My hardcasting AiS rotation got somewhat lower DPs, than the default MM rotation (non-hardcasting AiS).
Somebody can put here his actionslist?

The latest Aimed linewould like to makle it sure that I don't shoot aimed, if I need to refresh SrS with Chimera, and needed to save focus for it.

Why is +50 mastery is listed as BiS feet enchant (for 2h) if haste has higher value for 2h ?
And well i'm so happy i converted to frost after unholy nerfs. Having Bres will give us even nicer utility epsecialy for 10 mans.

Latest PTR changes:

* It is now possible to remove Weakened Soul effects that were a result of another priest's Power Word: Shield through Strength of Soul.
* x Power Word: Barrier's cooldown has been increased to 3 minutes, up from 2, and its effect has been reduced to 25%, down from 30%.

If they are going to nerf one of the biggest draws for Disc in hard modes, when are we going to see an aoe healing buff to compensate?

Whaaaaat...

Hello,

I have a question.

Am I the only one who feels that 2h Unholy is much better than frost DW ? I was playing uh whole time since wotlk, with my gear now I did 17-19k on burst (dummy), keeping it at about 15-16k, and when I'm in frost DW, I can't even reach 15k. What's the problem ?

Also from my observations, Frost is generally based on how much we get Rime or Killing Machine>then comes good dps, and unholy takes a while to reach good dps, but it's really sick. Am I doing smth wrong ? I really would like to play in frost DW, but if I can't fix this problem, that's pointless losing so much dps.

I got some bad news for you guys who enjoy killing the bosses in Outlands for the gold.
* The gold amounts on the following encounters have been substantially reduced: Flame Leviathan, Magtheridon, Gruul the Dragonkiller, Doom Lord Kazzak, and all encounters in Karazhan.
this is coming from the ptr patch notes.

A quick question from a Noob Pally that would like to tank

what is the final number for Dodge, Parry, Hit chance % Expertise 26, and Block when I looked at my pally in the stat blocks of my character screen at lvl 85. do I want 20% parry, 30% dodge, 40% block, Expertise 26, and 8% to hit .... I understand that you want to hit cap. But a lot this talk is over my head and I would really benefit from a concrete goal to reach in each stat block for a balanced tank.

What's up.

I was just looking over the talent build and I had a question about the last 2 points spent on Emberstorm to get -1.0 sec cast time reduction on Soul Fire and -0.25 sec cast time reduction on Incinerate.

Keep in mind I'm just throwing this out there and its not tested in any way... it's just how my brain works

Since you keep your Corruption DOT up the whole fight, would it be beneficial to spend those 2 Emberstorm points on Improved Corruption instead to get +8.0% damage? My train of thought (which is probably wrong) is that you only cast Incinerate 3 times when Molten Core procs and you only get 1 sec faster cast on Soul Fire. You can Soul Burn up to 3 times during the fight to get instant Soul Fire. +8.0% damage on a DOT just sounds good.

The Tricks change is gladly welcome, the range on it now can be very limiting at times. I wish they'd remove the "can't cast on mounted" thing while they were at it, found that to be a little bit of an annoying change as some tanks like to charge in on their mount in heroics (like Lost City).

The stealth changes are overdue, as others have stated we still have to wait 6 sec to get out of combat anyway but the speed change is the nicest of them.

With the latest round of patch notes up (28th) was very disappointed to see nothing for us and more buffs for other dps classes when it seems like we're lagging mid-pack still. Buffs for DK's (really?) locks and warriors. While I've seen a few people here talking about our survivability being the highest ever I still feel like we're as squishy as ever. The recoup "buff" isn't much of one at all, it started out at 3% before they nerfed it back along with taking it off the mastery for Sub and with the slight nerf to imp recoup I see this as an rollback/overall nerf disguised as a buff.

They don't seem to have much intention or desire to work on our class though, the lack of changes or responses from devs on the forums only reinforces that (have seen a few very good posts in the Rogue forums that garnered 10-15+pages of support that got no response, though that doesn't mean they weren't read, as none of the suggestions seem to be being implemented it certainly feels that way).

Rupture does seem to be possibly the least... troublesome? place to try making adjustments without it affecting PvP too much, although PvP seems to be in its most unbalanced state across all brackets at this point.

I've been taking a look at the new i358 trinket list found on WoWHead and have attempted to see how they would model into our DPS, though WoWhead currently has them listed as i378 and i391 for heroic so I'm not entirely confident in the accuracy and will come back to this post if I find more trustworthy information.

The gear set used was the SimC-406-8 Retribution Paladin i359 BiS. Using the best enchants and TV, SoT & Exo glyphs with default talents and default buffs. The test subject was a Level 85 Blood elf paladin with no professions. The stats of the test avatar were;
Strength - 4453
Expertise - 713
Crit - 499
Hit - 1006
Haste - 1010
Mastery - 1852
DPS - 23,698
n.b. I am aware that these numbers will not reflect those on a character screen when raid buffed, I have spoken to Redcape regarding this and he has assured me that the DPS calculations do take the full raid buffed stats into account.

Under these conditions I was able to come up with the following results;

Apparatus of Khaz’goroth :
The buff for this trinket, Titanic power, shows it can stack 5 times and I have assumed a 30second duration, with that in mind I have calculated the following DPS gain.

At 1 stack we gain 1050dps.
At 2 stacks we gain 1144dps.
At 3 stacks we gain 1240dps.
At 4 stacks we gain 1334dps.
At 5 stacks we gain 1430dps.
Assuming we gain a melee critical strike every 30seconds, which should be relatively easy even at current levels of crit, we would be able to use this at full stack every time the 2minute cooldown is refreshed.

Essence of Eternal Flame :
This is a simple trinket with 383 static mastery and 1277 strength every 15seconds for an average gain of 255 strength. This trinket showed a gain of 1064dps.

Vessel of Acceleration :
Another relatively simple trinket with 383 static strength and 385 crit after a ramp of 5 critical melee strikes. This trinket showed a gain of 1365dps. The only drawback is that to reach and maintain full stacks we need to have a critical melee strike every 20seconds which I can't see being a problem even at current crit rating levels.

With all this done I have tested each of the pairs of trinkets using Crushing Weight(i359), Heart of Rage(i359) and the new i358 ones to come up with the following list, (5s) means the trinket was averaged using 5 stacks of Titanic Power.

Having played Disc or Holy for years I was recently requested to go shadow for raids and keep replenishment up to be the "Mana Battery". My problem with this is that I cannot find a rotation that keeps replenishment up to everyones satisfaction without killing my DPS. The matter becomes even worse when dealing with multiple targets, where getting off a VT and MB on the mob almost always results in me pulling aggro, or not getting the MB off before the mob dies.

It's too hard to judge, according to your simcraft charts, about mastery having a higher scale factor than crit in the new patch for the Afflic profiles. Is it true? Or do the scale factors stay the same post patch? (Crit being higher than Master)

If the notes do stick of course.

How comes that the combination of a trinket with a lower DPS gain is better than one with a higher gain? Or to tell names: Why is Apparatus & Essence better than Apparatus & Vessel? I would guess that Vessel is a really crap trinket, simpy because the use effect a) lasts only 15 seconds and b) provides less than 1300 strength, which is far less than a trinket like FoA. As a comparison, IoY from TB has 67 mastery less but 12 average strength more than the Essence and is a crap trinket to use...
And what really confuses me with this, both Apparatus and Essence are on-use trinkets, while the Vessel is a passive stat buff. That just makes no sense. A typo?

I'd say the itemlevels listed on WoWHead are correct, i358 trinkets wouldn't have higher static stats than i372 trinkets, would they? (383str Apparatus of Khaz'goroth vs 363str Crushing Weight)

Also I'm pretty sure the tooltip on Essence of the Eternal Flame is wrong and the cooldown is actually 1minute, if you take a look at the agility and intellect versions, theirs is 1min as well.
