Currently equipped is the Witching Hourglass and Stump of time. When I run this in Rawr, it strongly prefers Tendrils and the serpent over the other two and I cannot figure out why. Anyone have some ideas?
Also, what's a good haste/crit rating to shoot for in a raid setting? Since the patch, I've reforged quite a bit into haste since ignite munching has shown crit as less important to some extent. Anyone know an approximate value where this may fall off and crit becomes more important? I currently have 15% haste and 22.75% crit self buffed.
It's not significant, especially on single-target fights with no AoE-able adds. With 1 point, It's a passive 12rp/min, which is an extra FS every 2min40sec.
With AoE(Ie. Magmaw), assuming you're getting your fair share of the killing blows, its value increases a bit and can bring in a decent amount of rp. On the other hand, it's hard to avoid overcapping when you get so much rp coming in at once so a portion will most likely be wasted.
In any case, it's the best talent to takes points out of if you want something else.

I have a question concerning aoe dmg of the hunter speccs. I see more and more hunters having a SV-Specc for aoe heavy fights. My question is: Has anyone of you data backing up that SV does the most aoe dmg. In my own experience i felt BM with Worm and BW does alot more aoe Dmg. (Tried it mainly Magmaw)
I tested aoing at the 4 puppets that stand next to each other in Og and hat 2-3k higher dps with BM than with SV.
2. Since the combat's mastery MG being changed, WP comes very close to IP on mainhand. And it is reasonable to choose WP in those encounters which require target swaps.
I just did some testing on poisons. (IP/DP vs WP/DP)
Testing setup was 2 runs of 30 mins on a (regular) training dummy
Character was naked except for weapons (2.6/1.4)
Both weapons enchanted with Hurricane

This would leave me to believe that WP/DP beats IP/DP. I would like if someone would run the same test with gear (exp, spell hit cap) on a raider's dummy, then we can compare. Also, If you had dual Landslide or Land/Hurr, that may also help.
For now, In the dual Hurricane situation, I would say WP/DP is better.

Here I am showing the same thing, Wound being better than IP. In both sets of test runs, IP had a few more chances to proc than WP due to melee strikes, yet in both cases, WP did more damage overall than IP.
ok hi all first of all i feel noob and im confused lol
anyway my shamans not all that geared so i dont see how i could do these rain or chain spams i would run out of mana faster then ever atm i use a rotation,
Usually i go riptide,healing wave, healing wave,chain heal (generally on the riptide target to increase it), healing wave, healing wave, riptide repeat this usually get me doing 10k or more hps and is still quite conservative of mana because im not geared enough to spam surge or greater or rain.
Anyway here's my armoury could anyone please give me suggestions on changes i should make if im doing something wrong, at the moment im all for crit and haste not mastery my crit and haste are about even at around 1k rating and i like it there feels comfortable and i really dislike mastery lol.
