hey am just a new guy in druid tanking life lol... and am one of those noobs who can't read a spreadsheet nor can understand what rawr is all about ...
im a druid with 140k health 30% dodge and 41k armor which is one of the main stuff concerned about druids...
anyway im having this kind of problem which is not a problem with u guys but it's a problem with me lol...
i dont know what to aim for i dont know the caps and i dont know when to stop.. am starting to reforge my stuff i got 4% hit 18 mastery 14 expertise 5568 stamina and 2kish Agility iunno what to aim for and iunno what i need to do..
i have seen druids with 231k Health in a random dungeon and they had the 5% buff only which is insane i asked about their states but they only gave me their dodge which is about 45%+ please help me what i need to aim for
I apologize if something like this has already been said.
I've started to see a few paladins using the Power Torrent enchant instead of Heartsong. I also looked at the guide at the start of this thread to see the benefits of both by this i mean on proc. Is the int(and the intellect efffect) bonuses worth more than the spirit gain taking into account the ICD's over for example a 5minute fight ?
(I'm not really a mathematical mastermind or even a mathematical novice and it would be greatly appreciated for all looking at which weapon enchant is the best I think.)

I've been looking around and I do hope I am posting this question in the right place.
Our DK tank has is eyes on Ashkandi (359) for a while and I am a little concerned since he has already looted Shalug'doom and akirus the worm breaker (wich seems awesome to me from the little I know of dk tank theorycrafting).
(he also happens 2x soulblade but it's off topic)
You see I mostly fear that his choice is highly questionable if not entierly esthetical. (I also have the feeling that if he could "up" on healing gear he would)
note that most of melee classes have not got askandi yet some are still on pvp 359 weaponery. some are far from having bis like our ret pal loosing his racial to a shalug'doom axe and so on.
My question is :
is Akirus a superior choice to Ashkandi?
is Akirus a superior choice to Ashkandi? knowing that akirus is fairly useless to most other melees ?
is Akirus a superior choice to Ashkandi? knowing that akirus is fairly useless to most other melees, and that he will probaly loot akirus 372 in 3 weeks or less?
Sorry for the poor english
Hope you can help our masterlooter on this question
With the removal of ISF, is it for sure the best choice to spend 2 talent points on Embrestorm? The few incinerates one will shoot (really few if u are not that lucky) are already hichly hasted so the -0,25 isnt really -0,25 sec. And it's 2 talent points anyway spent for a 6% proc chance. Has anyone tested with those 2 points on imp corruption or Doom n Gloom?
Im hoping this isnt too in depth for this thread...
I run an elemental shaman and i have been trying to figure out how some of these other guys pull 16k damage! My rotation is FlameShock(keep up)>Totems>LavaBurst>Lit. Bolt> Earthshock(whenever Lit. Shield has 8-9 charges). Am i doing something wrong? any tricks? also, what totems are used for maximum DPS?
Mr Robot looks like a very useful tool, similar to Rawr. I'm not near BIS yet, with only 2 T11 pieces and I've had a sick problem with running out of mana. I recently reforged to gain a closer balance between Mastery and Haste (converting crit and spirt not needed for hit into Mastery). I had promising results on a test dummy and I'm hoping I get get through Magmaw tonight without being at 2% mana half way through. Admittedly I'm tossing earthquakes (after FS/LB) on worms, but even then there's been too many fights where I have been very low on mana.
Something I haven't seen talked about very much is how completely abysmal a lot of the choices for holy talents are.
I've messed around with a lot of different specs over the past few months, trying different combinations of Blessed Life, Eternal Glory, and Pursuit of Justice (along with varying amounts of points in enlightened judgements and improved judgement). The end result being that they are all pretty garbage, but we're forced to pick between them.
ToR is another talent that is just extremely underwhelming. Even on a fight that favors it (at least for our set up), Nefarian, where I'm the only healer on the nef tank in p1 and I'm the healer chasing the kite tank around in p3, so I get tons of direct heals on my beacon, ToR give terrible returns for 3 talent points. On our Nefarian kill last night, I gained 16 HP from ToR over an 8.5 minute fight. I cast 204 spells, 5 of which were made "free" ("free" because those three HP cost about 23k mana in DLs) from ToR... So a 3 point talent investment nets me about 90k "free" healing over an 8.5 minute fight (which is less than 2% of my healing for the fight).
I look at my wife's resto druid, and she has the problem of her last set of talents are all really good and has to decide which ones she wants to gain the benefit from (furor/moonglow/genesis), rather than my situation where I have to decide which talents I want to dump my last 6 points into as they are all essentially a waste.
Out of ToR, EG, PoJ, and BL, EG ends up being the least bad of them all for fights where you can't LoD frequently (I raid 10 man), but becomes very weak on fights where you can LoD a lot. BL is a complete waste of 2 talents. I think I gained a max of 5 HP from any one encounter for the three weeks I ran with it. Same for PoJ, although it's benefit more lies in the speed increase.
I don’t think anyone will argue against that you will stabilize you rotation by being at expertise cap for the rest of the encounters in this tier but, it is a DPS loss anyway you cut it and I think few will claim to have had massive disruptions in their DPS from dodges alone.
hmmm thanks for the reply. I will try again with Cho'gall tomorrow and see what happens.
