What does haste actually give you? Quicker cast times - Run out of mana faster... 1,2 or 3 extra ticks on Riptide/Healing Rain or Earth-living Weapon? Sure, I can see the benefit of more ticks for Healing Rain, but in 10man, the chances are your not going to get 6 people in the AoE, so is this really effective? as for getting that extra tick for Riptide or ELW wasting points in haste? why? for an extra 2k health each? this will probably turn to overheal in most cases?
Crit? Relying on a crit heal to save a tank is never a good option in my opinion, so you could stack crit till 50% and that heal you really need to count....it doesn't?
Mastery? an interesting ability, useless if the "healee" is potentially full health, but life saving if less than 50%, so, why not change healing techniques? only heal some1 if they are less that 50% health...ok the other healer will probably top them up, let them..they will soon learn they can't do that all the time, you will then become an effective healer, Riptides on 3 people, yup, no benefit from mastery what so ever but mana cost is negligible, healing rain if you can, then burst heal with healing surge, I have no use for GHW or HW so slow at casting and Chain heal is... how can i say...your better off letting Riptide continue.
For people that think shamans are the weakest healers, take a look at the calculations i've done on my own gear...I must warn you though, they aren't completely accurate. The red Cells are to be change to your liking and compare what is best, for me Mastery is second to none.
