I will have to disagree with that. Due to the nerf HS had, spamming it, isn't one of the best options. With a solid 8% hit and the use of some rage management you are free to have a solid rotation including HS during Colossus smash. Also we shall never forget raid buffs such as 10% haste, BL, Unholy frenzy and the damage taken during boss fights. So i ll have to go with mastery which provides you with: 1. RB hits harder 2. DW provides higher physical damage 3. Enrage will also be higher. These combined with the 2/3 Incite talent gives me the right to believe that mastery>hit. Of course i can be always be wrong cause only maths can give us solid proofs, so i ll be waiting for the experts opinion.

I know that Avalanche is not our BiS weapon enchant, but given the highly undesirable proc that is Hurricane, and the heavy cost that is Landslide, it is pretty much our interim Weapon Enchant on the cheap.
Since it changed to proc on spells, I did a small test, and also confirmed it can proc off of DoT ticks, including Censure. Was a quick test, hit a dummy once, it applied Censure, I backed off and waited. Before it fell off, Avalanche procced.
Consecration, being the totem-like effect it is, does not proc Avalanche.
I do know that Landslide does beat it hands down, but not everyone reading here can afford Landslide yet. Avalanche does seem to have a little better effective range, given the extra sources that can trigger it now. Apparently it is also counting as a spell now, as some have reported it being reflected by spell reflects, and being soaked by Grounding Totems in PvP.
I would like to say I could crunch the numbers, but I got no clue where to even start on the viability of the enchant, or the effective level of it (aside from being better than Hurricane and worse than Landslide).

I just wanted to check in with what people are experiencing in 4.0.6 in both sims and actual gameplay, I am having a caster wep still beat out an agi wep (Due to the melee damage increase in spell casting weps), but using Windfury, around 350 gear level.
Is this the general consensus among the community for now, for maximum damage keep running the spell casting wep?

I will agree with Greentouch that is way too much for someone to simply just make compared to others earned in raids.

With the new ret mastery in 4.0.6, where does Impatience of Youth stand with the other 359 trinkets?

I'm just curious. How have you inserted WM in your spell rotation? Did you cast it regularly or just wait until the appropriate time/situations to use it? I found it very useful as AOE, on a large trash groups but I haven't test it on single target.

Perhaps the specifics of the dual wield bug are different between characters then. I have been able to dual wield as Resto and Ele since the initial Cataclysm patch and my offhand has never appeared broken. I don't abuse it when raiding as Resto, but I do as Elemental sometimes to see how high I can stack my spellpower.
The stats show up on my character sheet, including the bonus spell power of the imbues. With two weapons equipped, no mainhand imbue, and Earthliving on my offhand, my heals proc the Earthliving buff. I can also Unleash Elements normally.

Hey Guys and Gilrs;
as you can see I'm new here - at least as a active user - but have been reading this fine forum for sometime now.
As there are no "Best-In-Slot"-List for our beloved SV-Spec, I thought about making one for
- Pre Raid
- Non-Heroic Raid
- Heroic Raid
I know that a perfect "Best-In-Slot" is not really possible for us but i think it's worth a try....
What do you think?

Even if it doesnt more valuable than mastery it may still be more valuable than crit and haste; meaning that when there is already mastery on the piece (and you are expertise capped) it could be good to reforge any hatse/crit to hit.

Also, concerning the latest macro, please keep in mind that it might remove the buff applied by another rogue tricksing you, as both buffs share the same name. Your best bet to avoid such thing, would be to CancelAura by SpellID, but I don't know of any way to do this in a macro now.

Taken from the OP:
Avalanche (230 DPS) beats Hurricane (around 95 DPS), it should be used until Landslide is more readily available. Landslide (450 DPS) will be supreme once [Maelstrom Crystal] are more readily available.
