dps
if there i any more information you need to know please ask
I am in a End Game raiding guild as the solo boomkin. My gear is relatively strong 4p6 but the difficulty I am having is gemming. I guess I am trying to overcome the thought of giving up spinels for Reckless pyrestones or Quick Lioneyes. When I load my gear in Rawr it spits out Intellect gems, but MaxDPS says quick lioneyes. I guess I am a little confused trying to min/max my toon. Also when one loads a bunch of haste, what then becomes the best casting rotation. On boss fights I like to keep IFF and IS up, but drop IS when it becomes a DPS race. Understand that I NEVER run out of mana, in fact I find it difficult to run out. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Here is my armory link.
Hi guys, sorry but due to grammar fault i can't make another topic for my question so i'll write it here. Hope you can answer me on this.
Today i wanted to build my own cat dps spreadsheet, not an avarage one, but one which let's the user tell what to do, at given times, say when you've got 40-41 energy, when you got 4-5 cps, maybe wait for energy to go up and so. I am familiar with matlab programming, not an ace at it but i can do it, and it serves the purpouse.
I have some questions about how moves work.
For example i find myself in trouble when the time for shread-mangle comes. Especially let's say for example that i got Naturalist talent, and even Improved Sanctity aura and an arms warrior Blood frenzy. When it comes to white damage, to start with, are these buff multiplicative (16,68%) or additive (16%)? I'm lean to think the 2nd one, for semplicity's sake.
Secondly how do you calculate a mangle or shred damage? You get (+16% on white damage * moltiplicator (225 for shred for example) + 16% flat damage? or else? the flat damage isn't in any way increased by attack power right?
What's the formula for rip?
On mangle/shread miss dodge how much energy is given back?
I am a big fan of this thread an EJ bb. Quick question to all of you awesome theorycrafters. From what I understand armor pen is a stat that increases in value the more you stack. At what point does armor pen become valuable for kitty raid dps? I have looked through the forums and have found only a couple of posts regarding this. Has any information regarding its mechanics come into light that might have changed its value to feral druids in high quantities? (aside from the fact that rip is unaffected)
6 mp5 enchant to chest is basically free. 81 heal to weapon is fairly cheap. Buy the crusader hat and spend your honor on bracers and/or boots. Don't overlook kodohide stuff, I think mp5 works better than crit at starting levels of gear and progression. Upto you if you want to insightful gem crusader's hat, the gem is at least 10mp5.
Sounds like good advice to me! Thanks!
I'm going to sit down and read through the rest of this thread, I may have more questions when I'm done.
Now basically i have skimmed through like a couple pages every like 15 or so, so i might have misses a similar question (91 pages is alot!) and a feind sent me here inderectly to see if yall could help.
i am currently 10/48/3 very old cookie cutter spec i know. and i am hugley frustrated on the matter. i want to keep my fire in all ways possible but its not performing as well as i thought i should be. i am aware i am above hit cap (debating on taking points out of elem prec) i am using scorches, fireballs and fireblasts (mana hasnt been a giant issue why i am not sure) since i am 1 of 2 fire mages is guild usually its 5 scorch then fireball my life away and use fireblast when cd is over. i utilize pots emeralds and if need be i use mage armor over molten. fully raid buffed (not including totems) i have about 1350 fire damage, 1260 or 1280 arcan (not exactly sure) i relize that with the T5 set bonus i should be using AB alot but mana wise it stinks and i am not seeing alot of damage with it. (i could be wrong)
in a 25 man raid i am anywhere from 7-4th and frost mages are killing me on dps. i have debated on trying the 2/48/11 spec . other than doing that is there any advice on my spell rotations gear ect. on a side note usually on very long fights like bear boss and usually lurker or somthing i am top notch dps. (maybe i am asking for too much to be better dps overall trash ect) any advice would be greatly appreciated (aside from telling me go arcane i would cry) thanks so much for your time
In an uncharacteristic display of candor, Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime confirmed during a conference call that the much-anticipated Wrath of the Lich King expansion will be released between October to December of this year. Shacknews quotes Morhaime saying, "we have said that it will be coming out this year," referring to earlier speculation stemming from a Vivendi press release. "I can tell you it's not coming in the July to September quarter," Morhaime states, and mentions that Beta testing "is going very well".
The confirmation of any release date is uncommon practice for Blizzard, whose common response to such questions is "when it's ready." Apparently, Blizzard is confident that Wrath of the Lich King will be ready within the year. From the polish that can be seen in the current Beta, this doesn't seem far from the truth. In the same conference call, Morhaime also discussed competing MMOs, the status of ongoing development (that is to say, very little information), and how World of Warcraft has been refined as a game over the past four years.
Can someone who's more experienced at number crunching and probability calculation try and figure out what is the theory crafted DPS of 13/58 destruction? Unfortunately I barely passed my statistic class and cannot figure out how to incorporate things like molten core and empowered imp into probability calculation.
Mostly I wonder with molten core, if it would be better to just rely on immolate, or should throw in a curse of agony for better molten core procs.
