Now as the new patch is out, what do you guys think will be the best trinket to use for me as a alchemist?
"Heart of Ignacious" (Stacking spell power buff that can stack up to 5 and get 385 spell power + Use: 321 haste x how many stack I have that is max 5 so I will get 1605 haste) or "Vibrant Alchemist Stone" (Gives 351 intellect and 194 haste)
Heart of Ignacious gives a bit more spell power but no intellect + that I can decide when I want to blow of my trinket.
Vibrant Alchemist Stone gives me intellect (spell power) + constant 194 haste.
I also wonder, since they have buffed our mastery so much (Sorry, I havn't been reading so much on this site, so I dont know if it's already answered), is mastery better than crit now?
Hello. I'm looking for some frost mage advice with regard to armors, glyphs, and mana efficiency talents. Before the patch I ran with mage armor and glyph of frostbolt, deep freeze, and frostfire. Last night I ran with glyphed molten armor instead of Frostfire and optimized my crit in Rawr for it, but I probably only had a 75-85% uptime on single target fights, and much lower on AoE fights, plus I had to fully evocate. I know Rawr doesn't seem to support armor switching so I wanted to know what other frost mages are doing. My options seem to be to stick with this setup, go back to mage armor and never worry about evocation plus get the extra magic resist, try moving my 2 points into Clearcasting from Netherwind Presence to increase my molten armor uptime, and then decide which glyphs to use based on uptime and reforge accordingly.
Firs time here, so if my math is way off, chop my head off gently please.
Patch 4.0.6 brings about a lot of changes, and some serious frost nerfs. I will try to do a breakdown of the glyphs based on how Frost PvE damage was (and will be) spread, but i have a thin number of logs to lean on.
Boss dummies are no longer frozen by deep freeze, allowing for easier ingame testing, so some more accurate damage spreads should be available soon.
Based on the few old combat logs i could dig up, my damage was spread possibly somewhat like this:
Note: Tried to combine FoF with FFB, causing over 80% critrate with FFB. This playstyle may no longer be optimal.
*Glyph of Deep Freeze*
As expected, Deep Freeze got hit massively by the nerf bat. Predicting DF to be now 16,6 % of my damage (unglyphed). The Glyph still adds over 3 percent damage, making it a rather strong Prime Glyph.
*Glyph of Frostfirebolt*
FFB is expected to make out 13,3% of my damage after 4.0.6. This is assuming one still attempts to FoF FFB when possible. Gut tells me I shouldn't. If I don't, i predict FFB damage to go down by 40% or so, and same with the Glyph. The Glyph now adds a little under 2 percent damage, assuming it's still viable to FoF the FFB. If one plays to avoid stacking FFB with FoF, the Glyph is worth around 1,2 percent damage. Somewhat weak.
Note: FFB dot not taken into consideration
*Glyph of Icelance*
IL is expected to make out 24,1% of my damage after 4.0.6. It hasn't gotten much stronger, but other spells have gotten weaker. The Glyph still seems somewhat weak on paper. 1,2 percent damage. I just hope my math is right.
*Glyph of Molten Armor*
Assuming you're able to keep spamming Frostbolt with Molten Armor on, this glyph is quite awesome. Once you reach the SoftCritCap, this glyph will be less valuable. If you reforge crit to mastery, this Glyph still allows you to gain 2 mastery levels, increasing all damage vs frozen targets with 5%. As long as DF and IL makes out more than 40% of your damage, this glyph is worth at least 2% damage increase, more if you're not yet at the SoftCritCap.
*Glyph of Frostbolt*
This looks nice. Assuming CritSoftCap, FB crit %: 34 -> 39, 134% -> 139%. 1% = 1,34. 139% / 1,34 = 103,73%.
3,73% more damage done with Frostbolt. The Glyph adds somewhere close to 1,6 percent damage, making it interesting.
Conclusion: Glyph of Deep Freeze is still a must. Molten Armor is probably the 2nd strongest Glyph, if you have the mana pool for it. After that it's a close race between the other three. Glyph of Frostbolt is possibly the strongest at the moment. Once gear ilvl goes up, Glyph of Frostfire bolt is likely to overtake it.
Has anyone found a good BiS raid gear list yet for resto druids? Specifically, (non-heroic raid) what is the best off-piece for the 4T11? I've picked up the Chest off Magmaw which is what I'm thinking is BiS by running the numbers. (I am still learning how to treecalc though...)
I have almost enough valor points for my first T11 piece, so I was hoping to find a BiS list that I could read some discussion on before I bought anything. Obviously I will avoid the pieces that drop from BH and keep farming that each week.
After raiding last night the fury warrior in our guild had about 2k higher DPS on fights, while I was about 1000 DPS lower than my normal. I just can't believe HS was accounting for that much damage. The server was acting funky last night and booted me a few times, I hope it was just latency issues.
in wrath i was using an addon that was able to track raid buffs specific to rogue dps but i cant seem to find it in cata. the addon would well me if i had appropriate buffs like windfury, and debuffs like sunder on my target.
can anyone tell me what this addon was called, and/or where i can find an updated version of this?
