With the changes to heroic strike and SMF, is it worth going 3/3 deep wounds now instead of 3/3 incite?

I am still not really sure what the "best" base spec is for 4.0.6, I am thinking about these:

spec a
spec b
spec c

Or maybe add Furor into the equation?

Anyone that has had similar thoughts?

Have any models been run with low crit (10%-15%) but with relativly high haste and mastery values?.
There is still around 30%-40% of our damage coming from dots.

what do you guys think about the vampiric touch glyph?

i asked most of our healers and all of them would basically prefer the 15% HP
but if you think about it with the glyph one single rune tap heals for nearly the same amout as the HP you would get without the glyph :O

personally i think it's usually better with the glyph active
but there are some encounters where you just want those 15% HP


it also depends on how you tend to use your VB
if you use it as an precaution when expecting large dmg the glyph is pretty awesome
but if you prefer to use it as an "oh shit" button the 15% HP wins

what do you think?

Hi i've been trying to get the applet version to work for me but every time it comes up with an error straight away after i accept the security certificate. This is possibly due me using a mac but i thought an online applet would be compatible. I'm going to use a friends PC to see if i get the same error.

Firstly may I thank your community for some excellent help from just reading other posts, I would like if I may to ask a question regarding Crit Vs Haste for arcane mages, I have read the forums here as best I can but still am a little unsure, if possible I would like some info on 2 matters:

Pre Raid, Mostly heroic/rep Gear
and
Raid Gear equipped if there indeed is a difference.

I understand that Arcane is not the "preferred" spec in cata but i like it and want to stick with it if poss and try to make it work for me.

Patch today indicates that Lay of Hands will now cause Forebearance on target. Forgive me, but I am not at all sure if this means target will not be able to use some critical cd's or abilities, particularly those available to tanks. Please advise.

In my opinion, the 8/2/31 (3 Moonglow, 0 Genesis, 2 Furor) that is favored in 4.0.3 is probably still the optimal spec, at least from what my spreadsheet tells me.

4.0.6 changes

Improved Soul Fire now increases Fire and Shadow damage done by 4/8%, rather than 7/15% spell haste. In addition, this talent has been moved to tier-3 Destruction, switching places with Aftermath.
IMHO demo locks can not use this awesome talent anymore -> best talent tree for demo locks should be changed (being a newbie in Cata I do not want to write down ideas).

Any word on TG deep wounds vs incite in 4.0.6? With the changes to our SEPs and using HS only in influx rage situations, will we be switching to 3/3 deep wounds from now on?

Yeah I played around with the Volcano card alot more after I posted yesterday (sadly you can get very unlucky with like 10+ smites not proccing it) but I do think if you have alot of gold it's not a bad trinket to grab for starters. It can be useful even if you don't try to time the procs, atleast in heroics and heavy smite raid bosses like Halfus and others. For me, I don't have any desire to grind Tol Borad rep again and already have the Tsunami Card so I'll probably use Volcanic deck for heavy smite phases and Tear of Blood for others until I can nab Fall of Mortality.

Sorry, my question to be more precise is, do warrior, druid or DK tanks have abilities that will be blocked if forebearance is placed upon them?
