I just did some testing on poisons. (IP/DP vs WP/DP)
Testing setup was 2 runs of 30 mins on a (regular) training dummy
Character was naked except for weapons (2.6/1.4)
Both weapons enchanted with Hurricane
Run 1 was MH - Wound, OH - Deadly, time was 11:18:28 - 11:48:32 ((duration 30 mins 4 sec))
Damage Done: 2365624
Total DPS: 1306.5
2130 Melee swings 1377240
584 Deadly Poison 524392 (897.93 avg)
990 Wound Poison 338973 (342.39 avg)
117 Main Gauche 125019
Run 2 was MH - Instant, OH - Deadly, time was 11:50:09 - 12:20:18 ((duration 30 mins 9 sec))
Damage Done: 2368435
Total DPS:1304.6
2135 Melee Swings 1427880
584 Deadly Poison 506335 (867.01 avg)
618 Instant Poison 307597 (497.73 avg)
122 Main Gauche 126623
This would leave me to believe that WP/DP beats IP/DP. I would like if someone would run the same test with gear (exp, spell hit cap) on a raider's dummy, then we can compare. Also, If you had dual Landslide or Land/Hurr, that may also help.
For now, In the dual Hurricane situation, I would say WP/DP is better.
EDIT:
Ok, I just ran a second series of tests.
Testing setup was 2 runs of 10 mins on a (raider's) training dummy
Character was fully geared with 26 expertise, and spell hit capped (weapon speed:2.6/1.4)
Both weapons enchanted with Hurricane
Run 1 was MH - Wound, OH - Deadly, time was 12:49:15 - 12:59:21 ((duration 10 mins 6 sec))
Damage Done: 2053067
Total DPS: 3374.1
763 Melee swings 1094791
197 Deadly Poison 533213 (2706.66 avg)
393 Wound Poison 293249 (746.18 avg)
57 Main Gauche 131814
Run 2 was MH - Instant, OH - Deadly, time was 12:32:04 - 12:42:11 ((duration 10 mins 7 sec))
Damage Done: 1878116
Total DPS:3076.1
766 Melee Swings 1023085
194 Deadly Poison 476147 (2454.37 avg)
180 Instant Poison 257649 (1431.38 avg)
53 Main Gauche 121235
Here I am showing the same thing, Wound being better than IP. In both sets of test runs, IP had a few more chances to proc than WP due to melee strikes, yet in both cases, WP did more damage overall than IP.
