Just an update I guess.. I was reading through the first post regarding professions and saw that Inscription is only listed as +80int.. it's currently +130int +25haste to shoulder armor. (and a bunch of other shoulder ones.. but none that really benefit a holy priest)

Wasn't sure if this was just overlooked or if an update to the information in the first post was just forthcoming.

Sekirit, since non-inscriptors will be using the Therazane rep shoulder ench (which is 50 int, 25 haste), the net benefit perk from inscription is only 80 int, and thus the OP is correct.

BOD vs. BOA

With the changes that could potentially come in 4.1 (no longer needing lash of pain glyph), I'm wondering which of the following scenarios would be higher dps if run in sumulationcraft:
- BoD and use the UA glyph
- BoA and use the BoA glyph

Simple math says that the UA glyph frees up more cast time, but the extra ticks from BoA would be high damage ticks.

My simulationcraft skills are lacking, but I'd love to hear if anyone else has tested this out.

Suggestion

I have been thinking a lot about what could make disc more viable for raid healing/prevention again without making PW:S so powerful it becomes the only spell worth casting, but haven't figured out anything I thought worth posting until something just came to my mind while looking over my talents.

The problem with disc AoE throughput in my opinion is not the PW:S being too efficient/non-efficient, it shouldn't be so powerful as to become the only spell worth casting. The problem as I see it is discs POH, it is not nearly as effective and efficient as holy's.

One very simple way to solve this would be to change the Renewed Hope talent to include POH. Doing this might even give enough reasoning to weigh stats towards mastery/crit instead of mastery/mastery/whatever.

I haven't done any math on this so I haven't calculated this balance wise. But if it would be too powerful or too weak simply swap some of the numbers for Renewed Hope.

Changing this correctly with the right numbers should generally give a fine balance where you'd want to have somewhere between 2 or 3 weakened soul's on the group you'll be healing with POH'ing to maximize POH efficiency.

Thoughts?

Okay new to the board but I have been reading for quite a bit. Just a real quick question. Last night after our raid I went and tested with my gear on a dummy first being in FP and saw that my dps with food, flask, and HoW was steady at 13k. In UP same stats. I was able to get it to be stable at 15k with spikes to 17 and 18k. I know this was a dummy and didnt have raid buffs but still there has to be something i am doing wrong or doing right. Any help is amazing. Also take a look at my gear tell me if i need help

PS i know first step is blues that is a work in progress. I have a DMC card just waiting to get it on sunday.

How big is the difference between the 3 hunter specs with a given gear level? Or where can I find this information on these forums?

I must have missed this in the Guide or the subsequent posts afterwards, but how much +hit does a DK tank need, or if we get our expertice to 26% this will be adequate? I have looked at several in game DK tanks and a few on the armory and none have any +hit except what is a base stat on a piece of gear. How do we get passed the miss/parry/dodge issues to ensure we are holding aggro? I am trying to get my DK geared enough to fill in if we don't have enough tanks for a our raids, but currently I am starting to run heroics and I have mobs that get away from me sometimes and I am trying to correct that.

Again if I missed that section could somebody link it?

Riggins mentions it in the section on threat found in this post: http://tinyurl.com/69yl9pd

The general consensus does seem to swing towards that threat is pretty much a non-issue. That being said, your mileage will probably vary.

Hmm the Succubus is the best single target dps, but the demon soul CD should be used on the felguard, this make me kinda confused, should i start the fight with felguard out+demon soul+isoul burn out the succubus, then next time it is off CD then what?
Would be nice if someone could explain how to use the demon soul on boss fights were you should be using a succubus.

That sounds excellent - is there a specific phase you need to be in, or do those NPCs show up if you've never quested in Uldum?

seeking help choosing between MM and SV

I have been keeping up with forum posts between both spec and how to manage stats from the start of cata and through all the patch changes and curious why i can't see the dps/dmg done difference MM is supposed to have over SV. I have been playing SV all cata and when i saw the patch changes that benefitted MM i tried to go back and find myself stuck doing more dps in SV spec. Im sure its something simple im missing and i know testing dps on a dummy isn't accurate and taking in account what boss fights the spec is used on. Want to know is MM worth pursuing for more damage and if so what am I doing wrong to not see the dps difference???

Sorry if I put my post here on the wrong place.
But if I was not so fustrated with trying to figure out what the heck I have been doing wrong on my Shadow Priest, I would not be here on this forum in the first place.
My post was labeled as Hand-Holding for some reason, when all I was asking was for some generalized input.

I'm getting the same results in kahorie's dk sim & rawr (even though it's only partially complete for dps dk) as well as in dummy testing. I might try it in a heroic & then tonight's raid.
