Hey with 4.0.6 it seems like we are getting a couple of major sheilds.
1. Blood Shield now stacks instead of removing previous shields. I was thinking that we would still want to spread them out so that we get as much possible uptime on BS as possible.
2. The Scarlet Fever debuff is no longer applied by BB but now by blood plague.
So does this pretty much kill disease-less tanking? We want the debuffs from both diseases now. Also, does this now change BB to be completely unused except in >4 mobs AOE and when we have a free BB from Crimson Scourage?
Also, does greater dmg on Heart Strike make it viable for single target tanking?
I might be coming a little late to this discussion, but wouldn't avoidance be a better stat than mastery because avoidance (namely dodge) can prevent magical damage as well as physical damage, whereas blood shield can only absorb physical damage?
I mean this clearly situational and depends on the fight but it would appear stacking avoidance would be more sustainable longterm and mastery gear can be kept in reserve for heavy physical damage fights.
We have updated the site for 4.0.6. Keep in mind that the Armory is down while the maintenance is going on, so some features may be unavailable.
New items and changes to items might not all show up at this time, either. We need to wait until those changes show up on the Armory. We expect that will happen during the day today after the patch goes live. Our plan is to clear our our item cache late tonight and then everything will be available Wednesday morning.
We also have a post talking about changes we are working on due to the 4.0.6 patch. Any feedback would be welcome: 4.0.6
I don't have anything to add to the discussion, but I just wanted to say thank you to you revulva and whoever your have on your Mr. Robot team. This is a fantastic tool you guys have going here and I appreciate all the hard work you're putting into it. Keep up the great work!
With the changes to mastery and the scaling of int etc. Is there a new list of stat weights in 359 gear? I am running SimCraft now to find out where my values may be but would like some numbers to reference against.
Hilariously, the succy sucks pre-patch compared to the imp still. The simulators were using incorrect modelling and numbers. Imp is still the best single target pet.
Pretty sure that's not correct. Here are two ranked parses on WoL from the same week (1/25), one as affliction (Maloriak), one as Destro (Chimaeron). The succy's DPS and effective DPS are higher than the imp's, not to mention the demon soul contribution in 4.03. In both cases the pets were left on the boss full time.
My server just went live and I did some short 3 min dummy tests with no cd's (dummy above 80% hp). The 7 SS 15 second rotation is not viable since I'm missing the 10% haste buff. The results are as follows:
4 SS, 1 AiS, follow AiS proc with AS, 10 second rotation: 14500 dps
4 SS, 2 AS, AiS only on procs, 10 second rotation: 13200 dps
6 SS, 2 AiS, follow AiS proc with AS, ~13 second rotation: 15-17k dps, not enough base focus regen to keep up the rotation over a minute. Consider not using AS at all
As always, this kind of data is anecdotal and should be taken with a grain of salt.
I am new to the game of WOW...only a few years in comparison to most. I have been trying to follow the threads on Fury dps..TG specifically and the BIS discussions. We have are now 12/12 on cata and should start some heroic content soon but still gearing many in 25 man. My question to the group is with all the discussions around low hit vs. high hit how has it tested out for each of you? Personally I went from about 20% hit down to the following set up and seen about a 2k dps increase.
Now by no means am I geared as much as some of you are but i am still dissappointed with my raid/dmg. I am having trouble with rage generation and have been performing sub par to where other melee classes have been. depending on the raid boss encounter I am hitting around 16k to 22k while others are ranging 18k to 30k.
I will be testing reforge for mastery results on test dummies today to compare to current set up currently hitting about 13-14k no buffs and no cd's on dummies.
There is a lot here for me to read, and truly I do not want to read it all. To much to take all at once, when I just have one question. With 4.0.6 changing our mastery to 3% instead of 2.5% will it change being worse than crit? If there are any calculation please show me. Also, what exactly are our "direct heals"?
[Glyph of Corruption]
[Glyph of Imp]
[Glyph of Haunt]
Can anyone give the math or at least an explanation of why Glyph of Agony is no longer one of our glyphs and why Glyph of Corruption has become so powerful? After an hour or two at the dummy I have yet to see a significant increase in instant SB proc rates for a 5 minutes fight for about 10 fights. I'm not sure if it changes but before it was a matter of if both Nightfall and Glyph of Corruption proc'd while the other proc was active it would be wasted. Not sure if this changed... or how it COULD change but I'd like to see under the hood for why this is being stated in the OP.
But latest run of Rawr actually valued haste way over crit. With all raid buffs enabled and 359 gear it showed that 19% haste and 32% crit was better then 12% haste and 36% crit. Question is - should I listen to Rawr and reforge/regem/reenchant gear to suggested by rawr configuration or leave it all as it is?
